Fun Fact: in Azarovs resting place at his office, if you search the walls, you can find a document framed to the wall with the name Danny Johnson(Ghost Face) just barely readable on it. This hints that Ghost Face may have been a hired hitman of Azarov before he was taken. When Azarov died, Danny fled and began his newspaper killings.
It feels so more satisfied to have that actual lore for Wraith. I always felt like his lore felt very rushed. Yeah, that's a guy named philip who killed a mafia boss and therefore became an invisible killer for the entity? What? Why is the guy suddenly an invisible hunter?
@@Angel_Flash While I do admit I haven't read any tome (I should), other killer have a very sufficiant main page lore. Even if some killers get more detailed than others, the Wraith's main page Lore is rushed like no one else. But yeah I should read tomes, there's pretty interesting stuff in those I've heard.
When you talked about the white eyes, I thought it meant that they are blinded by their desire for revenge, since I think that fits both Spirit and Deathslinger, and the Wraith, being that monster-slayer hero of the Navajo, seeked revenged after seeing his people get killed by the colonists. That would fit his legend, since these men could be considered monsters by him after what they did.
I think this theory falls apart when you look at the artist though. Her eyes are pitch black and she would fall under that category of having the white eyes as well as she was not exactly evil before the entity took her in.
@jordaninacan Except for the fact that her hands are made of ink, so it's quite obvious that the Entity has made changes to her and it's possible that the black eyes are either a byproduct of its changes or an intentional change by it.
I know a lot of people would be angry at this, but I would love a lore overhaul where the wraith is connected to a forest spirit. Auto-haven could be still work as his realm, maybe it was built on top of a forest and the wraith is lashing out against the destruction of nature. Maybe the mind of Philip merges with the spirit because they both see Azarov as a monster.
If he was this protector of the woods. Maybe he could have been a great hero of his kind. But one day he could have been taken by the Entity a couple of 100th of years ago, just to suffer or something. And in present day, the Entity decided to show what happened over the years to the place he swore to protect. Now he wants to retake what's his, but he has to kill all the inhabitants aka the survivors. But knowing he will be forever alone, the last of his kind. The rest is dead. Forever fighting in an city in a place called home, his home, his swamp, his wood... The monster of the old tree.
I’d imagine Wraith was conceptually much different before Autohaven, and that at some point they created what we have now to fit the theme of Autohaven, which I think is some of the best lore we’ve gotten. If that is the case, it’d be cool to imagine what we could have gotten instead
been waiting for this for so long I'm glad you came back to it. I wish wraith got to keep that original lore it sounds really interesting and I feel like would add a lot to the character
Me too, I wish we could see a potentially evil Wraith, or a more tribal inspired killer. But hey, what we have now is also good! That leaves the doors open for another original killer that fits that theme better!
They should rework his lore and perks and give us the black wood tree map. This game needs more aesthetics. And they should start to improve it from their base game killers.
But while waiting for dev confirmation, the real question is: ... Is there anything left to tell about Bob, outside of being an early concept for Totally-Not-Myers before Myers took his place?
Code remnant aside, If it's true Bob was scrapped when they got Myers and not before, then it's possible they had the stalk power conceptualized and/or in development and just gave it to Myers.
It's very sad that Wraith's background and everything was "destroyed" that much, imagine how interesting a forest/wood lore and all the things around that would have been.
The thing about ideas that get scrapped or rewritten due to time constraints in game development, is that those ideas often get reused later. So I think you're on it with the wraith being some kind of wood monster or spirit is likely correct, but only part of the story. Let's think of another character that has a similar game design (and name) as the wraith, the spirit. She was brutally murdered and came back as a vengeful ghost. A wraith is also a spirit, so perhaps like every killer (aside from some licensed characters and arguably the dredge) the wraith started out as a normal person that was killed at the roots of the blood willow and considering the native influence he came back as a slayer of the 'monsters' that killed him and perhaps his family/tribe, but having been created from such burning vengeance then fell under the influence of the entity.
