    I actually found a way to make multitrack Stems from Logic Pro that work with the CQ18T.
    You need to make sure to bounce in Mono. That's where it went wrong for me.
    1. Select the tracks you want to bounce
    2. Open Mixer, set Stereo Out to MONO and on the bottom of that same channel click the button 'bnc'
    3. Settings: WAV - 24-bit - 48khz
    4. Make a new folder (AHCQ/USBMTK/******)
    ** Note: the folder can have any name but a maximum of 6 letters
    5. The name of each stem needs to be the channel number on the CQ and the name of the channel (eg: 16Click.wav)
    Hope that helps!

    Thank you for your helpful video, on SD card recording mode when you had armed all the tracks, do you had used class 10 sd card ?

    • @crosslylucas
      @crosslylucas  Місяць тому +1

      Yes, I used a class 10 UHS I card. This is the SD card: SanDisk 32GB Extreme SDHC card, up to 100 MB/s UHS-I Class 10, U3, V30

    thanks for the tutorial! I run into some issues while recording though.
    I tried recording a few vocals and guitar on an SD Card. The recording sounds good when I play it back on the mixer. But once I load it up in Logic the tracks are super quiet in volume and without FX (I've set the recording to Post AMM). Any idea how to fix this?

      Hmm.. not sure... Have you tried recording at a different source point? Like 'Post Compressor' or 'Post EQ'?

      @@crosslylucas I found the problem xD I am quite new in the mixing department and had to record the fx on separate tracks..

    Have you found any solution to export the tracks on Logic? Is my only DAW right now

    • @crosslylucas
      @crosslylucas  25 днів тому

      Not yet, I'm using reaper which is a free DAW to export tracks to the digital mixer

    I have one more question, if you used it to record into daw with usb-b, to hear what you had recorded you cannot set only channels like 19,20 as usb and all the channels to be routed there and for mixing to use the mixer inside the daw ?

    • @crosslylucas
      @crosslylucas  29 днів тому

      Hi, by default, Inputs 1&2 on the mixer are for the Stereo outs of your DAW. This means that by default, your Left and Right mix from your DAW will go to Inputs 1 & 2 of the digital mixer. If your DAW allows it you can set different outputs to individual inputs on the mixer. For example: Track 1 from your DAW can be sent to input 12 on the mixer.

    Is it possible to use this mixer as a standalone DAW? I recorded a track on my 18t, and can play them back fine. When I arm it to record on another track, I cannot hear the previously recorded track.

    • @crosslylucas
      @crosslylucas  Місяць тому

      Unfortunately no, the mixer cannot be used as a DAW. It cannot record and playback multi-tracks at the same time...

      @@crosslylucasI know that is not the purpose of this device. But oh what a missed opportunity! Imagine how that would have exploded the target market!

    Is it possible to record stereo to a mobile device for videos or live streams?

    • @crosslylucas
      @crosslylucas  19 днів тому

      It's possible to live stream with the mixer, I did one a while back, it was mono. I don't think it's possible to Multitrack on a mobile device but stereo should be possible.

      Hi, I've covered how to do this at 03:42. it's very confusing to input the tracks into the mixer but it's definitely possible.

    Hello dear. I am about to buy one for my band, for our live performances. If i want to playback multitrack (around 8 stereo files) without using DAW, is it doable with this mixer? like i put them on an sd card or a usb card, and can i play multitrack? assign each track to faders and mix live on the fly? for example if u have 1-kick 2- rest of drums 3- bass 4- keys 5- vocals etc.... all prerecorded and on the top i want to add live instruments, and i want to mix the prerecorded tracks, for example the kick in track 1 is low, i wana use a fader to raise it, the vocal on track is is high, i wanna decrease its volume etc..... are such sorts of routings doable?

    • @crosslylucas
      @crosslylucas  Місяць тому

      This is possible through this mixer using the SD card. I cover this at 3:43 sec. It's not the most convenient way of doing it, but it's possible.
      Once the tracks are on the SD card, you can mix them however you like with the live instruments. Hope that helps...

      @@crosslylucas why you think its not convenient?

      @@karnobmusic because the metadata (file format) has to be extremely specific... It's not impossible to do, it just takes a while.
