Alexislcy Going completely vertical up was intense. you can see anything except sky. you cant see the track and have no idea when your going to reach the top, then all of a sudden your falling, nose first toward the ground. it was so crazy i didnt even notice the loop after lol
I rode this twice today! SUPER fun! That first hill going straight up was nerve racking, but that was because it was my first ride ever on it. The second time, I was able to sit back and relax on that lift. Going down the first hill makes you lean forward and come out of your seat so much! After a nervous trip up the hill, the rest is just pure adrenaline rush. AWESOME ride 10/10
Canobie is my home park. They do well with the very strict restrictions (had no idea about the sound restriction), I am a firm believer that they should pursue a launching coaster. You know, make up for what they lack in height with some speed
They have no tall coasters and never will...i believe their height limit is 80ft...so you'll never see a massive six flags like coaster at CLP...there are some new cool coasters around that canobie could build within the towns requirements...but sadly CLP would rather invest in yet another used carnival flat ride
I would never go on that. today I went there, and I went on the corkscrew. it was my first time (and my last!) going on a roller-coaster. I was very scared. when we got to the part where it drops, I just felt helpless. I was shaking, and it just made my stomach churn! worst part was when we went upside down and I was literally starting to slide out of the black thing that you put over your head. what made me scared the most though was when I was getting in the coaster with my guy friend, and he said there was no turning back. that ride was like a punishment from hell
Untamed is actually a much more comfortable ride than the Canobie Corkscrew--it's a lot smoother, thanks to modern engineering. Your head doesn't bang around as much.
Christine Randle that’s basically the point of roller coaster; it makes you uncomfortable, scared, and many times helpless. But it is definitely an acquired taste.
I went on this ride for the first time yesturday. I LOVED it! Hands Down the best ride in the park. I still perfer Busch Gardens in Virginia but, this park is only 40 mins. from me :) This ride has fueled my addiction for roller coasters again and I think I'm going to make several visits again this year to keep riding the roller coasters :) Until I go to Busch Gardens again next year!
This coaster is pretty small (and not unique; there are others with the same layout), but it immediately became one of my favorites. It's extremely smooth, the vertical lift is disconcerting, and I like the way the drop flows immediately into that lazy, hangtime-filled first loop. Also, the theming is great.
Untamed didn't replace a previous ride. They put it in an empty area that used to be used for picnics, next to the Starblaster and the Antique Cars. The defunct rocket simulator used to be right in front of where it is now. It doesn't have a very large footprint. It's a short ride and the lift isn't very tall (RCDB claims it's a few inches shorter than the Canobie Corkscrew), but it's a lot of fun and well worth riding.
havent been to canobie in a few years. When I heard about this ride, I wanted to try it. I havent yet, but by looking at this vid, this coaster seems short, and maybe small. But if this ride is new, then it must of replaced a previous ride, wonder which one
@Michael321990 Fahrenheit at Hershey is Intamin, not Gerstlauer. Just because it has a vertical lift doesn't mean it's Gertlauer. The Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios has a vertical lift and it's made by Maher Sohn. There are a few companies that make these types of coasters and they each have a different style of doing it.
Awesome ride for it's not so impressive size... Rode it 8 times yesterday. The last time I rode it was at night, and there were fireworks going off in the background. Legendary.
I went on this for the first time yesterday, the drop looks scarier than it is, the whole thing is very short and is over before you know it, so no need to worry! It’s very fun too, if you liked corkscrew and are ready for something a little bigger you’ll like this.
Yesterday I went on it for the first time and I was super scared. This was the first time I’ve ever gotta a bit dizzy from a roller coaster. It was super fun though, I can’t wait to go on again next summer.
even though i havent been on this ride but i have a been on this ride at another park, rage at adventure island, how many other eurofighters have the same track layout?