To be honest, I always thought it was weird that even though we got the Hag we never actually see any of the Cannibals that kidnapped and ate her, after all the devs came up with a village of cannibals but instead of making one of these cannibals into a killer they made it one of their victims? It makes sense to me that the Wraith might been intended the head hunter or spirit that guided the cannibal village that kidnapped the hag in the first place, and his perks kinda support that. It makes sense that he would have enhanced abilities for hunting people if he was literally a cannibal actually hunting people to bring back to the village. Just like the hag, he's made of wood, his add-ons are reminiscent of the same symbols mentioned in her lore that gave the powers that turned her into a wooden monster. Perhaps the blood willow tree was a corrupting force that turned people in to flesh eating plant people?
Maybe, they could “retcon” Wraith lore a bit more and include the “Tree spirit” I imagine it would be something like this. “After killing his old boss, due to his guilt of all killing be it intentionally or not, he decided to “hang” on the Red Tree in the area. Only for his spirit to merge with the tree itself, creating the Wraith.”
Personal Headcanon of the Original Lore for the Wraith: Philip Ojomo was a hunter and fisherman in the bayou. Having grown up in the marsh, he was extremely familiar with the muddy waters, the drooping willows, and the many animals that call it all home. He believed that the swamp had its own soul, and he practiced what others could only relate to voodoo. He made his living catching crawdads and hunting other game, making charms with them or selling them as food at the market in the nearby town to be able to afford necessary items and a few creature comforts, as well as food he couldn't hunt, fish, or gather from the swamp. He was known by few in the small town nearby, as he spent most of his time contently by himself in the wetlands, but those who knew him liked him well enough. He may not have been well educated, and the charms he made were rather odd and sometimes grisly, but he was pleasant and friendly, and knew the swamp and all its inhabitants like the back of his hand. But the swamp is a dangerous place, and not everything or everyone in them is as peaceful as Philip. It was commonly known that there were some who lived even further within than Philip, whom kept entirely to themselves, and whom most people would rather swim with a crocodile than be caught near their homes. There were reports that these people were a multitude of things: from a holed-up gang of outlaws, hiding just out of the reach of Johnny Law; to a group of lunatics, who had escaped from the asylum years ago and managed to coexist with the land; to a nudist colony where psychedelic mushrooms and other plants were eaten like candy, making them wildly unpredictable and dangerous. No matter the rumor, one thing was for certain. Once you go so far into the swamp, that was their territory, and nobody had the courage to find out if any of the rumors were true. One day, tragic news got to Philip by word of mouth as he made his rounds at the market: two kids, brother and sister, had been out playing in the swamp, and presumably wandered too far. By the time their folks noticed and went out searching, all they found was their daughter's shoe, dozens of muddy footprints, and a few drops of blood. The townsfolk were afraid that after all this time, the mysterious deep-swamp dwellers had finally revealed their nature, and the parents were beside themselves with grief. What was to become of their children? Underneath his rough and grimy exterior, Philip was a big softie, and he knew something had to be done. He couldn't just sit idly by knowing that children had been taken out in his neck of the marsh. So, he went home, loaded up his rifle, and come nightfall he went out searching for the kids. It wasn't long before Philip found a set of tracks. No matter whether it was light out or not, he could track anything in the swamp; even if it went in the water, he could find it. He was hot on the trail like a bloodhound, stalking along just the same as if he were out hunting for 'gator. But 'gators didn't live in rickety wooden stilt houses, ramshackle bridges and walkways connecting them all above the murk and mud. He couldn't hear or see anything; it was like the whole place was empty. He went to stand up, and get a better peek at what was up ahead, but as he did so he heard the telltale mushy sound of a footstep behind him. He whipped his gun around and fired, closing his eyes so the muzzle flash didn't rob him of his night vision. He heard a shout from whoever snuck up on him, and then another, and another, as the inhabitants of the village began to wake up. One of the sentries had found a trespasser, and they all knew what that meant. Philip fought hard, taking a couple more shots and even thrusting the stock of the rifle to bludgeon his assailant, but by the time he was gaining the upper hand, he lost it as he was surrounded. Mud-covered, rag-clothed people, moving more like animals than humans, swept in and began battering him with hits from club and fist. It wasn't long before they had him bound, and he could hear them ringing an old, low bell, possibly taken from one of the wrecked boats from the river, as if to let the whole village know it was time for dinner. They dragged him