You should do a series where a pro and an amateur collaborate on a project together. Like a legendary producer and someone who’s been playing guitar for a year make a song together. Or a professional painter and a new painter do a mural together. It’d be like a mentorship and learning experience combined with seeking ways to make something that will utilize both the simple work of the amateur and the expert work of the professional.

I understand that you guys try to make the performance more aesthetic with all the different cuts and angles, but it really takes away from the performance as a whole rather than enhancing it. You don't have to have a fixed camera, but the cuts definitely do no help in any way, since it requires the us to reorient our focus, and during that time, we miss out on some movements. Also, zooming the camera into the dancers is not good idea when it cuts parts of their bodies out of the frame. This, again, makes the performance worse when we can't see other movements that sync to the music. We should be able to see both dancers in their entirety during the entire performance unless it is intentional to draw our attention to something extremely specific. The camera work in this video, though, was a large improvement from the last dance video.
yes. i can't remember if it was gene kelly or fred astaire who insisted that his whole body was always in the frame when he was filmed dancing. but it's essential when filming dance.
I stopped commenting about it because inspire of the numerous comments on this, they have not changed this.
I didn't notice it before, but I realized that it lightly annoys me that I can't see their foot work. If this was some romantic short film, focusing on their faces and the way they look at each other would be important. Since this is a video specifically about dance styles, the objective is for us to see their body movements. Focusing on their upper bodies takes away from our experience of their dance. The first time I watched this I didn't even notice the moment they lowered themselves to the ground because the camera distance is spacially distracting...
Also, I noticed the flash of a mirror in the background and realized what a wonderful opportunity they missed there...

What an interesting song choice. As a musician, I was wondering what kind of music would be ideal for this style mix, and the song they chose really surprised me. It fits the street dancer vibe while being a little bit slower than what he's used to so that the ballerina can move freely. Amazing. I know for fact I would've spent most of the time discussing which song to use.

It's that moment she is walking away from him with her fingers twitching at her temple, isn't it? I find that to be the most interesting part of their dance.

I want to hip hop but i also re8alise i was inspired by several dancers but the people who really inspired me did contemporary first and so integrated into hip hop it looked super snooth. So i want to learn some contemporary first. At least for a solid year then I'll start hip hop while i continue contemporary
