I finally found this game I haven't seen it in years thank you for this
Ware ???
No I meant on UA-cam I seen it goes for a lot on eBay
SAME HERE
Had nothing to do with the movie, STILL managed to be awesome
The popularity of Die Hard With A Vengeance (1995) helped this game do very well when it was released in U.S. arcades in 1996.
Well it did share a similar plot premise with the movie, albeit was it's own game at the same time too. Was still very good either way also, along with the arcade (and later Dreamcast) sequel, that was Dynamite Cop as well.
It isn't die hard, it was renamed to die hard to appeal to american audiences, the game's real name is dynamite deka
@@milit4nt189 other way around. It was developed as a Die Hard game and renamed to Dynamite Deka for Japan.
Make sense, what with it being quite obviously nakatomi plaza.
Surprised they didn't stretch for at least some models. Like die hard trilogy.
Imagine being a kid in 90s, seeing this for the first time in arcade saloon ,me and other kids were watching while two guys were playing it in co op , you should see everyone s faces when these two reach a final level , after final boss you have to fight each other in order to finish the game , whole place was like “NO FCK WAY!!” . Great memories , 90s best times 👏🏻
I didnt know if you played co op at the end the players had to face each other. Played this version when they dropped it on Sega Saturn. Played it in 97 I believe. But I was only by myself so seeing the ending by myself was only the option there was.
Thats double dragon all over again. That's 🍌's
this game's gameplay still holds up even in 2015. I honestly cant fathom the amount of quarters I spent on this game back in the day.
too many... too many...
All of them lol
Puppeteer Master I feel you. I thought I was Scrooge mcduck with how many I would spend on this game alone.
Besides the chick that required at least 12 gunshots and a flying ninja kick 2 mins into the game
damn you, i was just thinking that. sure enough, heres the comment
Those failed QTEs are hilarious. Classic slapstick comedy.
Literally, I was a small child getting heated at the QTEs. This was at a horse race track I grew up going to.
"Winners Don't Use Drugs"
ironic, that last boss part wasn't made by someone under no form of influence
That is why the boss lost ;)
Seriously though, drugs do fuck people up. I've seen enough of that IRL to have never even been tempted to touch the stuff, not even alcohol or cigs.
Unfortunately that's something that's been forgotten today. Now if the government can make money off it, then legalize it. Yeah, that's a great message for kids and the next generation. They'll reap the consequences with an even more messed up country.
SIKE! Weed's not a drug...stay away from meth though kids!
+Dave Smith correction addiction fucks ppl up lol
Played this back in like 1998 at an arcade in the mall and couldnt remember what it was called. I just accidentally stumbled on it because of Dunkey's top 100 games video.
was this the westminster mall
Remembered since i was a kid - fond memories of failing QTE lol
montebello mall?
@@Soho-Fart no, this was in Southcenter Mall in Washington state.
This was my favorite game as a kid. I was obsesses with DieHard as a little kid and this Absolutely blew my mind!
This game
Tekken tag tornament
Jurassic Park
Simpsons aracde
Time crisis 1-3
House of the dead 2
Sniper scope 1-2
Marvel vs capcom 1 & 2
gauntlet legends
Were my bread and butter back in the days
Pat Harris you had a great childhood
one of the best games in arcades during those times
I have had such distinct memories of this game lately and I couldn’t remember the name of it for the life of me. I’m so glad I actually found this. Aaaaaaah. Such a good game!!!
I used to love this game in the entrance of Walmart. However, my mom never let me play more than one or two quarters on it at a time. I would dream of being able to play it at home with unlimited credits but never thought it would be possible. I also imagined it would be hours and hours of content lol.
All that work for a “thank you” lol
"They have thirty hostages inside, oh and the presidents daughter so its no biggy."
I love the nonchalant helicopter pilot
7:30 Always loved how there was a Barrett .50 cal just chilling in a bathroom
Fully loaded bathroom you say???
Love how the broom is 10x stronger than the handgun lol
the impact of that 50 cal never gets less cool.
I remember playing this back in the mid-late 90’s at different game rooms in hotels while going to hockey tournaments to watch my brother play...it was a blast this brought me right back lol
I don’t know why I randomly thought of this game but it was one of the best arcade games of all time
i remember playing this game as a kid
Yeah, I remember feeding quarters into this arcade machine... It wasn't an easy game...
Same! They had it at the Roller Rink when I was 5. My favorite game of all time!
Kyle Olson SAME!
Fighting physics are pure awesomeness here. In 24:30 our hero gets kicked in the balls so hard that he almost put head in his arse, a moment later he pulls tetsumaki sempukyaku on the old geezer.
