So glad I found this channel! Visited family in NYC and it's got my fiancé and me craving city living. We live in Rochester, NY now and it's decent but nothing like a truly big city. We are trying to choose between NYC and Chicago, and Chicago makes way more sense. Way more bang for your buck and more climate change ready.
Absolutely, and great point about climate change. If the worst thing happen on our planet, at least we're near the largest freshwater source in the world
I am! We're going through a structural change over here, and it's been a little insane. Shoot me an email at andy@andysellschicago.com - Happy to help in anyway that I can.
I love the West Loop. I lived there for four years; but if the neighborhood truly wishes to be the culinary calling card for a global city, it really needs to diversify the offerings. The neighborhood is saturated with Mexican food, Italian food and pizzas and hamburgers. After all of the development that’s taken place in the neighborhood it’s disappointing that there are no: Ethiopian restaurants, Polish restaurants, Jewish restaurants, Vietnamese restaurants, Soul Food restaurants, Puerto Rican restaurants, or Cuban restaurants. Yes, I know that you can find those in other neighborhoods, but many tourists and business travelers coming to the West Loop will never make it to those neighborhoods. If this neighborhood truly aspires to be the food Mecca of the Midwest and the rest of the country, more burgers, pizzas, tacos, and fettuccine Alfredo is not the route.
