It was so awesome. That’s been early 2000’s to mid. Rickey sure is a beast on that guitar 🎸. Love em. Oh yeah, have you heard anything about Rickey having a new band ? I think I heard it was called “ The Rickey Medlock Band”. Not for sure on that but I see hear he had a band and they were gonna be touring. I hope so. Would love to go, be awesome 💚🦋
@@shan-2233 I haven't heard anything about a new band per se...the last time I heard anything from him was on Eddie Trunk's show with Johnny Van Zant talking about the tour with ZZ Top... I got to see Hughie at the New York State Fair only a few weeks before he passed. I was crushed because the Outlaws were my favorite band. I am so glad I got the Alien Outlaws tour shirt. At the Skynyrd show with Hughie and Rickey I was lucky to catch one of Gary Rossington's picks so that is definitely a prized possession. RIP Gary 😞😞😞
I saw Blackfoot open for AC DC on Sunday September 21st 1980 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne Indiana.... Though it's been 44 years ago,i can still remember standing there in the front row watching them playing, just like it was yesterday.... Just saw Ricky last summer with Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top and The Oitlaws were also there....
First time I saw Blackfoot, around 1978 or ‘79, they were opening for AC/DC… when I saw them again a year later, Rick Medlocke announced to the crowd that he’d just been informed that Bon Scott had passed away
Saw the Siogo tour in a small club in Harrisburg pa. Stood right in front of Ricky and watched him preform....what an incredible honor to watch a legend bring the house to its knees,I'll never forget it as long as I live.....I think Siogo was their finest album by far....
I saw that tour, Boston October 1981. I was a huge Def Leppard fan so we mainly went to see them, but I was also a moderate Blackfoot fan. Both bands tore the place up. Excellent show.
Met Rickey Medlocke at the Bass Pro Shop opening in Saint Augustine. Closest I have ever been to a real rock star. He was a really nice guy!! Rock on MAN.......
I saw these guys in Flint Michigan at a little league baseball park with Deep purple. What a cherished moment from my childhood. It turned that whole area in Flint into utter chaos! Thank you for this memory!
They were supporting act of the headliner Swiss Band "Krokus" and I was there and still one of the best performances of a band, I've ever witness in my entire life ❤❤❤ Good memories in heart. Mind and soul keeps things alive and sky rocking
I have loved Rickey Medlocke for many many years!!!! I just can't get enough of him!!! He is sooooooo handsome and sweet!!!! And cool would say he's cool!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Showed up late to the start of a Blackfoot gig in Marietta, GA in around 1984. We could hear them all of the way down the street when pulling up. Talk about load
I love this. I saw them when they played in the SFX Hall in Dublin on that tour. They were amazing. One of the best gigs I was ever at. Samson were the support band.
Just heard Rickey has a new band. Rickey Medlocke Band!!! When he's not touring with LS he will be out front with his new band!!!!! And I love it!!!!!!!
If Blackfoot existed today, they would be comparable to what a Van Halen/Pantera love child would have produced. Maximum volume, balls OUT in your FACE rock & roll at FULL throttle until the fuel is GONE...
The guys had several great songs and great albums. But in concert is where Ricky shines. Saw them in '76 at the Shrine Mosque in Springfield, Mo. Still have vivid memories of them but don't recall the Headliner. Black Oak Arkansas?

One of the most underrated rock bands of all time
Ricky is one of the most under-rated front men in rock. I have always loved his voice and his gun slinger guitar playing.
I totally agree!!!!
I couldn’t agree more!!!
Their "Indian pride" stance might not have helped…
Not underrated by me. I was lucky to but the very early. Pre Atco albums on vinyl. One day i will transfer them to CD.
Absolutely underrated here in America!