RCDB says there are now 5: Untamed, Rage, Falcon at Duinrell in the Netherlands, and one each in Dubai and Morocco. There's also a more recent model that is almost the same but just lacks the final helix at the end: two of those, in Oregon and New Jersey (the latter replaced the coaster that fell into the ocean during Hurricane Sandy). Some of these rides use a mirror-image version of the layout. And the Spongebob coaster at Mall of America is similar, but not quite the same.
Coasterforce, i noticed when i went to cabobie the other day that when i watched the loop after the train finished going through it, that it swayed and moved quite a bit, im not a person who doesn't trust coasters or is scared but i was wondering if that was supposted to happen for a reason or if i just sways,??
Alright so I just want to do a quick update. I rode it 2 days ago and guys, this is probably the biggest achievement I have ever made in my Rollercoaster history. 2 years ago I would have never of even dreamed of doing Corkscrew and now I can add this to my credit list. Sure this isn’t the biggest coaster in the world but it was to me. I can now do looping coasters and now whenever I travel to a theme park I’ll be excited to try any new coaster I see. Canobie has been my home park for almost 17 years and it’s helped me grow in getting over my fears and preparing me for bigger and better rides :)
Thats what my 2 daughters do every time we are there.. they hit it like 20 times from the single rider entrance ! lol. Went today and it was a perfect day no lines as it was early in the season up here..
Guys I have a problem. So I finally had the guts to ride Corkscrew, Cannonball, and Starblaster the last time I went to Canobie and my friends are planning another trip in a few months to Screamfest or whatever it’s called and I’m sure they’re going to want me to ride this. Is there anything I should worry about when riding this? Edit: just rode it last night and it was AWESOME!!!
The Lone Wolf not at all! I’ve been on all the other rides but not this one yet. I’m going on Thursday and I’m gonna ride this. It’s very smooth from what I’ve heard and I’ve been on coasters similar. So I’m kind of in the same position as you, but I’m gonna ride it Thursday and see how it goes.
Gabriela Cristina alright thank you. I’ve always been nervous about trying new rollercoasters but I’ll probably do the same as you, just ride it and see what happens.
It turned out to be really fun I rode it yesterday and it looks MUCH scarier than it actually is, even the drop is over before you know it! It’s really really fun
I rode this a couple weeks ago. I was wearing my flip flops and they almost fell off 😂😂 also this ride was the scariest I’ve been on but I loved it!! Btw the lines here are so short. This park is awesome!!
At 1:09 see the lift-hill straight up, and straight down. That's what a Gerstlauer Eurofighter is about. The problem is that each 'train' only carries 8 people. It is a low-capacity ride.
Wicked is a launched coaster. Untamed isn't; you go up a vertical chain lift. It's similar (but not identical) to the Spongebob coaster at the Mall of America, and there are rides identical to it in the UK and the Netherlands.
Matt McIrvin I'd say that this has more similarity towards the Fahrenheit. only this is taller, the Fahrenheit is steeper (steepest on the east side of america) and Fahrenheit is longer with something like 14 inversions.
I think the first drop on both of them is 97 degrees, so they're tied for "steepness" (the word seems odd when describing these beyond-vertical drops). Fahrenheit is actually considerably taller; Untamed is only 72 feet tall, but there's nothing much taller at Canobie so it doesn't seem so short.
@jetwhite Well, at least you were the only one who meant Rage. Everyone else is talking about Mystery Mine and Saw The Ride and stuff that looks nothing like this...
Well, I like it. I think the first loop on this ride is my favorite inversion on any roller coaster ever: it's more about hang time than G-forces, and the way the initial drop flows into it is nice.
Yeah, I think Skyrush might actually be a little beyond what I consider fun, or healthy for my 46-year-old body. Untamed is not like that. It's more like a smaller Fahrenheit (a coaster I like a lot, though it's got too low a capacity for a big place like Hersheypark and the lines can get very long).
