The easiest way to match the working width is to set the working width to 9.9m and then do the even lanes with one tanker and the uneven lanes with the other tanker
Hi phil I have a 100 horsepower tractor and i am wondering what size slurry tanker i could put on it i was thinking of a 1600 gallon abbey tank and dont know whether to get a recessed tank or not thanks for reading and I hope you have a good year contracting
@@kieranj9484 I have a 1600 gallon tanker with non recessed BN3 wheels. Used to have a mf399 (100hp) would handle it fine until I hit a steep bit. Larger wheels may have been easier to pull?
Iam a dairy farmer, do all our farms slurry, with a 110 hp fiat tractor, bought a new 1600 N.C recessed tanker, on the bigger wheels, & 7 1/2 meter dribble bar, it’s very easy pulled, no problems at all , 11700 kgs tank with load, great on soft ground..
Did you consider a trailing shoe ? We have a trailing shoe and I think they are a way better job because they get the slurry right down to the roots of the grass instead on leaving it in a wide strip on top of the grass
Well done to environmental brigade for creating a market for dribble bar and did anyone ever do emissions that is produced by making dribble bar. Best luck with purchase Phil

Depends on whether your land is flat?
@@phil6465 the land is mostly flat with some slight hills

Hey Phil, just after getting a 7.8m Slurryquip dribble bar fitted to a tank, what height off the ground do you cut the dropper pipes for best results
I think I cut 2inchs off my pipes the last time but its all about the height it operates at. I like to have mine just about touching the ground
@@FARMERPHIL3690 thanks, I’ll cut them with a full load on as the tanker will be sitting lower
Enjoyed the video ,out of interest Phil out of the two different makes dribble bars was any of the macerator harder driven than the other make ?
I wouldn’t of said so both seem the same
@@FARMERPHIL3690 cheers for that 👍
Hi Phil. Nice dribble bar! Why did you go for the switch instead of the control box on the other tanker?
Farmer Phil fans big one

Not really to be honest
That's a mitey big slurry tank faner phil martin flaherty .
Fair play to u Phil, tidy dribble bar

It’s an inbetween of handy and small money😂
Shure , everything is relative .. 😁
What type of maserator is on the slurryquip
It’s their own make
Is that the slurry tank you bought yourself only a few years ago?
5 years ago this spring
@@FARMERPHIL3690 time goes fast, I remember it was the first video of yours I watched
Well
👍
Nice a decent bit of kit! The diet feeder looks like it needs some TLC or is it in for an upgrade as well?
Just needs a wash. Is working away the finest but could do with a bigger one
You have got no brake away on that Dribble bar
We actually do it’s on the side of the drawbar
what am I watching!?
Poor 64 in the background😢
Had a fair idea this was todays video since Johnstons had plenty of pics up today😲🫣
