I thought I was going crazy because of this! Zombies right next to me were oblivious to all sound but the next two cells over would come in droves whenever I swung a crowbar
@@Heisenberg929 Just set your Sandbox Setting for Zombie Lore, to Deaf Zombies (or whatever it's called). You will probably still be drawing in Zombozos from further away than you'd normally expect. But nowhere near the "Normal" setting.
Note, you can actually find backpacks in the front of the military surplus store too, not just the back room. There's a tonne of shelves to slowly check, but I almost always find at least a hiking bag, if not something larger. 🙂
I wanted to check the front as well but was worried about getting caught out by zombies when I was so overloaded. I'll probably go back there sooner or later
Love your content Archer! I’ve been watching for a while. I’ve loved your One Painful Year series particularly. Do you think you’ll do a long term run to explore all the new crafting and building mechanics?
Since you didn't change zombie settings, I think you're pulling tons of zombies off the "eagle eye" alone. Conspicuous isn't helping but I feel like the default apocalypse difficulty sight/sound detection is insane. I'm playing these exact settings and I'm having a heck of a time staying incognito, and I don't even have Conspicuous.
Yup, the combo of Eagle eyed Zomboids + Slow walkers is absolutely broken. No matter how big a crowd you pull, there's literally ALWAYS a few hanging around nearby that slowly shamble from 1/4 miles away. At times feels a little unfair, such as giving a crowd the slip and still being discovered in a safe house despite making no noise.
@@darthrex6267 There's a video I watched from Retanaru and he explains the sound radius for combat also got larger which would explain the constant trickle of zombies on top of everything else.
The distillery building could be the greatest base you could find. I'd base there on B41. It's just an awesome place. Big, sure. But with the amount of new crafting station and possibilities B42 brings, you could experience all of it in one perfect place.
It’s insane how well the rotting corpses can see and hear in this game, also how many of them are in random shops in the middle of nowhere like the shooting range in echo creek 😂.
Yeah I think there should be a threshold of a lot of zombies for fence gates like that to even take damage. One zombie would fall apart before busting through a wire fence.
Man what a great update. Not a fan of the new moodle look, and kees are far too heavy, but otherwise pretty great. So far, driving at night with busted lights, and the sounds of hitting a bunch of things I jump out expecting to have driven into a horde, instead, I ran over a gaggle of rats as they apparently migrate in large hordes. The worst moments been finding the ""Police Station"" in muldraugh, thinking "Oh this is an awesome base with great loot. Then seeing the disco color floor and neon lights. Pure disappointment.
Oh also if anyone knows of a good way to dispose of corpses, is fire best? Because it takes ages to move a dozen and I cant throw them in dumpsters or graves. At least not in the Hunting Lodge area at least.
did you change the zombie hearing and seeing and memory from random default? cuz ive got the inconspicuos trait and the less noise trait on top of going burglar and bro the zombies pour in from the sound from over like 60 feet almost debating on goin and changing it its pretty difficult especially since i play high zombie pop
I’ve had some of the updated mods crash the crafting systems a few times so I’d be very wary about mods until the unstable branch is fully updated to full launch. Can’t tell you how frustrating it is to collect all the tools for a massive project and the find every crafting menu glitched out ;-;
Watching TV only gives you skill ups to level 3 after that you're on your own. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the new crafting options and tools, do I pick up everything or is some of it just junk?
Trying to make the videos cover more ground per episode. I did 4 days of playtime (about 2 hours of real time) in this video. Also part of it is that what works these days of UA-cam is more of the edited stuff, less of a market for unedited stream of consciousness videos than there used to be.
@@cromulentarcher so it's going to be that way with your videos from now on? i've seen people upload long videos of unedited gameplay and i loved them. i was really looking forward to watching you play B42 and edited, it's not as enjoyable. especially when you fast forwarded attacking zombies, that looked so awkward.
22:35 The canteen bug is caused by the equipment ui mod(the one which shows durability), it can't render the "durability" of the canteen
There's a serious issue with melee sounds pulling zombies from 100m away

Four zombies should not be able to break through that chain fence, let alone breaking through as quick as they did. That was ridiculous.

if you want to make a legit anvil, build a handpress.
So, just turning zombie spawns off means you don't have to mess with any of the other settings like build 41? Setting things to 0 and such.
