To propagate Monstera Adansonii select a healthy and green stem with no signs of disease with at least one or two nodes and a few leaves. Nodes are essential as roots will grow from these points.
Use sharp, clean scissors or pruning shears to make the cut.Disinfect your pruning shears.
,cut just below a node. Ensure the cutting is atleast 4-6 inches long with a couple of leaves attached.Eeven one leaf is fine.Remove any leaves that are too close to the cut end, ensuring that the nodes are exposed.
The cutting will use its resources to form roots, thats why its important to get rid of the excess leaves. one or 2 leaves are enough. Fill a small container or vase with water and place the cutting in it, ensuring the nodes are submerged but the leaves are above the suraface of water.