by the legs past the buildings, to the exposed roots of a large willow tree. They pulled him inside, tying him to the roots, where he could just barely see the skeletal remains of what must be dozens of bodies. The thought of how many people the cannibals had captured and eaten just a few miles from his own home made him sick, and the smell of rotting meat only made it worse. They took their time carving him up, eating pieces of his flesh right in front of his horrified eyes, but even still he lashed out, kicking and fighting for an escape he knew he could never make. Day after day, they came to take more of him. His infected flesh oozed discolored pus and fluid, and he was running a fever hot enough to boil a kettle on his forehead. Blood dripped from his mouth from the blood he'd coughed up, and yet he talked to himself, urging himself to hold on. Someone had to get the word out about these monsters; someone had to make them pay for what they've done. Loss of liquids sent him into shock, and he found himself talking to the tree, begging it to help him, as if it could do anything. When the tree responded, he asked again for it to help him, to help him escape so the cannibals could pay. The tree obliged. Roots began to move, slowly circling around Phillip, pulling him in. He was certain this whole thing was a nightmare, and he tried to cry out, but it was too late. Philip Ojomo had disappeared. The next day, the sheriff and his deputies had found the village. None of the townsfolk were quite so adept at navigating the swamp as Philip had been, so it took the small search party a few days to find and follow the trail of the missing children. What they found was utter carnage. Bodies, mutilated and torn, strewn about the boorish wooden walkways and the water below. A handful of bodies were hung impaled on tree branches, like a grim warning to all who dare come near. One was even splayed in ritual fashion, the skull and spine removed, surrounded by what looked like occult sigils written in blood. Between his own strange spiritual practices, and his absence as of late, this started the rumor that Philip had come out and taken the law into his own hands. But Philip Ojomo was never found. Some say he managed to fight the cannibals, and despite being outnumbered, he killed them all for what they'd done, made a sacrifice to appease nature, and ran off so he couldn't be tried for his crimes. Others say he was killed and eaten too, and it was an animal or a madman that tore these people apart. Some even claimed there were monsters lurking these very woods, who prey on the wicked and the foul. Rumor after rumor sprang up, just like before. But nobody saw the face amongst the trees, and nobody heard the gurgling breaths coming from the roots of the bloodstained willow. What they did hear occasionally some nights, far out in the swamp, was the haunting sound of an old bell ringing. Thus began the local legend of the Wraith of the Swamp. Yes, I know I went overboard with the detail, and I know it doesn't hold up in parts. To summarize, if Philip was supposed to be the original Swamp killer, regardless of what else relates to him, it stands to reason that when they instead made Hag the Swamp killer, they recycled his old lore and freshened it up to fit the new character. So I combined the Hag's lore with what little we know about Wraith's original design, including the likelihood of him being a hunter of some sort and his connection to the Bloodwood Willow, and made up a narrative that combines the two. Its not perfect, and it's far too long for a DBD lore entry, but I had fun writing it and that's what counts.
Now, taking into account he's a wooden monster, his fear for fire (archives story) makes much more sense! Thanks for your videos, I can't stop watching them 👀
Godlike rabithole, godlike edit, godlike theorie, entertaining to watch. Keep up man. I was missing someone who covers dbd lore, without an anoying voice. *Thumbs up*
Nah but what you commented makes sense, there is no killer in DBD linked to another, the only reason clown, huntress nurse and plague share a realm is because of reuse of assets, not because of lore reasons. Clown is supossed to be walking everywhere in the realms yet he only is in the asylum, and Plague / Huntress have nothing to do with each other. Two killers that knew eachother and shared a map would be interesting!
@@MintSkull Well, they didn't know each other, but Spirit and Oni kinda fit the bill since they share a realm because they are related. We also might get another Yamaoka in the future because there's still one katana in the family residence.
I think the Nurse may have had something similar to the wreath happen to her. I say that because she float's and has a bag on her head like someone who was executed by hanging... And according to her story she only lost her sanity and disappeared in a ambulance crash... She was responsible for the crash but how does she get the ability to teleport and the urge to where a sackcloth bag on her head...? I do think that she was intended to be a nurse to begin with but I don't think her story entirely maches her in-game caricature and ability
So do you people read the lord or just skim them act smart? She suffocated people as her main form of killing method....so of course her design would incorporate the fact...she literally took her own breath away. Also she the stereotypical ghost so she obviously could teleport.