Matt McIrvin true enough.. still, my moms, like I think 50 1/2 (no lie) and she rides the thing and laughs all the way. and yes, fahrenheit for the win. The untamed is the smoothest roller coaster I've heard. I was standing next to the airtime dip and all I heard was a sound similar to a bicycle going by.
Untamed _had_ to be quiet; Canobie Lake Park is surrounded by residential neighborhoods and they have to deal with zoning restrictions and noise complaints. Gerstlauer made them an incredibly smooth coaster; it not only sounds smooth, it rides smooth as well. I've heard some people complain about a little headbanging on the zero-G roll element, but I never experienced that (it might depend on how tall you are). Certainly nothing like the Canobie Corkscrew, which is a notorious headbanger.
I rode this last summer. I am so proud of myself because I am terrified of heights. Completely vertical. Was a lot of fun and will do it again
FirstGenGamer same I'm also scared of heights
Alexislcy Going completely vertical up was intense. you can see anything except sky. you cant see the track and have no idea when your going to reach the top, then all of a sudden your falling, nose first toward the ground. it was so crazy i didnt even notice the loop after lol
Same
Protronica good for you no one fucking cares
I did this the first ride my first time at Canobie TODAY :)
POV videos like this show me what i couldn't see on the ride
Ya my eyes were closed the whole time 😂
Julia Greene that ruins the experience, you gotta keep ur eyes open the whole ride😁
@@BulletAgario hell no I would've died
Same lol
Julia Greene not me my hand up and eyes open whole time 😂
I rode this twice today! SUPER fun! That first hill going straight up was nerve racking, but that was because it was my first ride ever on it. AWESOME ride 10/10
I did it 4 TIMES!!
Canobie is my home park. They do well with the very strict restrictions (had no idea about the sound restriction), I am a firm believer that they should pursue a launching coaster. You know, make up for what they lack in height with some speed
Branflakes1522 Like an LSM, then a 60 foot inversion just to touch that hight limit. Then like a full throttle sort of deal. That would awesome
they lack good rides too
Yes they have no tall coasters
That is why the goofy cover is over the hill of the Boston Tea party...so the neighbors won't complain they can hear the screams echo across the lake
They have no tall coasters and never will...i believe their height limit is 80ft...so you'll never see a massive six flags like coaster at CLP...there are some new cool coasters around that canobie could build within the towns requirements...but sadly CLP would rather invest in yet another used carnival flat ride
Untamed is my favorite out of the three roller coasters there, I rode it a bunch of times I can't even count.
Did anyone else hear the kid scream "I just jizzed myself" at 1:00 and 1:05?
lol Bella
Bella Kennedy I did
Bella Kennedy I think they said pissed
Lol
Yea xD
I rode this 4 times yesterday, 3 times in front row and 1 in the back row. One of my favorite coasters!!!
I would never go on that. today I went there, and I went on the corkscrew. it was my first time (and my last!) going on a roller-coaster. I was very scared. when we got to the part where it drops, I just felt helpless. Untamed is actually a much more comfortable ride than the Canobie Corkscrew--it's a lot smoother, thanks to modern engineering. Your head doesn't bang around as much.
you did not slide out of it oh my god
and it's called a shoulder bar. you should know if you think you can actually slide out of it lmao
lostcountofmyfandoms thought it was just called the Harness
Christine Randle that’s basically the point of roller coaster; it makes you uncomfortable, scared, and many times helpless. But it is definitely an acquired taste.
OMG!!! I've been on that coaster like 800 times!! I love canobie
1:01 I JUST JIZZED MY SELF
I went on this ride for the first time yesturday. I LOVED it! Hands Down the best ride in the park. I still perfer Busch Gardens in Virginia but, this park is only 40 mins. from me :)

This was my first roller coaster, yeeeeet I closed my eyes the entire time cuz it was raining, AND I couldn’t see without my glasses 😆
"woops, its broken. i guess we have to get off now." :) lol
havent been to canobie in a few years. When I heard about this ride, I wanted to try it. I havent yet, but by looking at this vid, this coaster seems short, and maybe small. But if this ride is new, then it must of replaced a previous ride, wonder which one
The thing that scared me on the UNTAMED, was not the drop, but how close your head was to being decapitated by one of the poles
i love the untamed for three reasons 1. Shortish line 2. The way up doesn't take long 3. REALLY FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just went on this 3 times continuously today for my first time ever. It was awesome!!!
