- The MMDA impounded many e-trikes in Baclaran and the surrounding area - mostly for driving without license or registration.
Commuters are regularly complaining about being overcharged by these e-trikes.
Many franchised jeepney and tricycle drivers have complained that it's unfair competition, especially when they're forcefully blocked from some routes. - Розваги
It was difficult to see the daughter of the man who was beaten, standing next to Bong and crying.
Her dad retired from the military and has been serving the mmda for 13 years.
But I hope she found comfort in seeing Bong and his men swarm the area and leave with multiple tow trucks full of e-trikes.
Baclaran is a very dangerous place for enforcers. It's not a game. One day I'll share more about what has really happened in that place.
People sometimes complain that Bong is too strict and lacking in "consideration". But that's the only way you can have any kind of consistency.
I respect the fact that he never asks more from his men than what he's willing to do himself.
That's why the team will never be scared to stand by his side, wherever they go. Because they are a solid unit with a solid leader.

different stories showed on news media .they dont show what really happend on that day were enforcers are being beaten.
There's multiple videos on Facebook and UA-cam.
You can see them ambushing the tow truck and unloading the e-trike.
You can see them beating the old man (leader of that MMDA scog team) and stomping on another mmda.

I was so thankful that they decided to take actions on this Etrikes. They have been all over the places public roads and highways with no driver license no registration and yet they're still using it for public transport. I love you guys! Good job!
E-bike/E-Trike below 60km/h doesn't need a registration and driver's lincense. It's in our law. It is considered as Bicycles. However, If you use it as a public transportation, to ferry commuting passengers (Esp. with high fees) That is a big no!. I am an E-bike/E-trike user. We use it only for our daughter's service to school and when we are going the grocery store.
The problem is that allot of these e-bike owners know that and doesnt care about traffic and road laws. And the ones with licenses and registrations have to adjust to them??? They would be on the main roads and drive like they are site seeing. When an accident happens they want to act not accountable for them because they are just ebikes??? I know motorcycles and tricycles are bad, now these e-bike took the crown for being the worst on the road.

To ease the work of MMDA with this kind of places, MMDA should file a case on DILG against this baranggay officials who are neglecting their job. If proven that they have neglected their duty, they will be removed and fine for corruption. Because most probably they are receiving something from this vendors.

The first thing I remember after seeing Baclaran in the title of the video is you getting harassed by the vendors many years back and the one you mentioned where a Kagawad strangled an enforcer. Baclaran just seems to grow in the opposite direction, and with the Barangay and City focuses on their own personal interest then there is no hope for baclaran. Sir.Bong can clear this as many times as they can but it can never change with the Barangay and City is really the one who is behind and the root of the problem. If only the Government can give MMDA a bigger budget, then I guess they could at least put the MMDA in posts in places where problem seems to never cease down. Consistency is the only thing that can clean Baclaran, but MMDA doesn't have the resources for that for now, and the Barangay and City has no plans on cooperating when money is flowing through their pockets.

With this growing problem of not registered e-trikes and converting them into public transport, can the appropriate government body at least do something when it comes to selling this e-trikes (ie. Controlling supply, requiring registration before purchasing, etc)?

The E-tricycles should be required a Driver's License with OR/CR, and having a Driver's License is a Privilege, not Rights...

gaya ng mga buses, jeeps at taxis, dapat kailangan din ng franchise para mag-operate ang mga trikes nayan. At dapat limited lang para sa isang lugar ang i-allot na franchise para di lahat ng tabi ng kalsada ay may nakatambay na tricycle.

It's up to Barangay Chairman to oversee that sidewalks are free of structures so pedestrians can walk on them. Barangay Chairmans are either turning a blind eye or being paid illegally by people who built these structures.

I think the government should not allow sale of etrike to individuals without showing registrations and licenses first. Enforcing the sellers would make the MMDA’s job a lot easier.

