New F150 License Plate light upgrade… they said it wouldn’t work…. It’s 🔥

In this video, I will be upgrading my ugly, yellow. 1979 license plate lights. It’s a cheap upgrade that makes a visual difference. It’s definitely “cleaner”now. I installed two versions. An expensive version Morimoto and a cheaper, generic version. Below is what I ordered from

When the truck gets a couple years old, it is very hard to get the peanut bulbs out of the socket.

Looks like with Morimoto you are just paying for the name.
I would have at least expected them to be sealed in the back, guess not.
The cable difference is just a sleeve. Not worth 15 extra dollars, maybe a few cents.

Installed the generic ones on my 21 f150 very bright. Does it give your reverse cam a glare ? my reverse cam at night is very dark and can’t hardly see anything unless I cover the license plate lights

There is a glare from the bright LEDs but I can still see behind me. I have thought about possibly tinting them to reduce the glare.