She suffocated her patients, and I think somewhere in her description it mentions the bag as a kinda parody of how she killed her victims. Same thing with the constant heavy breathing. It could also be this is purely a punishment by the entity. At least and especially looking at the gas mask cosmetic. If you've worn one, without really being able to control your breathing it can be suffocating. You feel the mask get sucked onto every inch of your face whenever you inhale. Kinda spooky. It feels like, because you probably aren't, getting complete breaths.
I love me some theory videos. Tasty food for thought and gives some really interesting insights into a video game world we enjoy being despite. :) awesome job
In some tomp or in hag lore there is a sentence from hag were she said:„don’t worry gran I won‘t be captured by cannibals or TURN INTO A TREEE“so maybe wraith was turn into a tree by the blood widow tree.
Something that just occurred to me is that, while Wraith wasn't the original Autohaven killer, maybe Azarov, or one of his hencemen, was "Bob" in the original lore? Think about it - Wraith didn't want to be a killer, but his boss was happy to do it. Even on the description for Azarov's resting place it mentions how people were killed, and while some were for the money, some were for the fun of killing. This means that they wouldn't necessarily have to change the lore behind Autohaven, just replace Azarov's executioner with a hired body that didn't want to kill people. While Autohaven changed Wraith's lore, perhaps Wraith's introduction changed a bit of Autohaven as well. Maybe in the original lore Azarov was the killer, lured people into his Gas Station, broke down their vehicles, and then killed them while they had no way to escape - this idea is supported a bit by the various lore snippets behind Autohaven maps. This would have made him, lore wise, closer to Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho", but maybe when BHVR got the Halloween license they realized that the appearance of the killer and his power were too close to how they'd make Myers and scrapped him (like you'd do in a wreckers yard🙃).
Would be interesting if they ever decide to go back and redo wraiths lore, putting him back to where he belongs and putting in a new killer in autohaven (with same lore as current wraith just altered to fit)

This is like the 2nd video i've watched on this channel and I have to say: You're doing amazing work. Interesting facts, fascinating stories, backround knowledge, good research. I will leave a like now and watch some more of your work! ✨🤩
I'd say from what I understand, The Wraith was a spirit of the forest, someone who maybe even was a guardian of a village in the swamp that attacked trespassers who attempting to harm anyone from the native people. He was born of the Blood Willow tree which was a sacred landmark to him and the people. The Entity corrupted him, and in the realm, since his eyes are white like the other blinded killers as I'll say, he thinks survivors are outsiders coming to forsake the land.
I always felt Wraith's "lore" didn't make any sense and felt rushed, I dismissed it as just another inconsistency (like Nurse teleporting and randomly having a bag over her head), but apparently it was literally slapped together last minute lol. I don't know if they've expanded on the "new" Wraith lore in tomes but if they haven't I would honestly love a retcon that adds a more cohesive backstory/theme for Wraith.
Makes so much sense, It's a shame they scrapped him to be shoved in autohaven. I feel like I would have loved him way more if they kept his original lore. DAMN YOU MYERS! lol
I really wish the village map was in the game. It’s what the Knights map should’ve been. An outdoor map that’s crowded as you duck in and out of houses. Imagine Wraith’s old village, burned by the killing crews.
Finally! I was waiting so long for that video! And I absolutely love it :D Maybe they can extend Wraiths love with Swamp rework, maybe instead of being taken by the entity right after murder of Azarow, he would wandered to the abandoned village map and live there, isolated from humanity, killing anyone who comes there in fear of them finding out who he is and what he did, and burring thier body's under the tree afterwards...
I think it would be pretty cool if they developed the village as a swamp realm and released it as a standalone map (bc we’ve been getting only a few maps now) and it could be tied to the archives with like a terra 396 wraith lore where he’s actually a monster, and make a legendary skin where he doesn’t have the white eyes bc he knows what he’s doing (though don’t know how they could make him look any more wooden than his existing skins) idk just something I thought about
Man, I would've loved to see his original lore! He's personally my 2nd favorite stealth killer, and it makes sense if he was actually from the swamp. His design doesn't fit autohaven at all, but is a really cool design
I always knew Autohaven wasn't really wraith's realm. As you point out none of it fits. I just viewed it more as a generic realm. I would love for some of the old swamp maps to come back. I thin the bait show with the neon is always such a cool visual. And the VIllage looks like it would be an interesting design, very vertical, but unlike other vertical maps, this is also very open. I'd actually love if they retcon'd Wraith back to his original lore.
this might explain why his lobby animations are so strange, if he was actually meant to be a hunter who excels in tracking, it would explain why he looks around his surroundings in the lobby
I legit thought he was like paranoid about something, I was like "dude, you're the killer, don't worry." But honestly this would make so much more sense.