I went last year to visit family and im going again this year. Will you be doing a video of their new ride thats going be coming out?
Went on this ride two times and sat in the two different rows of seating, must say both completely terrifying and amazing
Im going tommorow at 9:30 in the mornin i wanted to see how fun it looked and this helped alot thank you
Im going to Canobie today! And last time i went i went on untamed 4 times! FUN!! :)
I'm going tomorrow and this is definitely the first thing I'm doing!!!! How us the drop going down? It seems awesome!!
@Michael321990 Fahrenheit at Hershey is Intamin, not Gerstlauer. Just because it has a vertical lift doesn't mean it's Gertlauer. This ride was so much fun my face at the top was priceless when I first went on it😂
Awesome ride for it's not so impressive size... Rode it 8 times yesterday. The last time I rode it was at night, and there were fireworks going off in the background. Legendary.

i went on this this afternoon and loved it. i screamed so loud i lost my voice for bout half hr...lol
i love the untamed so much! cant wait to go to canobie with the band and chorus kids from my school
Do you go to school in Townsend?
nah its in dover
one year later and i hate roller coasters lmao
ava aged well
zhangaloser wow uh. I was 12 when I wrote that comment I was so innocent
Was the camera mounted? Because this video is really smooth. Great vid.
Yesterday I went on it for the first time and I was super scared. This was the first time I’ve ever gotta a bit dizzy from a roller coaster. It was super fun though, I can’t wait to go on again next summer.
going there tomorrow coasterforce, never been on a coaster ever! any advice to suck it up and go on it? thanks!
Best ride EVER

I went on this last Friday, and I've never screamed more in my life.
I'm going to canobie tomorrow is this ride scary?
YESS, Scariest ride there
i am forced to go on tomorrow
+Stinky Cheese Stories I went on that ride and it wasn't scary
+Elizabeth Graham it's actually really fun
It's scarier to look at than to ride.
I can't wait to get on this on Saturday! Where is my New Hampshire squad?
im here from Salem NH
man this park has come so far i was only 5 when this video was made i also just went to it and comparing it to this video is just cfazy
You should've seen the Space Shuttle simulator they had in the 90's, it was epic until they turned it into a statue
Coasterforce, i noticed when i went to cabobie the other day that when i watched the loop after the train finished going through it, that it swayed and moved quite a bit, im not a person who doesn't trust coasters or is scared but i was wondering if that was supposted to happen for a reason or if i just sways,??
I went on it yesterday! It was awesome!
There needs to be more of these in the US!
Alright so I just want to do a quick update. Love this ride. Went on it a ton when I went there.
Do you by any chance know the height and sound restrictions Canobie must follow? I'm making a ride in No Limits that I designed for the park.
so was that "girls just wanna have fun" playing in the station at the end or am I tripping right now?
I went on this 15 times on thursday
Thats what my 2 daughters do every time we are there.. they hit it like 20 times from the single rider entrance ! lol. Went today and it was a perfect day no lines as it was early in the season up here..

Gabriela Cristina well I’m going this weekend so it’s finally time, wish me luck, hopefully I won’t die lol
Gabriela Cristina well I just went on it last night and it was awesome! Thanks for the motivation to ride it!
Is it a beyond vertical drop, like Saw the Ride at Thorpe Park??
It sucks that its that short. It looks fun but I wish it was longer.
1:01 “I JUST SHIT MYSELF” lmao
OMG!! i think im gonna throw up just watching this! but only because it looks like fun!
