    Amazing that all the new parts still fit in that old model.

    Very good of the company to continue making the guts needed to keep the old ones running.. they obviously support Right To Repair.👌👌👌

    After watching video of you for quite a few times I finally decided to you make me think of Gene from Bob's Burgers he's grown up and now he's obsessed with KitchenAid mixers.... Strangely enough I could see this working for that character too.

    Great video, is there a reason not to put back in the original gears, I find the original gears including the fiber gear to be of impeccable quality and so much better than the new ones. I have only restored my collection never updated any of them with new electronics. Something for me to think about.

    OH THANK GOD
    I suspect I will have to do the same to my 1960's Hobart K5A. I couldn't find a good brushed-motor replacement diagram or video to save my life.

    Have you ever adjusted the eccentric shaft and tumbler yoke to decrease noise? If yes, any advice should be helpful
    The manual just says to basically turn in or out to lowest noise level. I think there is more to it.

    In this video you do a rebuild for a fixed head, but your parts list only has a tilt head rebuild kit. Is there a fixed head rebuild kit?

    • @MrMixer316
      @MrMixer316  2 місяці тому

      It depends on what style of mixer you have. We do offer this rebuild kit for the pro 600 & pro 5 plus models. www.mrmixer.store/store-2den3/p/rebuild-kit-for-pro-600pro-5-plus

    I took my hobart K45SS apart to grease it. Putting it back together it has no power. What have I done wrong? Where can I get new gaskets for this model?

    • @MrMixer316
      @MrMixer316  2 місяці тому

      @@caroladkins3407 we have the gaskets available on our website mrmixer.store, did you remove the carbon brushes from under the little plastic caps on the side? If so they are not aligned properly, we have a video on the carbon brushes

    I have a similar KitchenAid K5A that needs a new electric cord as the grey outer plastic is cracking. Is it possible to only get the 2 prong cord replaced? My house is old and I have no 3 prong outlets so i would prefer to stay with a 2 prong cord.

      @robertknight4672 3 місяці тому +1

      He has a video of replacing the two prong cord with a modern 3-prong cord. As far as the outlet in your house is concerned one thing you could do is get one of those three prong adapters. If you live in the United States. I don't know where those adapters are illegal in Canada. Alternatively you could have an electrician install the GFCI outlet and have him label it as no equipment ground what do you want to plug in the mixer.

    You need at least a solid day relaxing with your nuts after that injury.