Holy crap, I use to play this all the time at my local roller derby growing up, man it still looks great!
This legit looks like a good game. And it looks charming with the 3D arena-style environments and colorful graphics.
Yeah, and it was kind of like a beam em up version of Virtua Fighter in a way for that matter too.
24:38 - apparently the villain is a Paul shaffer fan
I like when the bad guys go, "Yeeeeaaaaahhh". Like at 12:05
Lol
I remember seeing this game at an arcade back in 2005 (maybe)... recognized from the police helicopter flying over the city at the intro xD
The game is older than that. 1998 I think
The 3D graphics is very good for these years. Look like a NDS game.
or a sega saturn ¿? ....i dont know because this is a port of a sega saturn console
Pistol has some serious damn recoil
1:50 Everybody remember in the movie when McClane was trying to beat a hooker with a broom but she punched him, so he got up and unloaded an entire clip into her?! LMAO that shit had me rolling!
And she still gets up.
The firemen fight was intense.
Sort of appropriate that it was originally written without Die Hard in mind, since that's how pretty much all the movies were written, too!
I spent so much money on this arcade machine in the 90s. Great game. So much fun. I'll always remember the bathroom fight scene ahaha 7:18 😆
This game pissed me off to no end as a kid but holy hell I loved it.
Ah, who could forget that classic scene in Die Hard where McClain shoots straight through three men with an anti-tank rifle?
I miss simple beat em ups like this. Today's games are too dramatic and complicated for their own good. They forget that their supposed to be fun.
Trucker_Pete let alone local multiplayer or split screen is almost a thing of the past....sad.
Trucker_Pete Have drama is a good tjing, it's called diversity and it is because they are more complex that we got games like tlou. Not every game has to be as simple as doom or this or it will het stale and boring.
This doesn't look fun at all.
I used to love the arcade till they went from a quarter to a dollar a game
How is Drama alone diversity? I think you need to look up the definition of diversity. The last of us wasn't really the best. Neither is this game but, this game treats itself like a game. Not a movie. OP is mostly right. If he added a well rounded array of emotion then he'd be right on the money. That's why Nintendo has the longest streak of great games in video game history. They focus on gameplay. Yes, drama here and there is cool. I love horror but, if that overshadows gameplay, what reason does the player have to play the game again? No matter how good the story? The best games were the ones with a scoreboard. Your skill and gameplay improved with experience. DLC only makes up for the lack of scoreboards because, most people only play most games once. Especially once platinumed. Then what?
My friend and I use to play this at the mall arcade (which is now an anime shop) at the local mall for a couple years in the mid 90's. Fun game.
I remember spending around $5 to beat this game at the Riviera in Las Vegas when I was a kid.
I remember the first time seeing this in an arcade and thinking “graphics will never get better than this”. I pumped many quarters into this game.
Damn throwback ! I remember when i use to play indoor soccer all the kids that were waiting to play or played already were playing this on the arcade machines under the bleachers ! So many memories lmaooo hella fights too 😂😂😂
Used this play this at Pizza Hut when my dad and I would go on kid’s night.
That's not fair; the last boss is throwing swords and all John McClain has is a gun
I think this was my favorite arcade game of all time. The old xmen one is right behind it, though this had much more replayability.
The holy trinity of arcade: die hard, xmen, and the simpsons.
Finally after all these years I know what game I was playing when I was a kid at a pizza hut when my dad use to take me I would remember playing this but just didn't know what game it was.
I'm in my early 40s. I remember this game and Operation Wolf at the rollerskating rink. Thanks for sharing.
Played this as a kid and I thought I had a ton of game to go. But it seems I made it to the final boss all those years ago! Amazing
I remember this when I was about 8 or 9 years old when this came out. Lol There was virtua fighter, killer instinct 2. The list goes on and on but this game was really fun!
Hahaha girl in the mini skirt shot multiple times and still comes back for more!
Only to die when she gets slapped. Once.
They had this game at the arcade in this ice rink my sister used to take lessons at. I played it for countless hours. Big-time nostalgia from being 6-7 years old
Oh man those sound effects are GOLD
I love this game. I wish there was a remake or a remaster of it.
I think it was on the PS2 (although it was Japan only)
Yes, it exists a remake on PS2, running under "SEGA Ages". I have a modded PS2 too and also the remake. But the remake is not as great as it sounds.
The submarine mini game to get extra credit..
Hell yeah
She Knows! 😮
Wait, what?
@@napalmwedding If you play the Deep Scan submarine game before playing DieHard Arcade you get an credit with every Submarine you sink.
@@knightbrian92 Yes, but only in the Sega Saturn version though.
Man this brings back fond memories from my childhood. Thanks for posting!