Tbh wraith's design reminds me more of a tree, given the protrusions from his hand and idle position. So red forest he'd fit in perfectly. Tbh his design could be reworked to have car parts sticking out of him or car oil and grease being used as face paint, along with metal shrapnel lodged in his arms or head. His design has nothing to do with cars or machinery, which it should

while "bob" looks a lot like michael myers, i thought the supposed "crawler" concept art bore a striking resemblance to the Witch from left 4 dead in stature, skin colour, hair and clothing. it seems likely to me a killer for the left 4 dead collab crossed their mind as they were proposing Bill and while the timeline doesn't quite add up seeing as she got added much earlier than Bill, Hag's beta name of "Witch" along with her body type and oversized claw hand make me wonder if there's more to it that only MintSkull could dig up.

Great vid!

Man what an awesome work you did with this video! Thanks for bringing us all this lore and information Also I love the main theme of Tomb Raider Anniversary that sounds on the "3th part of the puzzle" 😍
Bro he's... he's literally an African spirit of vengeance... He's basically the same concept as the Spirit, except he didn't die before he was taken by the entity. Dude was tormented by the Nigerian civil war, and he was permanently disfigured after his first ever murder. His bell was something he was supposed to ring to signal incoming danger to his village, and now it's original use is twisted because when you hear it, HE'S the incoming danger. Autohaven Wreckers makes PERFECT sense to be his map because it's where he BECAME the Wraith. His addons, while being completely made up, are meant to be some form of African sigils. The reason why he went from being "a normal human" to "a wooden... WRAITH with invisibilty powers" is the same as any other killer that went through a strange transformation. The Entity did that to them. It's the same as The Nurse, Hag, Spirit, Twins, Oni, and Artist. If anyone is close to your theory, it would be The Hag because she's LITERALLY a wendigo. Wraith's design looks more like it's loosely based off of either the Grim Reaper (since he has a bone/skull motif and rings a bell that signals death), or general voodoo mythos. His current lore is already great, and it makes perfect sense. It's like you only read his character info lore but not his tome lore.
Thank you for this vid. I will always love Wraith. He's not the strongest killer but sometimes he's the key to an easy 4k or trolling survivors. And they did fine with his lore considering the (alleged) circumstances, even if "Philip the Mechanic" is a weak and weird premise. I at least find myself thinking about his morality a lot, and his extra lore in the tomes put Wraith against one of the most tragic backdrops of modern history and gave him a clear motivation and a reason behind his bell. It's more than I can say for Hag... I wonder what can be salvaged of the old ideas without erasing what's already there. And by that, I mean that Nigeria has swamps and forests too.
Im glad you put togeather the Navajho lore as well! I made this connection a long time ago when i first started playing and pointed it out to my discord how they looked identical!

I thought black meant it let them go by their desires, while white meant it forces them to do it without their full control.
This is a fun little lore that I could get behind. It would all make way more sense
Little geek😂
So erasing an important and deeply impactful event? Oh did you forget he comes from the Nigerian civil war?
@@kylesimone6140 huh?
I’d imagine Wraith was conceptually much different before Autohaven, and that at some point they created what we have now to fit the theme of Autohaven, which I think is some of the best lore we’ve gotten. If that is the case, it’d be cool to imagine what we could have gotten instead
Some of the best lore? Interesting, I'd have to say I think you're the first person I've heard say that
been waiting for this for so long I'm glad you came back to it.
But while waiting for dev confirmation, the real question is:
... Is there anything left to tell about Bob, outside of being an early concept for Totally-Not-Myers before Myers took his place?
Just a single art work I think. And his old code remnant for Wraith
Code remnant aside, If it's true Bob was scrapped when they got Myers and not before, then it's possible they had the stalk power conceptualized and/or in development and just gave it to Myers.
