- Does this confirm Pikes Peak Track is coming to Gran Turismo 7? I share my 5 reasons why I think its coming soon!
Hyundai N also announced today that it plans to collaborate with Gran Turismo (GT), the popular sim-racing video game franchise made for PlayStation consoles.
Hyundai N has a long history with Gran Turismo with the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo released back in 2015. And this time, Hyundai N and Gran Turismo will collaborate again for various sim-racing activities including Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) participation. More details will come later in this year.
In the meantime, visitors to Hyundai’s N24 booth can also experience 10 Gran Turismo simulators. Hyundai will also be holding an on-site competition event for visiting customers during the N24 period.

I want pikes peak in gt7 more than anything, but i think its just wishful thinking it'll happen soon. Was really hoping we'd see it 2 years ago for the 100th running of the hillclimb but no luck. Nothing in this video makes me think its coming except mayyybe the Hyundai thing, but that probably just means they are gonna run a gt branded Hyundai up the mountain next year.

Polyphony Digital have been sponsoring every motorsport under the sun for MANY years now, with little to no crossover with a GT game. PD has a motorsport division separate from the gaming side, for just this purpose. There will likely be sim rig setups at the event, for people to race on, to help support the game in the process, but.... To say they are bringing the track to GT7 based on this?... I'm sorry, but those of us who have been playing since GT1, and following PD's involvement in motorsport, can safely say "It's not likely". I hope to god I'm wrong, but it seems unlikely in this instance.

They’ve been using those blocks with Broadmoor Pikes Peak and Gran Turismo written on them for years, so that’s nothing new I’m afraid.
Yeah this and the Goodwood hill climb have had GT sponsorship for years now but nothing to show in the games sadly

that "participation" at the hill climb reads like they will have a few sim rigs set up at the event for people to play GT7.
Reasons i believe we won't see it coming to GT7. (even tho it's my biggest wish since GT Sport)
Reason 1 : They have exclusive license since 2017/no other game is allowed to use PPHC since, still they havent made use of it.
Reason 2 : Like i said exclusive license since 2017. Since then all track banners, the official logo etc. has used "Gran Turismo" branding.
Reason 3: Last year was 100th anniversary of Pikes Peak. There wasnt a better oppurtunity to add it. I told myself "if it doesnt come on the 100th we probably wont see it"
Reason 4 : PD is to scared to give its playerbase "freedom". Meaning it would probably be a offline only "time trial" track, that might also be used for the weekly time trials.
What people actually want : Free run lobbys where we freely can run up & back down the hill in a online session with friends. Cruises, touge runs etc. and its almost 100% shure they wont allow us that kind of freedom and fun. They are probably to scared that casual players get confused when people suddenly drive the wrong way down the hill, have 2 way lobbys etc...
Considering how large the track is, how much time it takes to make it + the fact that they probably wouldnt allow any kind of "driving together on the mountain" and only allow us "offline time trial" i think this is a big point on why its not coming...
But of course, i also hope it will come... As much as i hope to see Monaco / Cote d'Azur coming back, which probably also won't happen since kaz himself said "city tracks take 3x amount of time to create over a normal track"

Been praying for this for two decades😂. I figured the reason it has it been done yet, was because some fool would get overconfident with his playstation, and go up there and get killed.
Gran Turismo should have hillclimbs and mountain passes (touge).
It will be a dream come true if Pikes Peak comes to the game. I've been waiting for this for so long. Another clue towards this is that before GT7 launched they had a trailer that confirmed Dai Yoshihara's Pikes Peak Tesla coming to the game in a future update.
I wanna try this track in vr. I hope it gets added to the track roster.

@@Doughtinator Many thanks my friend. I’m 64 years old and I only got my PS5 2 weeks ago. I’ve recently retired and thought I’d give sim racing a go. I’m doing pretty well, got about 150 cars and a few days ago I got to 50 collection points. I’m still using all the driving assists though and my best time is about 5 seconds a lap below what you can do. I suppose it’s about time I removed some of the assists, any tips on where to start etc? I also used your 700 pp build in the WTC800 at Sardegna and had a very easy win only needing one pit stop for fuel and I was using fuel mix 1. This is my new favourite car.
If anything, we'll probably only get the car with the livery and that'd be it.

Few weeks ago GT was scanning Motegi I think and someone close to the game said it’s coming. Also talk of Montreal with the up coming event. Who knows but pikes peak would be fantastic. Gives us a more open real world feel. Caters to ever car guy who dreams of running some mountainous roads, caters to drifters, gives reason have 3 pikes peak cars in the cleanest already. And if they did and dirt and or snow version, man they’d check a lot of boxes with one track. So for that reason I don’t believe any of it.

I hope for the first but I believe as a selling point it's better for Polyphony to release it exclusive on GT8 that will be also on PS5.

Maybe it's better for Pikes Peak to return in GT8 instead of GT7, because no new tracks have been released since Spec 2 on GT7.
You could be on to something, Big D, but GT branding is all over race courses, cars and helmets IRL so the course markers seem like a so-so clue. It's been 18 months or so since we got a new existing track and I've been dying for one. PP would be limited in comparison. I think it's a bad idea and I absolutely don't understand Yam. Therefore, I must assume it will happen! Enjoy Pike's Peak, everyone!

12.5 mile road straight up a mountain... thatll hold my attention way better than driving circles around a short track
I like rally and the hill climb 8s cool, but it's not something with much replay value. If they gave us a proper track at the same time, then I would appreciate the gesture.