I so wanna ride this!!!
Anna Schmange I Was On It So Fun :D
Is it scary?
its not scary ☺ its so fun , god i havent been to canobie lake in years . its so cool to say ive been on this ride
It looks scary to me!
i love this ride i go to canobie all the time ive must hav rode it more than 20 times
I have a semi stupid question...Is it scary? What other ride there would you compare it to?
i went on this ride 4 times already its awesome
I rode this a couple weeks ago. I was wearing my flip flops and they almost fell off 😂😂 also this ride was the scariest I’ve been on but I loved it!! Btw the lines here are so short. This park is awesome!!
I went on this twice, it's incredible!!
@BLAHGUY126 Actually it's a very small version of all those rides.

Single rider line = Best discovery ever
Instead of waiting an hour, i waited 10 minutes, and got in the front row :D
Going to canobie tomorrow!
it looks like the farenheit at hershey park, PA
I loooove this ride so much! It isn't as scary as it looks. I went on 8 times (-:
i loved that ride and i dont live that far away from cannobie lake
how does he hold on to the camera?
That rollercoaster awesome
Been on every ride there it's so fun (even went on the baby ones)
Nathan Jackson same xD
It is. They're both compact coasters
I went to canobie yesterday I had tons of fun
@TH3BEAST512 they all have a 90 degree lift and a more than vertical drop
Yes going in 6 days can't wait!!!!!
Matt McIrvin I'd say that this has more similarity towards the Fahrenheit. only this is taller, the Fahrenheit is steeper (steepest on the east side of america) and Fahrenheit is longer with something like 14 inversions.

Matt McIrvin true. good points.
Omg that drop your stomach dose not hurt but oh man do you feel like you fall out
I rode this recently, it has not aged well for me, it was much rougher and there was a lot of headbanging. It was a lot of fun on my first ride.
Same
@wwwCOASTERFORCEcom oh. thanks i found it. how is this compared to the other coasters at canobie?
I can’t wait to go on it tomorow
Wait sound restrictions????
best ride ever!! went on it 5 times
I'm going to try this today!!
@wwwCOASTERFORCEcom cool, does eastcoastergeneral film the most povs in all of coasterforce?
are euro-fighters rough rides?
OMFG, that was me screaming!
@jetwhite Well, at least you were the only one who meant Rage. Everyone else is talking about Mystery Mine and Saw The Ride and stuff that looks nothing like this...
How come eurofighters have weird brushes on the lift hill?
Trying to decide whether to ride the Untamed or not
Didnt do it. Went on yankee cannonball and felt like i was gonna die. Good thing never went on...
What rides smoother? intamin or B&M
this is my favorite ride at canobie
Wildwaves theme park needs a ride like this!
This Is a amazing ride
u have to have some guts to go on this ride. i was to scared to go on.
I love this ride I went on it so much
I WENT ON THIS IT WAS SO FUN!!
looks exactly like saw ride at thorpe park!
what does eurofighter mean?
looks exactly like it :} especially on the pov
first riders club gave me a free ticket and a t-shirt for going on the ride yesterday!
Looks like it's similar to Rockin' Roller Coaster at WDW..except not in the dark.
Wait did I hear the exact same thing I said when going on this ride In my own voice?
Ok so I am going to canobie soon with my bff and I can not deicide if I want to go on or not. What should I do. Go on or not?
Well, I like it. I think the first loop on this ride is my favorite inversion on any roller coaster ever: it's more about hang time than G-forces, and the way the initial drop flows into it is nice.
#skyrush 5 G's first drop, then a bunch of airtime's up to -5 G's
Yeah, I think Skyrush might actually be a little beyond what I consider fun, or healthy for my 46-year-old body.
Untamed is not like that. It's more like a smaller Fahrenheit (a coaster I like a lot, though it's got too low a capacity for a big place like Hersheypark and the lines can get very long).
Matt McIrvin true enough..