I beat this as a kid with a friend if I'm not mistaken mistaken you have to fight each other at the end.
EMFS The Dabbing Robot that’s dynamite cop
Yep you did fight at the end. I watch my friends get to the end and that happened.
Oh god I remember this. It was in the arcade in my local pizza place when I was a little kid. I had to have spent hundreds of dollars on this game.
As an asian i like fried rice, and used to play this while waiting for my fried rices
Played this as a kid in the mid 2000's. Me and my best friend spent hours trying to beat it, and iirc we did.
Sick game VEry UNDERRATED
I remember playing it co op with friends... when you finish it , you ll fight each other !!!
I played this game in Taj mahal just as much as I did on my Sega Saturn Awww Man I've had So much fun playing Die Hard Arcade I used 2 always main that chick she was so lethal with those combos lol
Had this at my hockey rink called Iceland in swartz creek (flint) michigan. Everytime my brother had a game I'd literally either just watch the trailer or use up all of my parents change playing this. Such nostalgia, this and RAGE were my s*** outside of Mario, donkey kong, twisted metal and jet moto
The Music Is Good Too It draws my attention immediately unlike most games 2day
2:51 They don't make clocks like they used to
LOL, rocket launcher into the clock and it remains normal
Играл в девяностых на автомате в парке, этот графен казался мне божественным. Дальше первых нескольких сцен не смог пройти.
You mean to tell me "Gruber" doesn't even fall from the plaza?!?
Spent many quarters in pizza hut playing this.....
This game was EPIC! I played it at Super K-Mart when I was 12 in the mid 90’s and loved it to death. The classic 90’s voice acting, the absurd weapons, such as an anti tank being used on a human, the hair spray mixed with the lighter to create a makeshift flamethrower, all of it.
I never played it but it looks like fun
The old bad dude's voice is hilarious!!
This is my childhood
This game seemed rare as I only found it in 1 arcade back in the day.
Next best thing I'd have to say would have been Power Stone. IDK of Power Stone was on arcade in the US but remember it on Dreamcast. It was such an amazing game but seemingly disappeared quick and was never talked about.
The part of the movie where Bruce Willis beats up a shirtless grandpa on the roof is faithfully recreated in this game.
It was a great game I used to play with my friends... Lot of fun
This arcade game was epic
13:46 that's a big chungus
Lol played this as a kid with my dad at chuck e cheese. I never got past the firefighter stage smh.
this hits me right in the nostalgia
Good old memories! Thanks for uploading! Big up! :)
I used to play this in Wildwood NJ as a kid in the old arcades lol loved this game
i remember this game only 3d game in the arcade saloon, kids loved it because of the 3d graphics... most played game in my childhood saloon
I don't recall John McClane fighting robots and naked men in the bathroom 😆
This is one of my all time favorite games
This game still kicks ass even today 😡😡
Love this game!!! I still have mines!
2:00
takes 12 bullets to the face: lives
Kicks one time: dies
Used to love playing this game. I've seen it in multiple places but can't remember for the life of me where they were. But it was in the early 2000's. Also, you gotta' love how punches and kicks are more damaging than a missile launcher lmao.
@ 7:17 Homeboy was gettin off super hard....
This is very accurate to the movie
The marketing con is real.
The firemen in the parking lot in particular every cool detail
When i watched this game, it is like I'm playing the movie.
Had many fond memories in the arcade, this one was one of the best beatem ups.
The unofficial movie between Vengeance and Live Free.
This, Fighting Force and Virtua Cop were my child 😊
Amazing how a round house kick does more damage then a bazooka in the face
Man, i loved this in the arcade, the graphics don't hold up at all lol, gameplay still looks solid. This is why i like stylized art, the kind of art you find in Streets of Rage and Final Fight. It just looks better over a longer period. This is nostalgic though lol, those pixilated models are just WOW.
I remember playing this on the Sega Saturn!
I cannot lie....this game rocks my socks....
Ah, the memories of playing this at the laundromat.
Where I lived you needed 4 quarters just to play it, I-I don't know how many I've spent on it but... know it was too much
Killer robots...just like in the movies!
How comes you keep failing at the cut scenes lol!
11:45 did that guy shoot you in the nuts? LOL
Andrew The Transformer them QTEs was no joke frfr.
My favorite was when you kicked the guys in the crotch and they jumped saying ouch holding it
This game was so fuckin amamzing when i was a child yall dont even know.
Yoooo! Can relate. This shit was hard!
Nah she laughed after slapping him then he pulled out the blickie and shot df outta her 😂😂
7:32 - Goon being beaten up: "Oh shit, that's an anti-tank rifle. OH SHIT, THAT'S AN ANTI TANK RIFLE!"
