Thank you Mick for this wonderful video. Brought back memories of a trip I done a few years ago. My first trip to Streaky Bay was way back in 1950, with my family. My Dad was born there (Calca) and spent much of his youth there. The Hotel is timeless hasn’t hardly changed from way back then. The roads of course are wonderful now in 1950, much of the road to Port Lincoln was sand. What wonderful memories you invoked for me. Thanks once again
OMG...give yourself a pat on the back Mick. On York Peninsula ...typed in Y.P and up popped reference to your travels...someone agrees with your followers - your vlogs are always interesting and informative Thank you💙 Jan Adelaide
Thank you for a great video, Mick, and the drone footage. It seems there have been so many changes and more facilities since I was there in 2013, even the facilities and camp ground at the Haystacks. I spent twelve weeks on that trip, it seems I could have spent the whole time around Streaky Bay. I think one of the early pioneers of either Streaky or Smokey Bay was a man called Betts from Suffolk, England, not far from where I live. Look forward to the next video
Used to be a regular @ Halley's with an old 3ply board....Until the day I was escorted to shallow water by 2 dolphins and on looking back was the enormous fin of a possible Great White....last time there for me as was many spots along that coast, being the home of the monster marine life.... That Bay of Islands Caravan park is very unique with the en-suite style facilities. OMG, the environs department sure have managed to equip the lookouts well with made safe walking platforms. memories once again Sally & Mick...thanks heaps. 👍
I love watching your videos because it gives me another reason to tide around Australia on a push bike for charity and soon I will be creating a UA-cam channel myself called James's big adventure
We are finding that we have to push ourselves to keep moving or we will run out of time to see what we have planned for the trip, totally enjoying the country here.🙂
Great trip again, a while since Ive been that way. A friend took me to Murphys haystacks without telling me what they were so you can imagine my laugh when I saw they were rocks. Thanks for the details about the roads too, its great for those of us who travel with 2wd vehicles, mind you my old ford has been a lot of places that I see are now designated 4wd. 🙂 cheers Cheryl
You mention about your Ford and the roads, it amazes me how often you hear that you must have a 4WD vehicle and an off road caravan to get to some spots. History shows us that things were very different and still achievable years ago with what we all had back then👍
That was a most enjoyable trip & I enjoyed all of it. I had to chuckle when you finished by saying... 'and you look after yourself!' This week I have managed to have two nasty falls thanks to my knee suddenly giving way & down you go. Such a shock to the system!! We had to get the ambulance this morning to get me up & it seems that I hurt myself trying to get up on my own. If not any better tomorrow then they may shove me in an ambulance to see if I broke or cracked a rib in my attempt to get up. Hopefully it isn't but it is definitely VERY SORE to touch & so painful moving. I am dreading trying to get into bed!
Streaky bay is supposedly the best area to live... Had a few work colleagues who lived there and traveled to Ceduna to do driver change overs for roadtrains across the paddock, or Adelaide. Best times of my life in SA and miss it heap, except SAPOL corruption... love your channel Mick, give my love to Sally too please (ex -wifes name, who i left behind 😢)
Wonderful scenery Mick, it must have been a quiet time of the year while you were on this trip, hardly a sole to be seen along the coastal scenic drive anyway .
Great job again. Beaut scenery and peaceful music. Thank you. 😊❤
The water scenery is so much better when the sun shines, we can watch it all day🙂
Mick & Sally thanks for sharing another great video much appreciated.

The Eyre Peninsula is a place we could spend many more week at than what we will have time for on this trip, just so much to see and do🙂
Be a nice place to live around there , great video cheers 🍻
Living this way would have some benefits for sure🙂

I think if we spotted a fin while out in the water, we would soon learn to run on water.😳

Glad you like them, you will have to let us know when you get the UA-cam up and running👌

Things can happen so fast and before long we can find ourselves in a great deal of pain. Hope you recover soon and get back to your normal self🙏👌
What a great part of Australia. Truly one of SA's best kept secrets is the Eyre Peninsula. looking forward to the next leg of your trip. 😄
Cheers, glad you enjoyed the video🙂

Great video. Hope to do this same trip in the next few weeks. Thanks for the information, 👍👍
Enjoy your trip when you do it, so much to see anywhere on the Peninsula.
nice
Thank you, glad you liked it👍

Some of the drives have been a little lonely although the weather hasn't been the best on some days.
???
Why the question marks?
