"A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended." Hands down one of the best trilogies of all time - and as a Nolan and Hans Zimmer fanboy I'm totally not biased...
This makes me miss 2012 so much. When you thought life was hard but it really wasn’t and you look back at it now and realize it was the most fun and non serious time of your life. When you had more…..freedom. I hope the world can eventually get back to these kind of days again. It just gets more depressing as time goes on. Or is it just nostalgia that makes us think this. 🤔
I too share the same opinion as you. I am still juggling the ideas around but I feel it has to do with the fact that we as a society take things for granted and cannot enjoy the simplest stuff. As kids, it's always those simplest things that spark that sense of joy, and for us to reap those joy we had hurdles to tackle. Here by 'hurdles' I am referring to those things that provide us a sense of meaning after overcoming them and that nourish us mentally, physically, and emotionally. I feel nowadays things have started to take a turn, we are realizing what is missing out and actively working toward it. An example would be in the music and gaming industry, where everything is flashy and has no quality at all. But things are now turning around and hopefully, we will arrive at that beautiful era. P.S Nostalgia plays an important role.
I agree with you. We are always focused on the past. Looking back while we are walking forward at the same time and with that problem causes us to run into things we weren’t prepared for because we aren’t paying attention to what’s in front of us (present) and then by the time we start to focus on that present time, it is then in the past in a flash. It’s a constant cycle of us trying to keep up because we keep looking back while our bodies are moving forward. Unfortunately I think it may always be this way as us humans mainly focus on the familiar and not the unknown. Where we are more about what’s comfortable rather than what uncomfortable that we have to adjust to. We are emotional creatures so I think Nostalgia is one of the main things that controls our lives. But on the flip side, time heals everything so any bad thing or mistake in the past always gets better and every bland and boring thing in the past always becomes loved and praised as times goes on. Kind of like a movie. Lots of movies people didn’t care for or think much of. Example: The Dark knight Rises. Everyone was more focused and praising the second one because of the joker but now that it’s years later I’m starting to see more of more people on UA-cam hail it……as you said, because we take the present for granted.
@@Redsnowman04Yes I completely agree with that analogy. Meditation, bullet journaling, and wanting to experience new things at the same time being satisfied with what you have, are some of those habits and mindsets that are helping me now.
In 2012, the world ended. The sudden shock and trauma of an abrupt end to billions of lives was unprecedented and... unquantifiable.. So much so that in the afterlife, many of us have gone on to unconsciously create illusory lives akin to our pre-death life. The consciousness was shaken so violently, we reject where we are, why we are and what happened to us. Every now and then, emissaries are sent to gently (not forcefully) give us subtle hints that we have passed on. Awareness and acceptance is key. For some, this transition is easy... for others, not so much... So they continue to live out false lives imitating their pre-death states. Comfortable lies vs uncomfortable truths. If you're reading this, count this as yet another gentle hint. It's time to move on.
Better. Every day, I strive to be better. It doesn't mean I'll ever be perfect; it doesn't mean I'll ever get it right. It simply means that I will progress every day. Even when it doesn't feel like we've succeeded, another step forward is another step toward a new world, a better world, but only if that's what we strive for.
When we find purpose, dream to be achieved... Life become much different from the rest of the society That's what it's like to become something YOU want Not the society was designed to be
So awesome, I really feel like I'm in Gotham and have all this weight on my shoulder as a hero like batman does to save the city. If u haven't but could you do one for Kevin Conroy's batman as a tribute to his passing think that would be really cool to listen to
“Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.”
