- And just like that, it's yet another travel day for me, this time I am flying from Bristol Airport to the Isle of Man on an Easyjet flight. Or am I? As I board my second train at Cardiff Central Rail Station, things start to go wrong, one by one and it's looking very like I might actually miss my flight!!

Imogen, at 16:37 to the left (South) is the Calf of Man with Kitterland between it and the mainland. You were at the tip of the mainland - where you noticed the Thousla Cross and choppy sea currents, as noted by you in the next video
At 17:15 is a black limestone/marble quarry (Pooil CVaaish). The original steps of St Paul's Cathedral used this material. We used it on our family home and it is interestingly very non-slip in when wet.
At 17:21 you briefly get a glimpse of the rather well preserved limestone castle in Castletown. You caught this on your next video. We would have driven right past but there was the inevitable roadworks diversions. However, that allowed us to ravel through some narrow streets, which I suppose in itself gave a flavour of Castletown aside from its magnificent castle.
At 17:32 the castley thing is King William's College. I just thought I'd say that as it is distinct from the caste itself, which is in the middle of the town as my previous post.

Omg 😆 I love how you always have food of some sort. Your ideal to be a travel companion, stuff I never think of then get ripped off at some “pumpkin cafe” at a train station. 😢.

That purple umbrella was just useless in the wind. I bought a heavy-duty umbrella because the flimsy ones all did that. But for travel, you sure don't want too much weight. Would a thin raincoat be handy? Glad you did get there at long last.
I always make sure my daughters college bag is full of squirreld away snacks 😉 I have the same fear, she might be in lesson, starving !! ❤️

LOL. You are like my father in-law, he likes to be at the airport many hours before the flight. I like to be there 30 minutes :P And I have never missed a flight in my life.
Imo!! Urgent message from my daughter...she worked last summer in hotels as a chamber maid...she told me...ALWAYS wash out the cups that are left to be used for tea and coffee making...apparently, chamber maids are given a VERY limited amount of time to clean rooms...this means that as the cleaners rush from job to job,,,the cloth that is used to clean the bathroom... well...it gets used to clean the rest of the room...including the cups...eew...but true!!!

Annnnnnndddddd then after all that, the plane is delayed! We had that at Heathrow, desperately getting there, suffering our way through security, only to find the plane was delayed! Travelling definitely comes with some stress attached!
You should try flying from Cardiff to avoid queues and the airport was much nicer when I went to Qatar, and similar when I went to Palma from Cardiff

Sounds like a very stressful travel day imo!! I'd be very anxious too i hate cutting it fine heading to the airport and yet my friend hates hanging about at the airport so we always have to compromise 🤣 Glad you arrived safely!
When I took the train from London to Liverpool a few years ago my train was held up by a truck hitting a bridge up ahead, I guess trucks hitting bridges is a common thing there

Thanks for sharing. Being late to the airport can be so stressful. May I make a suggestion? How about having a several seconds outro like other channels? That way I have time to actually reach the 'Like' button when you ask me ;)
Thanks James. I keep my outros short, as people tend to click off as soon as they twig the video's ending and it negatively impacts retention, which reduces the amount of times the video is put in front of viewers to watch (it's an algorithm thing). But the like button can be clicked at any time throughout the video, and it sounds to me as if you have autoplay enabled. I have mine disabled. I don't know if you're watching on a laptop or a phone? If it's on a laptop, the autoplay function button is in the play bar next to the closed captions icon. If it's showing a triangle, it's activated, but you can click on it to switch it off and then in shows the pause symbol. I have mine deactivated all the time as I like to comment on videos and don't want it to autoplay the next lined up video while I'm trying to do this! :)
@@PlanetImo Ah sounds like you are way on top of this already. As you were interested I do indeed use Autoplay. I also watch primarily on TV which is even more difficult to locate the Like button with the remote! :D But I guess TV viewers are a minority overall? Keep up the good work, loved your series on Kos!

Just listening to you is giving me anxiety. I am horrible for travel, and need to be ahead by 2 hours to go anywhere. The anxiety gets my IBS into full motion, and then it's 💩💩'ing time for me, so it's a scramble to find toilets. Yeah.. I'm not the ideal travel partner.. 🤣
