It's a lot easier with the awning extended & closer to the ground. Granted you have more turns to unwind, approx. 14, but it's easier to work with your feet safely on the ground. Also, not too many people have a forklift handy to hold the roller tube. A friend to hold it while you disassemble & reassemble works better.
