- In this video I make a little trip to Hobby Lobby in search of fixing my headliner. It was old and needed to be updated a little. This is my first headliner so definitely learned some things for the next time I do this.
The interior of the civic is coming along nicely and next is to possibly paint the trunk with a trunk paint and work on the engine bay a little more in detail. Stay tuned!

Sick mate🔥
How has the spray painted pillar panels held up?
That came out so good !! Great ideas
Love this thank you 🙌🏼🤩
How long did the fabric need to be ?
Do those nrg seats sit lower then the stock seats?
What did you use to paint the plastic molding trim?
What kind/color paint did you use for your upper interior plastics? I'm going to be doing that in my teg pretty soon. Yours came out with a really nice oem finish
what paint did you use for the trim pieces
I used dupli color trim and bumper paint. it gave it a nice satin look instead of that too glossy look.
I'm did my headliner in Plad👍 just like I use to do in the 80's
what brand of adhesive is the spray you use on the fabric of your car?
it was just that 3m stuff from Autozone in their glue section.
Hey man, great video!! I might have to do something like that on my civic. I was curious how your NRG seats have held up? Any wear showing? what about the stitching ? Thinking I might get a set for the ek build. Thanks, and I've liked and subscribed.
they held up pretty decent with maybe a little wear on that left side of the seat where ya slide in, but nothing too crazy. They just had too much play in them. I would check out the Sparco Sprint seat if your looking for a budget seat. I’ve been looking those up lately and might have to get some.
So where you get your new headliner ? What material is i should be looking for at the store? What glue did you use to stick the liner?
Hi I’m trying to replace my headliner as well can you please tell me what glue you used the name of it and where you got it?
I picked up the glue at Autozone in the glue/grease section.
That's contact adhesive. Let both sides dry entirely, then bond :)
helps if I read the can fully 🤪
It doesn't matter what glue he used or the fact the glue was not allowed to get tacky. You can not put new material on old foam unless your planning on selling it before it all sags again. The old foam has to be removed first. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
well video is 2 years old now sooo 🤷♂️
@@oneSMALLgarage so the million dollar question is IS IT SAGGIN?🤔
Still going strong 💪
@@oneSMALLgarage What about now a year later lol ? i’m just about to do this and don’t want to replace the foam if I don’t have to.
I redid a headliner with that same foam that stuck to the board. I removed it with a drill and a drill brush, and then a small wire wheel on the same drill…. It took a week, but looked factory
Do you think with a sunroof it would be more difficult?
I would say a little more difficult compared to without one. I think if you went with a fabric over a vinyl, It might make it a lot easier for you though.
I did mine but deleted the sunroof
Whats the 1st beat called. Btw good job on the headliner
LAKEY INSPIRED - me 2
Thanks!
@@oneSMALLgarage the first beat my dude haha
that is the first beat in the beginning?? Or are you talking about like during the time lapse when I was taking the old one out? I'm confused haha 🤓
@@oneSMALLgarage its @ 8:49 the intro to another beat, Ive heard this beat b4 and cant find it haha
@@oneSMALLgarage my bad 1:49
do you live in modesto ca? i think you did a great job .
Next time give it a little time to get tacky
Probably should have scrapped away all the old foam first.
naaa that thing would have just turned to crumbs like a cookie then lol.
damn nice work.
Badass bro thinking about doing this to my coupe too, you made it look easy! Was it hard to remove it?