Bob's full name was actually Miguel Meyers
Chances are that Bob might have been called something like 'The Stalker', with pretty much Evil Within as a power.
It's very sad that Wraith's background and everything was "destroyed" that much, imagine how interesting a forest/wood lore and all the things around that would have been.
This lore is better imo makes Wraith feel a lot scarier than some guy who is mad at his boss
It's really cool that you found all of this hidden stuff to finaly explain how the wraith was originaly going to be. Nice job !
Maybe, they could “retcon” Wraith lore a bit more and include the “Tree spirit”
I imagine it would be something like this.
“After killing his old boss, due to his guilt of all killing be it intentionally or not, he decided to “hang” on the Red Tree in the area. Only for his spirit to merge with the tree itself, creating the Wraith.”
Also explains Wraiths sound design, when he's cloaked
And the sound when he's stunned he sounds like an animal
Personal Headcanon of the Original Lore for the Wraith:
Philip Ojomo was a hunter and fisherman in the bayou.
Its not perfect, and it's far too long for a DBD lore entry, but I had fun writing it and that's what counts.
you put a lot of work into these videos, i'm very sure you're going to grow fast, keep it up!
Thank you!

I want to see a dev react to this video so badly.
Why?
@@atanaZion To see what they have to say regarding this video. Maybe they'll reveal more interesting stuff.
*Thumbs up*
It would be interesting to have two Killer sharing the same realm
nurse, clown, huntress, and plague all day hello.
🤦♂️
Nah but what you commented makes sense, there is no killer in DBD linked to another, the only reason clown, huntress nurse and plague share a realm is because of reuse of assets, not because of lore reasons. Clown is supossed to be walking everywhere in the realms yet he only is in the asylum, and Plague / Huntress have nothing to do with each other. Two killers that knew eachother and shared a map would be interesting!
@@MintSkull what I would like to see is a rivalry between two killer for the realm if one is less useful for the entity she'll make sure that he knows
I like your thinking
Tbf her design is prob simply a reference to Silent Hill's Nurses
@@atanaZion but she isn't from silent hill tho maybe your right I haven't seen them so I wouldn't have known
I actually like this way more than what we officially got (and makes a lot more sense)
Omg, this blew my mind! SUCH interesting stuff in this one!
Wow, thank you so much for the comment!
That was an incredibly well put together theory and edit. Top notch stuff as always!
I love me some theory videos. Tasty food for thought and gives some really interesting insights into a video game world we enjoy being despite. :) awesome job
Would be cool if we could still get these two unreleased swamp maps when they rework the realm :(
In some tomp or in hag lore there is a sentence from hag were she said:„don’t worry gran I won‘t be captured by cannibals or TURN INTO A TREEE“so maybe wraith was turn into a tree by the blood widow tree.
You are crazy, man. Sick video. It was very cool to watch, great job! As a Wraith main, I appreciate it.
Even tho i dont play dbd anymore i still tune in for your videos
Thank you!
Now this is the investigative journalism our boy Phillip deserves!
I think that it would be cool if bob was like a mechanic and his power was something that effected generators and maybe flashlights or something
That actually sounds credible.
Been watching for a while but this video really blew me away! The research, the editing, the timing and the jokes, amazing 🙏🙏
Hillbilly wasn't actually a farmer, his parents were farmers. He spent his life chained up in a room until he was strong enough to escape.

Maybe he could be a vengeful wood spirit who dares trespass on sacred ground or defile the woods in some way, or simply a boogeyman.
Would be interesting if they ever decide to go back and redo wraiths lore, putting him back to where he belongs and putting in a new killer in autohaven (with same lore as current wraith just altered to fit)
Ah yes because,
Wraith lore: *talks about the Nigerian civil war, a topic that never really is talked about in main stream media.*

One of my favourite DBD Channels 😌
I like to imagine autohaven belongs to a cut crossover with the movie "Christine." (the movie about a Plymouth that just, kills people)
This is like the 2nd video i've watched on this channel and I have to say: You're doing amazing work. Interesting facts, fascinating stories, backround knowledge, good research. I will leave a like now and watch some more of your work! ✨🤩
Just wanna drop to say I love the fact you use Silent Hill 2 music here, but the video is also done really well, keep up the good work!
