It looks more modern than my Canon EOS 7 (Elan 7 in other markets) very clean lines and minimalistic arrangement of functions.
Definitely got the looks, but I found the buttons very fiddly
Thank you for helping me get to the continues exposure setting. I couldn't find it for the life of me. I have a bunch more cameras that I never tested. including the Nikon F50 which I plan to sell because I just found out it only takes lenses from the 90s onwards. It does take manual but its light metering wont work. So it has to go. I am quite happy with the EOS 600 though. I have 35-105 f4.5 lens for it and I am happy with how it handles.
You're welcome! If you have a 600 in good condition then that has all the functionality you need.
Nice
Thank you 😀
They’re far better built that the later models. 100, 5, etc, and can be picked up for £10 all day long.
I was really impressed with it. Prefer it to the 10
Thank you for the nice video! One question, in M how can I see the metering? Is there some visual indication of the metering?
You need to match the standard exposure index with the exposure level mark on the scale. This is page 99 of the manual. 😀
@@threeminutepro Indeed :-) But the problem is that I don't see this scale in the viewfinder, only f-stop and shutter speed, and a green dot... On my previous cameras this scale was always visible in the viewfinder... Is there any button you should press? or some setting to change? (I'm in manual mode)
How do you turn it on and off? Or does it stay 'always on' so to speak?
The button to the left rear of the camera allows you to turn it off
Hey, i hope you see this and hope you are okay. I never used and SLR analog camera before, I just used manuel analog camera (kodak kb10)but I also want to be able to use this kind of camera. Do you think it’s a hard camera to start with or should i give it a go?
I think you could do better. Did you see my video on the Canon EOS 300v? That might be better for you
I watched your video, Canon EOS 300v seems more easy to use. I will look at it thank you so much @@threeminutepro
I watched and EOS 300v seems more easy to use. Thank you. I hope I can learn to take great photos like yours @@threeminutepro
BUYER BEWARE - these cameras suffer from sticky shutters, black stuff appears as the camera ages and glues the shutter blades together. Can be sorted but beyond the real value / cost of the camera. Lovely camera I have kept mine as a display item....sad.
Mine seems to be fine, but your point is valid. The shutters on Canon cameras don’t age very well.
@@threeminutepro - I think it was the shutter rollers being made from black rubber / plastic - later cameras but not the 600 series avoided the issue. Shutter life ? - I'd have to give it to Nikon with their metal shutters these seem immortal. 😀
Battery is crap on these!
Expensive and a strange design. I’m not a fan.
