This is what I love about the Punisher. He lost his humanity when his family died and he became the Punisher. He fights like a man possessed. He will kill everyone in his way or die trying.
Capcom made the absolute best games back in the day. Children of the Atom, MvC 1 and 2, Street Fighter II series (Alpha and 3 as well), Punisher, way too many perfect classics to name.
To be fair, they’re one of the last AAA video game developer and publisher I still have some respect for. They made mistakes here and there but did not fall in some really dark pits like many others.

What i love about this game is that it wonderfully captures the essence of the gangster types of the late 70s early 80s kingpins henchmen in this game like skinner, kolsky, hannigan, luis allegre actually were featured in the marvel comic the punisher way back when. The mafioso theme of the kingpin at the end of the game adds a real nice touch.

The Punisher is my all-time favourite character when I saw his sad story in the intro scene I said to myself "poor Frank" until he became The Punisher, but guys you should know his family was killed by the Costa Crime family, because they witnessed a mob execution and the victim who's been executed is an undercover agent and the Police didn't do anything about it because most of them have been bought
I LOVED this game when I was a kid because I loved The Punisher, and it was fairly easy to play. You could advance very far on just one quarter. Great game.

Definition of playing comic books back when we were young. The only interactive and closest way you could play your favorite comic book character and be them. To this day, there's still no other way. These games even looked like comic books.

You achieve that move by jumping with an enemy in your hands then pressing down + attack. If you press attack at the highest point of the jump you make the special attack with the roar and also deals more damage.
I've played it so many times in the arcades that in the end I would beat the game with one single coin and two lives. I was in elementary school back then. It was the best game ever. On a side note, I couldn't ever finish cadilacs and dinasours let alone with one coin

Hey all my viewers, i never liked to use auto control in most of the game play until i found some parts with annoying fist attack on my enemy. u know manual taping of one key again and again. So boring!! So i pressed the auto control button sometimes but not all time..
There's no reason to use auto control in beat 'em ups. Because there are a bunch of moves you can execute. In shoot 'em ups though, in games where you have to manually tap for each shot, there is a reason to use turbo. Only if the game doesn't have a special move where you have to hold the shoot button to execute it. Otherwise, I never really use it.
Back in the day, I would never imagine some unknown superhero whos not from any media Im familiar with would appear in my fav video game genre. imo, this beat em up is the best of its time because of how beatable it feels even if youre a first time player. you dont even need to know any specific way to beat certain types of enemies and the boss patterns are almost negligible coz of the buttload of weapons littered on the screen.
there is a special piledriver. when you are at the climax of your jump with the enemy you just hold down and press punch. he hits the guy to the ground with full force. another thing is this game had such weird bug. at some point you become invisible and kicking their ass with ease. 2:12 it has been demonstated here. btw when you do down - up and punch you just swing a different cutting kick.

Capcom, Konami, and Taito were simply arcade kings of the 90's, the 80's saw Namco and Taito rule the roost in arcades.