4:52 I've only noticed it just now, but it looks like Claudette's shirt in this old promo art got readapted into Jonah's default shirt.
I don't even wanna think how much research u had to do, great video mintskull
Makes so much sense, It's a shame they scrapped him to be shoved in autohaven. I feel like I would have loved him way more if they kept his original lore. DAMN YOU MYERS! lol
DAMMIT MYERS, WHY COULDN'T YOU COME TO THE GAME A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE GAME WAS MADE!?
(No really, we need Bob & Beta Wraith)
19:24 *Wooden men* 🌳
I really wish the village map was in the game. It’s what the Knights map should’ve been. An outdoor map that’s crowded as you duck in and out of houses. Imagine Wraith’s old village, burned by the killing crews.
Finally! I was waiting so long for that video! And I absolutely love it :D
Maybe they can extend Wraiths love with Swamp rework, maybe instead of being taken by the entity right after murder of Azarow, he would wandered to the abandoned village map and live there, isolated from humanity, killing anyone who comes there in fear of them finding out who he is and what he did, and burring thier body's under the tree afterwards...
I love how much effort you put into these. It's amazing stuff
And in these picture we see what they have in common is big bird himself watching wraith performing a mori with approval.
This is my new favorite dbd video on all of youtube, crazy good job on te research, really no stone were left unturned lol
I think it would be pretty cool if they developed the village as a swamp realm and released it as a standalone map (bc we’ve been getting only a few maps now) and it could be tied to the archives with like a terra 396 wraith lore where he’s actually a monster, and make a legendary skin where he doesn’t have the white eyes bc he knows what he’s doing (though don’t know how they could make him look any more wooden than his existing skins) idk just something I thought about
Bro I am loving the editing on this!
Man, I would've loved to see his original lore! He's personally my 2nd favorite stealth killer, and it makes sense if he was actually from the swamp. His design doesn't fit autohaven at all, but is a really cool design
I never even realized Wraith was made out of bark, I thought he looked more like someone from Pompeii or something
Its a shame we did not get the village and the bloodwillow tree. Such a cool looking concept.
14:15 Well... That explains the cracky sound for his breathing.
So... probably is some kind of treant like creature "protecting" his swamp ir so.
Holy smokes you put so much effort into this vid. MintSkull would give the Observer a run gor his money with his DbD knowledge jeez. Great job 👏
this might explain why his lobby animations are so strange, if he was actually meant to be a hunter who excels in tracking, it would explain why he looks around his surroundings in the lobby
I legit thought he was like paranoid about something, I was like "dude, you're the killer, don't worry." But honestly this would make so much more sense.
extremely good content my dude
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed :D
His design has nothing to do with cars or machinery, which it should
Fantastic video! every point felt well researched and well proven to make a very compelling arguement!
I always wanted The Warith to be a wooden creature inhabited by some dark and ancient Spirt and the realm would be some spooky woods.
12:43 "the people that wronged him, and did him wrong." this is a good wording choice, as the words here were chosen goodly.
I was waiting for this comment 😂 I cringed really hard while editing the vid on this part but I could not remove that part without making the whole video sound weird so it stays

2:53 are you sure that's not just a barren version of Gas Heaven? The tall object to the right looks to be an antenna pole that wouldn't make sense being in a swamp.
The part with Wraith's lore was hilarious.
while "bob" looks a lot like michael myers, i thought the supposed "crawler" concept art bore a striking resemblance to the Witch from left 4 dead in stature, skin colour, hair and clothing. it seems likely to me a killer for the left 4 dead collab crossed their mind as they were proposing Bill and while the timeline doesn't quite add up seeing as she got added much earlier than Bill, Hag's beta name of "Witch" along with her body type and oversized claw hand make me wonder if there's more to it that only MintSkull could dig up.
Dude, awesome video, you earned a sub and I would love to se more your takes on the lore so I'll be watching your other vids for sure.

Man what an awesome work you did with this video! Thanks for bringing us all this lore and information
Also I love the main theme of Tomb Raider Anniversary that sounds on the "3th part of the puzzle" 😍
Bro he's... he's literally an African spirit of vengeance...
I'm sold, this makes so much sense. I kinda wish they just retconned it back to how it was and made a new killer for Autohaven lol
