i use the loop to attach differents some key rings or gear -> girth hitch. As the circonference of the weaven / cobra knot is about 6 cm i use a loop of 3,5-4 insteal of 2cm :-)

Pity all instruction videos are not as good as this. Easy to follow and not too fast.
