That the moment of silence at the start was for Chester from Linkin Park as came out around the same time frame and they were supposed to tour with them before Chester passed away. Due to Chester was one of the big influences of Taka's. With Chester being one of the two inspirations of his that lead him to go from pop to rock music. Other being Kellin from sleeping with sirens. Taka's talent is just nuts, along with is brother too (singer of My First Story) are just crazy talented. But then they are kids of two famous Japanese singers afterall. And I would go with live versions on many of their songs, they more of a "live band" and albums/studio/etc are just a way to "get people to listen to them." As they are very skilled singing live compared to many bands.

The moment of silence was for Chester Bennington. They were set to tour with Linkin Park when he died.

Taka, the lead singer is considered one of the best rock vocalists today. One ok rock was set to tour with Linkin Park but due to unforeseen and tragic circumstances the tour was cancelled. But Mike Shinoda has produced a few songs with the band over the years. Such a talented group of musicians. Please more oor reactions😀😀

To be clear, this song was in the album “Ambitions” by One Ok Rock ft. 5sos. So you can check them in their studio album Ambitions to hear 5sos. Also, Ashton Irwin was one of the people behind one of the song of One Ok Rock in their recent album.
I recommend “We are” Ambitions Japan Dome tour if you want a song that’s fully theirs. Actually Take what you want is theirs to begin with. 😅 most of the songs are written by Taka (vocals) with collaborations from Rob Cavallo to Ed Sheeran.

    First silence is "Silent Prayer".
And the Vocal said "Silence also is part of music".

Their live version is the best. Energy and emotion is at different level. Acoustic version is nice too.

Taka is one of the best vocalist I've ever heard.
I'm gonna see them in 3 weeks in Czechia and I can't wait.
Check out We Are and Renegades piano version, please.

There are many different kinds of songs, but I think the live songs called 'Stand Out Fit In' or 'We are' are not old and easy to understand.
Search for 'ONE OK ROCK - Making of Renegades #1' to see a video of them making a song with Ed Sheeran.

That's Japanese discipline for ya...they really make it a point to not use phones during live performances and know when they need to just listen and enjoy the show.

They were supposed to tour with linkin park but due to chester unfortunate situation the concert was cancelled so this was a tribute song and prayer for chester and linkin park. Taka wrote this song for his parents separation originaly and 5sos was a feature Collab but this is oor song. Taka actually says their songs are mostly for a preview of the concerts which to be honest are far better than the album or video version. I almost refuse to watch if it's not live because it is never even close to how good there live concert version is.

Please do more ONE OK ROCK like their WE ARE at Tokyo Dome. Taka always sings live and his voice is even better than the recording one. He doesn’t lipsynch. Also Japan is known as the rock land for bands, the amount of love, interest and support japanese have for rock is way higher than in any other country. They know how to have fun without the needing of screeching at every song.
That silence part couldn’t have been done anywhere else without someone shouting and breaking the moment (and yes I’m saying exactly that westerns are disrespectful in most cases).

They are way better live, their studio versions sound compressed to me. Many of their songs are at least half English.

    • @dkds8544
      @dkds8544 Рік тому +6

Exactly - not a lot of bands or groups does that. For me, it's OOK and BTS. Both groups are way better live than studio albums. Their performance, emotions, and crowd interactions are part of their music - it's not an experience but they take us on a journey in a short amount of time.

I listened OOR when I was like 12-16 but stopped because life, you know, other artists, new genres, growing up etc... It was beautiful to watch them again while you reacted to them guys. Taka's voice just took me back through time in such a beautiful way. Also, this, 5:52, when I tell you I choked up with laughs lol

If you want to see a Japanese crowd go crazy, watch their live version of the song Mighty Long Fall (the Yokohama version has more spectacular visuals, but the 2015 3xxxv Japan Tour Live has much better sound quality). You would think they were in South America.

  • @cbtowers4841

The name is actually pronounced “One O’Crock.” Or One O’Clock. It’s the time they used to practice on weekends. In Japanese English, the L sound doesn’t appear in the syllabary, so most Japanese pronounces the L sound with an R sound. So, One O’ Clock can be written the same way as ONE OK ROCK. Taka (vocalist) speaks English fluently, so I bet it was a deliberate play on the Japanese English pronunciation. 😅
