Still wished he got away with it. I never liked Fox's character here especially since from what I remember he was a sleazy lawyer who didn't care, until something bad was happening that would affect his career.
I didn't like that Hypocrite either. but consider this. Clyde had nothing left to live for. his loved ones are gone. all he had left is anger and pain. I wouldn't want to live in that situation. He wanted to show to hypocrite that making a deal with Murderer (Demon) is dangerous. that was his goal. that's why Clyde didn't kill Nick(Fox) even he had chances for 10 years (including number of times he could kill Nick in the movie) Clyde wasn't thinking about surviving for himself.
@@roll3park143 If sequel rumors are true, it would be interesting to see the prosecutor's newfound conviction (no pun intended) challenged and under pressure from who or whatever the plot would be, assuming it's the same character and they got a real writer in it lol.
Although it is said by some, that the movie was too violent/gross...I believe most of the ppl who didn't like it, was because of the Jamie Foxx character. What I didn't like the most was, that it was unconvincing HOW the last scene happened. It should have been credible if they knew about his hideout BEFORE the threat was executed. Have some ppl tail him & find the bomb, while Jamie & the cops stayed and trapped him. I understand the reason for changing the outcome; but it was poorly, very poorly done. Maybe it was a change done in a hurry.
For some reason, I find the mirror thing the most disturbing part of all. The thought of seeing yourself getting cut to little pieces is too much for me.
I read that Jaime Fox insisted on a rewrite making him "win" and kill the real hero of this movie. If true, Fox ruined this and kept it from being a huge hit
When he had him on that stretcher or whatever he had him laying on and he couldn't move at all Darby knew he was fucked and then having to watch him cut you into pieces my God
1:30 - Steven, my man! Those are the moments were you extend your arms and reach out for your girl. Before VHS/DVD was mainstream, this was the reason many slasher movies were being seen by young couples in theaters back then. Was the movie awful? Who cared! The questions you would actually asked your friends were in the line of: "Did you had a good time?"
I dunno... Gerard Butler was the best in this, I don't think we could feel as much empathy for another actors portrayal of a similar character. But hey, who knows? It might be even better somehow

This is a movie where everybody was cheering for the bad guy to win.
Clyde was not the bad guy.

Yeah I'm glad he grew a pair at the end but yeah if he hadn't done some of the other messed up stuff I would have been rooting for him all the way.
I didn't like that Hypocrite either.

@@Tuberiascaesara "real writer" is like unicorns
You touch my family, you lucky if you get off this light - what an absolute hero of a man
In the unrated version of law abiding citizen, they show Clyde cutting Darby’s leg off.
i was on his side the whole way. the justice system screwed him. his perpetrators went free and nobody gave af!!!
For some reason, I find the mirror thing the most disturbing part of all. The thought of seeing yourself getting cut to little pieces is too much for me.
It's supposed to be disturbing
He want him to suffer every possible way
The actor Christian Stolte that played Darby, also plays Mouch on Chicago Fire. He's like the most loveable character on that show. Lol
He seems like a real good guy in real life from what I've seen. Pity this was the first role I saw him in.
Just shows how incredible an actor he is ❤
As Elvira said it best, "Revenge is sweeter than christmas." This is a clear case of revenge in its purest form.
The women seem to like the torture more than the men. 😂😂😂
That’s called JUSTICE!

Is it wrong of me to feel the hero of this movie died in the end?
nope!! TEAM CLYDE
Darbys actor becomes Mouch on Chicago Fire
When you kill a mans family well this could happen the guy did deserve it though but man that was beyond brutal
New movie idea Tobin Bells’ John Kramer verses Gerard Butlers’ Clyde Shelton
We become a family man. We aren't born that way.
Guess what people? There’s a sequel to this movie in development
It would have to be totally different characters and such.
@@Tuberiascaesar yeah probably
I'm not sure that current Hollywood can make something like that

It was good to see the difference between the alphas and the betas. If you love your family would you be a sad little whiner closing your eyes?
i like it when butler is bad!His positive characters are getting more and more samey and uninteresting.remember him as a vampire?cool!! ☠️
Man, you have to admit, you love a good revenge porn movie. This was great.
Mr. Sinister 😈
Law abiding citizens moral of the story is don't be a dick bag.
"Hey, dude, don't be a Darby!"
I'm maybe one of the few that absolutely loved how the movie ended. Same with the ending of How I Met Your Mother. Perfection lol
Almost a good movie. Until the ending. Jamie Foxx ruined the whole movie!
Great movie done in by a lousy ending.
Thank snuff mouth Jamie Foxx for that.
These reactor reactions are getting really random now.
People requested it 🤷♂ Got any requests?

I think Bisscute enjoyed this scene a little to much, but I gotten admit payback is a bitch. 🦾
If you're evil enough to go around killing children you need to get payback before you even commit the crime.
