Yeah this area produces some of Oregon's finest Iris agate, dendrite agate and various other amazing materials. I've seen some amazing pieces from out there. Especially the pink pinecone!
Congleton Hollow at this time of year, awesome 👍 I have driven in there once and saw the flash of stone in the deep hoofprint of a cow. I jumped out with the vehicle still running and dug up a bucket of gorgeous agatized wood. You never know what the Rock Gods are going to bless you with. Awesome video and thanks for the upload. I think it's time for me to get out and collect some nice stones.
Wow! I’d say you did very well surface collecting! We’ve been there a couple of times over the last 3 years and did great. Digging also produced nice jasper and agate. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. I had surgery on Christmas Eve and watching your videos makes me want to heal up quickly so I can get back out there! lol just 7 more weeks to go! 💪💚✌️
It was a fun day with some nice finds. Next time I go I want to spend more time digging. Hope you feel better soon! Get back out there and find something amazing!!
Way bigger haul than I'd expect from there these days, esp in clouds. I'd wondered what going there as early as possible/passable in the year would getcha. Great stuff to wash up!
The low clouds were not helping! At all. One of my best days ever out there was mid winter during a flash melt. That whole drainage was flooding. Agates were everywhere.
Nice little casts and that one torwards the end is a real beauty! Would love to see the big one all cleaned up. Looks like a picked over place.... makes you wonder if more exploring farther outwards would be worth a look?
Oh I feel ya man lol. We are dying to get back to the Ochocos and Congleton. We are closer to the beach but central is where it's at. As soon as the weather is a little better we be hitting the road. @@itslattice4195

Amazingly pure agate limb casts!! Always a great day out there! Thank you, enjoy yourselves!!
Love your videos. Feels like I’m with you. And I learn so much from you. Thank you and please keep them coming
Can't watch it now but we'll watch it a little bit later going to smash the thumbs up for you support bro😊
I appreciate that! Thanks for the support!!
Pine cones would be pretty crazy… that looks like another awesome spot to go digging around

Nice! Love days like that. When it all aligns. Get out there and find it!

Well done! Congleton Hollow will be producing for many more years to come.
So many amazing things still hidden out there!

Oh yeah getting away from the main area can help. I've found nice stuff right by the parking/camping area but less and less over the years.
Nice work! I love a good early season dig. Plus the surface collecting is prime after a good hard freeze. Cheers!
Thanks! I'm itching to get back out there and have a serious dig session.

That's great. 👍 love it.
Thank you!
Those finds are great, you guys did well. Ahhh, the quest for Iris! I've got a banger from there. Thanks for sharing!
Love Congleton Iris. Some super sharp rainbows out there!
Awesome finds, limb cast are pretty darn cool!
They really are! Love some agate limbs!!
Nice time. Did you camp?
Looks like camping weather to me. Campgrounds empty that time of year.
I wish. I stayed until dusk so the drive out was pretty brutal after a long day. Had to go slow because all the deer were moving around the highway.
I think that big weird semi oval shaped cast was a mushroom.
Could be. I'll have to look at it closer now that you say that. That same day, I found one that looks like the endocarp of a walnut.
