I don't understand how it is that SWAT members, watch out, SWAT MEMBERS are ARMED WITH PISTOLS, and the only ones who are armed with assault rifles SHOOT SLOWER than turtles walking.
Fully armed, prepared, knew to shot first ask questions later, had good torches, didn't account for a aim worse than a drunk storm trooper and terrible crisis management skills.
I love this type of stuff in the early days of a zombie apocalypse. It would be cool to see a firefighter team responding to a building on fire and infested with zombies
The final scene where the police said it was too quiet. It doesn't make much sense to me. Because not long ago there had been a shooting. Makes me feel strange But it is beautiful and interesting animation. And the atmosphere creates a feeling of tension.
Maybe the basement was soundproof in a way? I mean with the cams and even that much food stockpiled I ain't surprised by that possibility even with the size of that basement
My take on it. Is that officer might have just arrived. Swat went in first. And because they didn't report in. The officer at the end was sent out. Probably overwhelmed with everything going on
In terms of animation quality, this is really good! The ambience is fittingly eerie, sound design is super, and the lighting is pretty well done! The beginning of the downfall of Louisville only being heard through the radio was quite interesting. One can hope we'll maybe see the perspectives of those radio messages play out in future videos. Well done with that, gave me chills hearing about everything going on. Hearing rather than seeing really puts the imagination to work. Their lack of zombie knowledge makes sense in their downfall, so well done with making their fate believable. The usage of a turned officer's bodycam at the end is quite interesting and could make for plenty of future ideas. Maybe somebody at the police station seeing all the infected bodycam feeds coming towards their location after an explosion or sound at the station. The voice actors were good, though there was a bit of monotone at some parts where there should've been more emotion. The 0 aiming skill was pretty hilarious considering we've all likely experienced aiming that horrid. There are a few things I think could've been done differently. - The constant flagging each other with their firearms was a bit off-putting given they're supposed to be trained law enforcement, SWAT as a matter of fact. I was bracing myself for the moment one of them accidentally shoots another. - Their personal communication was wonderful to listen to, hearing them theorize, become nervous, and discover. However, there was a lack of professional communication for cleared rooms and such which would be vital in a standard room clearing situation. Just a simple "Clear" at the very least upon poking their head into a room for a second would help. - In relation to the communication, upon finding the leg, they should've referred to that with a code. Same with the bodies. I'd recommend the Kentucky State Police codes for any future videos involving law enforcement. wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/KY_State_Police_(KY) - When they were being attacked, they could've had more emotion in their reactions. It sounded a bit too hushed. For example, "Fall back, fall back now." should've had a bit more urgency and volume to it. When the final guy was being attacked, there could've been a bit more of an urgent struggle against the zombie. For having their flesh torn into, they're surprisingly chill about it. The patrol officer at the end sounded more like he was talking to his buddy rather than the now-infected SWAT. If I'm mistaken though, and he was meant to be talking to his other officer, he should've been looking at him or addressed him by name. - This one is just personal, but there could've been a tv remote that they find in the basement among the corpses to show why the tv randomly turned on, and to give an eerie indication of what's about to happen to the SWAT team given that a dead corpse wouldn't be able to bump the remote. The tv just felt a bit too unexplained and random. - Another personal one is that bodycam should've probably been renamed to helmet cam given the amount of movement that seemed very head-like. Overall, it's all very well done, and I greatly enjoyed watching it! The suspense was quite well-made, I was expecting a zombie to come out at any point. It felt like an early Evan Royalty video. Subscribed, and looking forward to any future works.
This is fantastic! I really loved how smooth the animation was; the suspense, the creepiness, the fact that the soldiers all had 0 aiming. Keep up the great work!
Amazing work! I appreciate the effort you must have put into making this animations and voice lines. I can only imagine the amount of time you spend making all of this. Definitely waiting for more!
This is actually so amazing dude that you earned another follower, I would like to see many other projects that you make so continue the path you're going, really good video too🔥💪
A video on what the "player" is doing those days from the onset right up until their neighborhood being full of zombies and we take control would be a good vid.
Cool Part is depending on where they are in Louisville, Jefferson County Police would have assisted them. I get giddy about PZ since i live in louisville
The video was fantastic, and I’ve always been fascinated by the beginning of the end The only thing that bothered me was the professionalism from whats supposed to be train swat officers. They barely cleared some of the rooms, and had absolutely horrid aim at point blank range (though tbf, so do you if you play zomboid lol) Of course, I don’t expect every content creator to be a master when it comes to military or police tactics, nor does it make this video bad by any means. Its just some small nitpicking on my end lol
@stillhere4165 Hmm, I don't have experience with corpse disposal but at least personnel experience, a combined particle and activated charcoal filter gets most if not everything, including moisture in the air.
Being a bit 🤓 here. This occurs when the military just stablish The blockade/ Exclusion zone. The military at the time the video is seen is blocking the roads to nearby towns (West point, Muldraugh)
I don't like that the SWAT has gear from around twenty years after 1994, same that one singular military zombie. Pretty much my only nitpicks other than the environment not fitting for PZ characters, plus they have HORRIBLE AIM. Edit: The horrible aim is probably a plot device... oh well.
Yo, too good video but really the SWAT,prepared personnal for SPECIALS missions and used as a better force than the Average police cant hit a zed with a gun?
A good start to a potentially awesome PZ series; however, try to get more into the headspace of the characters you're animating. As many here have pointed out, a trained SWAT team wouldn't constantly flag their own members while sauntering through a house they're trying to clear (nor would they just stand in one spot while they get eaten alive). It took me out of my immersion and was an unsatisfying conclusion to an otherwise tense story. You've got a lot to learn, but you're definitely going places!
Hey man this animation is absolutely fire!!! Im sure you must've worked a lot on It, but just lemme give you an advice, I think the story is a bit unrealistc on the final part, It just doesn't make sense that the police try to contain the zeds on the basement instead of running, also the screams at the end sound a little bit weird. Anyways keep doing like this man this video is very cool❤❤
Those swat team are worse than my character 😂. I thought its gonna be a swarm no way they died from four shambler Good animations though i like the early days of zomboid
Most unrealistic part is them trying to stand their ground in the basement instead of booking it immediately.
that made the whole video go from immersive and cool to silly for me just watching these guys stand here and let it happen lol
Yeah I was going to mention that. If you were surrounded by crazy people eating your colleges I would’ve ran for the stairs.

flagging eachother with loaded weapons, very well trained

Dumbest team. U go in a room full of corpses in a zombie apocalypse but seems surprise to see them waking up xD
Well it was before the virus started turning people into zombies and it was being treated like a normal virus
they dident know about the outbreak yet, hence why they say. "its just a fever?" context clues bro
Meanwhile, my burger flipper character in the game managed to wipe out a small town with some axes and crowbars.
