  • Nage-no-Kata , also called “Randori-no-Kata ”, was created to help Judo
students understand the principles and master the basic techniques of Nagewaza used in Randori . It is made up of three representative techniques selected from Te-waza , Koshi-waza , Ashi-waza , Ma-sutemi-waza and Yokosutemi-waza to practice for both left and right sides in each technique. Basis
of throwing techniques is acquired by practice of Kuzushi, Tsukuri, Kake and how to receive the technique on each technique.

If your Kata was indeed so. You and your partner should consider competing in that Kata. Imagine winning worlds. A perfect score can get you there. It's a kin to 300 in bowling.

Yes, Thank you so much Kodokan! These things are really appreciated. They mean a lot. I do not watch them all as this is only a phone. But, if I get a TV, I hope to be able to project these on a screen easier to see.

If I recall the Nage no Kata correctly, at 6:06, uke is turning the wrong direction after rising from tomoe nage and leading into ura nage, and again at 6:23 after ura nage leading into sumi gaeshi. I'm pretty sure uke should turn to his right, toward the hand that performed the ukemi, after standing up.
