I’m here to say I’m 51 years old and I love Beach Bunny! Saw them this March with my teenage daughter, what a great performance. She’s an excellent singer and the band is tight, with a lot of sardonic hooks.

@@ravaat711 You can't really tell if somethings autotuned or not. It was invented to be really subtle. At some point ppls started cranking it up and using it as a style but if it's used "as intended" you can't tell.
That being said she's a great singer, so I'm sure she could do this without autotune

I was addicted to painkillers, including tramadol for 11 years (I started very young) after a bad car accident. When I woke up in the hospital I felt like I was floating around in heaven for the week I spent there. I kept refilling my prescriptions then buying them first as a way to lose weight because it suppresses your appetite, but later because it took me out of my own painful reality and I finally felt free to feel nothing. I didn’t know I was slowly killing myself and would soon wind up doing heroin because it was cheaper. I was bullied for my nose by my own friend relentlessly and I also obsessively started getting cosmetic surgery, 2 nose jobs, lip fillers, chin fillers, Botox/Dysport-you name it (I got a huge settlement from the accident). Today I’m almost 2 years sober and I still struggle at times being on maintenance but I’m alive. I can’t tell you how many late night phone calls my mom got from rehabs 3,000 miles away telling her I escaped again to relapse when she sent me to California to get sober. Now she gets phone calls from me every day letting her know I’m happy. I just celebrated 2 years with my boyfriend and we’ve had our own cute apartment for a year now, something I never thought possible as I used to sleep on the streets, in hotels or run around Hollywood Blvd getting high all night. Now I happily like to stay home, hang out with my kittens and do online school. I’m sure no one will read this comment but I just wanted to say it feels really good to feel “seen” by Beach Bunny as I relate to their songs about ED’s and addiction. We’re not dirty, gross people. Addicts come in every variation and some people you’d never guess are struggling behind closed doors. So be kind to others and always remind yourself that that kid at school that’s always missing class or those homeless young girls or boys you see hanging out outside Starbucks or wherever has the potential for a beautiful, fulfilling life. Never write anyone off. ✨🖤🌙

I wasn't paying attention to the song because I was honestly just watching them you all have fun-
This song means so fking much to me. When I was in my freshman year of high school, my mom developed chronic illness from complications of a gastro intestinal surgery that she had a year prior. This caused her to become reliant on opioids, the long-term side affects of which caused her body and mind to rapidly deteriorate. It put my family and I through hell for damn near 6 years and unfortunately,... ultimately ended up killing her.
She passed away on February 4th, 2020 exactly one week before my 25th birthday on February 11th. (Which was coincidently around a month before the first Covid-19 stay- at- home order was issued in California.)
I had already heard "February" so many times before her passing and thought of is at my sort of mantra during those seasonal winter/birthday blues in previous years. I even played it for my mom a few times while I was driving her to and from the hospital before her passing. When she heard it she said that she really loved it,... it broke my heart at the time.
Hearing "February" and "painkiller" will always make me think of my mom, all of her faults and beauty included. Your bands music has honestly helped me so much in my personal grieving process and everything that has come after. I've wanted to write something like this for a very long time but it took me until now, some 2 years later, to feel okay enough to do so.
So I just want to say thank you so much for making music. You have no idea how powerful and helpful it is to all of us strangers out here just trying to make our way in this sometimes very tough world.
Please keep making music for as long as you can and as long as you love doing it.
