Great explanation of the motorization process on Walsh's helmet.
Thank you!
Duddeee... The finish on those are immaculate!! That's some professional looking stuff right there. Still building mk vii.... But that helmet looks sick!!
Thanks man!
Criminally underrated channel here
Thanks!
@@plentifulprops3d I'm sure content creators just LOVE being compared to other creators but I gotta say, based on your content and suits you've made I really thought you were on par with Frankly Built in terms of subs and such. What you put out is incredible and deserves so much recognition
Amazing, wonderful job, congrats !!!
Thanks!:)
Great guide to painting and motorization!
Thanks!
Love you watch you always....❤️ love from India 🇮🇳
There is no need to buy plastic spoons. Why? Because you will have 200 failed prints in the same material as you are using. Thus you can test the entire project on identical material as you are using. Trust me, we all have 20 failed prints absolutely minimum for a small armour project. For a full suit, it's probably over a 1kg of print failures. Adhesion, clogs, imperfections, sizing issues and all sorts. I have a bucket full of random print parts that did not finish. Use these to test the process of smoothing, covering, sanding, priming sanding and painting and sanding and painting and sanding and painting and sanding and painting and sanding and painting.
I totally see where you’re coming from and I’d be inclined to agree, but I would much rather test paints on a perfect surface rather than spend all that time sanding a failed print just so I can get to a smooth enough surface to test the paint.
Really like your video!
Yo! Those look so good!!!!
Thanks bro!:))
That's impressive, really amazing work ! or what not ;)
Late but Stan would be so proud
ya know, you can find the fully closed position of the servo Before you install it. That eliminates that step.
Hi, will green frog tape also work because I just purchased for painting iron man helmet of mine
Is that the duplicolor metalcast red?
What files did you use for the leg?
I dont understand what motorisation kit did you use?
and were did you get the eyes?
Great video and really great series. I've followed it to build my first helmet and I've found this to be super helpful. One question I have for you, or anyone, is - in this configuration, what USB power bank are you using? Mine continue to turn off after a while. I've searched and found a few hacks but it seems that, for a USB-A power connector, there has to be something easy or a brand to buy that just works. Suggestions?
Where did you get the gauntlet from the file?
what size magnets do you use for the helmet?
Did you use M3x5mm screws for the servos?
Great job. You mentioned the duplicolor 1K and I found there’s three different types. There is matte, gloss and pearl. I’m guessing you used either gloss or pearl. Which one was it? The link to your hardware and tools would not come up for me in Amazon so I’m not sure if you included them there.
Man i really love these videos, i would pay you to make me the MK2 suit
I still don't understand the foldable system. How do you turn the helmet on and off without using a Micro Switch? By the way, it's very nice, congratulations!
I’m new here and before I dive into every video…. Which helmet file is that from? Having the pins she’s installed for the helmet has to be huge. I had to test everything on my mk85 and find the sweet spot for mine and it was tedious.
Are you making the full mark 42 cosplay? Also if you dont mind me asking where did you get those stl files, they came out amazing?
Nah, just the mechanic look (but who knows, maybe I will one day.) as for the files, the helmet was by Walsh 3D, and the boot and gauntlet was from the MK42 suit files by Johan3DPrintMaster
How do you make your magnetic mounts on your Iron Man MK 20 helmet?
The one designed by Levy3D already had them, but the Do3D one needed mounts so I designed them in tinkerCAD (it’s just a cylinder the size of the magnet imprinted into an 3D object of your choice, and then fused in place after it’s printed and aligned correctly)
What grow tent do you use for indoor painting?
It's a Lumo-X 5'x5' Grow Tent I got from Amazon
@@plentifulprops3dthanks!
where oh where do i get that helmet file pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I understand the sanding - priming process but do you end with a coat of primer or on your finishing grit?
Lately I’ve been applying multiple coats of primer before my last pass of wet sanding that way I get an even, consistent, and smooth surface without breaking into the layers of plastic or filler, and then I start the painting process :)
@@plentifulprops3d I was breaking into the plastic layers too so that’s what made me ask. Thank you!
Did you scuff your paint at all before applying the 2k clear coat?
All I did was wipe it down with the tax-rag really quickly to get dust off before applying the 2K :)
What are the paint names?
What duplicolor paints did you use for the Red and Gold?
Duplicolor perfect match paints, I used champagne metallic gold and dark garnet red pearl, both in the Chrysler colors
@@plentifulprops3d I live in the UK what paints should i use that is available to me?
I would like to print an helmet just to display it, not to wear it, what do you suggest?
I suggest following the same processes as the MK42 tutorial series, except for the need to scale the helmet
What light did you use for the eyes?
They’re called “cosplay LED eyes”, basically an LED shines into a piece of acrylic, and on one side of the acrylic there are white dots which the light diffuses off of. They work really well for making iron man helmets and anything else that requires seeing through lit-up eyes!:)
Do you have an exact name or website so that I can use exactly the one you use?@@plentifulprops3d