Always be careful @Gadget Addict. I respect the fact that it takes some balls to accompany operations like this. Hope you are fully aware that these kinds of places are where either desperate people or complete delinquents are found. If you chance upon someone who's desperate AND a malicious delinquent, you are bound to receive violent reactions. Prioritize your safety, turn off the camera and run when you really need to.
I've joined them in Baclaran many times. I've encountered situations that I've never talked about. But one day I will.
So yes, unfortunately I'm well aware of the danger there.

The kind where we can see raw footage of the kind of behavior from people in these areas and in these kinds of situations. The mass media will always show how pitiful the state of these people are in, and while that is true, there is another side to it that the media seems to always leave out. I think you've already established yourself to Filipinos to be someone who does not have malicious intent, so even if you receive backlash for seemingly being "anti-filipino" if you put out the kind of content I am suggesting, you will still have a solid base to back you up. Which includes me. Whether you are for Duterte or BBM or against both, the good thing I see that came from them is that Filipinos are a little more open to seeing and criticizing themselves, especially online. Conservatives have always taken hold of the narrative here in this country, it is only right to balance it out with hard truths. The kind of truths Filipinos need to swallow and hopefully get some kind of reaction for change.

MMDA should know. there is still no registration for E-bikes. And they are apprehending people on eskenitas (Inner road/Baranggay road) and i saw one ebike user on this video showing his license but still they impounded his ebike coz there is no registration. Are you out of your mind MMDA enforcers? There is no.. Not yet, registration for ebikes and e trikes until now. And the law says it is still considered as bicyle due to its speed. So you don't have the right to impound those vehicles that is used for private purposes. Unless the LTO formalized it. You can apprehed those who use it as a public transpo.

Sa batas talaga ay, "KUNG SINONG NAG-ISYU siya ring kukumpiska" pwede lang kung na DEPUTIZED na pulis o traffic enforcer para huliin ang lisensiya.. Sa Manila o mga tangang lugar na may LOCAL LAWS ay pagnanakaw sa national laws.. Komo may sinabi ang batas na tanggap ng National law ang batas ng local ay, gumagawa rin sila ng batas nilang tulad sa LTO violation para dun nila ihanay at pwede rin silang manghuli.. Pero sa totoo lang noon ay nabuo mga traffic enforcer para manghuli sa actual na violation, hindi yung parahin ka para hanapan ka ng violation na parang LTO. SIla noon ay nanghuhuli lang sa no parking area, one way at no stopping area.. Noon ay wala silang karapatan para manghuli ng walang helmet, lisensiya walang or/cr, registration. Nakatuon lang sila sa kaayusan ng traffic o takbo ng traffic, hindi sa kakulangan ng motorista!.. Pag bypassed ng MMDA, Municipal/City Traffic enforcer ang ginagawa nila e, ninanakawan nila ang National ng kita, imbes na dalhin sa LTO nahuli nila ay sakanila nagbayad.. Sila pa ang nagpapacomply ng requirements for complete documents sa driver at sasakyan o motor na di sa kanila kinukuha, sa LTO naman!.. Magnanakaw ng karapatan mga LOCAL GOVERNMENT..
Manila was even worse but it was cleaned. What this place need is a leader with a strong will and dedication.

Dapat bago benentahan ng dealer ng e trike ang buyer ay tinitignan kung may drivers license at ung dealer ang mag pa rehistro sa umpisa. Ganyan kapag bumili ka ng motorcycle na di gas.

If it's for private use, You cannot apprehed these E bikes. Like i said on my previous comment. It is still considered as a bicycle because of it's speed. But i agree on the registration. Its also a protection for the owners of ebikes . However i do not agree on having a drivers license for this. Like i said i said it's top speed is slower than the law says. Unless it is used on highways. Of course i have a driver's license since i have a motorcycle and a car. but we bought our ebike as a personal school service for our daughter (less that a kilometer from to her school) and as a cargo for out groceries. (Our local supermarket is also less than a kilometer from our home. Instead of using a motorcycle or a car for a distance like that (RIsky for us three to use a motorcyle and difficulty finding a parking and consider the gas price now if we use our car (an SUV to be precise) E-bike is a more convenient and practical mode of transportation for us.
