Well we waited 40 years for for dungeon and dragons animated series action figures and ........there ok .......actually there great and will look cool in any collection yes the articulation could be better but these feel like figures we could have opened Christmas morning back 40 years ago and been blown away.

Hasbro have alot to learn as regards a decent articulated figure that's for sure. Still nice release figures tho.

I think the sculpts are great and I quite like the retro feel. As you say, we’ve been waiting a long time for these. Can’t wait to open mine for Christmas 🤗

Great review, but Venger is pronounced with a soft G, like Avenger, revenge or dungeon.
Yep I guess I just have a strange accent sorry
My copy of Venger got 2 Right Arms. It's not really noticeable because of the shoulder drapes but it does hamper Left Shoulder articulation.
They really seem to have made some big mistakes with this set !! Let's hope the last 3 figures come out OK 👍
They scale well together. I am liking this Venger & Dungeon Master.. And yeah, be better if this set was cheaper. Or for the price come with extras like extra heads both characters. Or even a solid transparent piece for Vengers’ ‘Spy’ The Shadow Demon. But the way I see it, once I got the main characters I’m done. Till them I have a space on the shelf for when I get them.
Its a top price set but I just had to have it .....hasbro take my money !!
More accessories would have been great I thought a rock for dungeon master to stand on would have been cool

I had figures as a kid and they was from a board game called fantasy forest.
Wow you are right, those are a disappointment. I could save a bit of money and 3d print the dungeon master and get the same thing. But I will end up getting them to have the set.. Now we wait and see if Presto, Sheila, and Eric get made.. Wonder if we will get a Tiamat. I imagine if we do, its gonna be over priced.
I think they are selling well enough to get the rest of the team but wow a Tiamat would be fantastic but how expensive would they make it !!!
Its a shame that these two cost so much there nice but not worth the price.......I really need a 3D printer !!
I really hope we get the remaining figures. It doesn't appear that any of these figures sold out anywhere. You should check out the Iron Studios figurines/statues. They are amazing!! One of my favorite things in my collection.
It would be a shame not to get all the characters. They are getting a lot of attention on my channel but people don't seem happy with them and the dungeon master/Venger set I also reviewed are over priced for what they are. Those iron studios statues do look great
The backdrop serves as a screen for the DM in a AD&D campaign. It features the pan shot artwork from the cartoon end credits. Pretty neat idea but the folding as you said looks somewhat wonky. I'm sure that helped constitute the inflated price of the set. It seems we're long past the days of this being an $18.99 figure with a small pack-in figure and few accessories at retail. $50 seems to be the new $20. Bollocks.
The price for these figures is a problem for a lot of people they are over priced for the retro style of them. These prices are more neca but they would have made a much detailed figure with accessories. We have waited a lifetime for this and we will have to "make do"
The screen is nice but that definitely needed to be folded differently
It's Venger not Venga. As in Vengeance. Not one of the Vengaboys.

Whoah !, Venger certainly put up a fight didn't he ?. Lol. I'm a little disappointed with this set, what with Dungeon Master's inaccurate face & Venger looking off the side instead of straight on.I find it limits the posing options. I wil still be getting them all as I love the cartoon. Having said that, i reckon once the full team are all standing together on the shelf they will look awesome. I agree this is going to be a great set on your shelf and venger wasn't the most action posse kind of character. It's a great cartoon series and I'm glad we have finally got some figures !

@@Returnoftherocketman I agree. It would've been cool to see Neca versions of Dungeons & Dragons as they've done such a great job with Defenders of the Earth.
Neca have the rights to the old action figures series relating to the board game but they would have made great figures of the cartoon series that's for sure !!

My Venger feet are pointed down and I and afraid it will break if I force them straight.
Try putting his feet in very hot water it may loosen them up a bit but be very careful !!

I will say I do like the figures .....but I'm disappointed in the quality and the price !
I love Dungeons & Dragons and am happy to finally have figures.
But am now considering cancelling this set after your video. There not close to £50 of value here. This is ridiculously overpriced. Dungeon Master is pretty much a pack-in, so Venger for £50 is incredibly insulting!
I have to agree this set is way over priced but this is something that hasbro is doing with most figures now. I don't blame you if you cancel hopefully hasbro lurn that we aren't happy with there pricing

The kids are a bit expensive but I have waited 40 years for these figures so I have to buy them now. £50 is far to much for just one figure like you say
Next time put the figure in hot water before you move the stiff joints. That price is way to expensive. They should’ve made them separately. Dungeon Master doesn’t look like himself & the packaging sucks! What happened to the character with the black hair? They didn’t make him?
They still need to make the other 3 characters. They got a hot bath straight after
slight retro feel, more like cutting corners. Check the Diana figure, you will notice that she has rotating thighs on the packaging

While I’m happy these figures have finally arrived after 40 years, I agree they’re just not close to being right.
IMO they’re neither retro enough to be convincing (the lazy digital sculpts give them away I think) and blend in with the original AD&D line; nor as you say modern enough to stand up against Black Series etc…
A real wasted opportunity, but hopefully one that precedes multiple license holders - Super 7 / Four Horsemen, thank you please - releasing multiple ‘ultimates’ versions, once and for all! So close and yet so many miles away :(
In fact I got an AD&D figure in the post today (“Deeth”, I think), and while its articulation might be dog-toffee and the sculpt basic, it’s still so very much more charming than any of these offerings. If you’re going to do retro, do it properly, and the same goes for modern - get it right Hasbro, it ain’t rocket science.

I really wish someone like neca had made these figures the animated/comic book tmnt figures they are making are the style these needed to be . Hasbro are producing low quality action figures but expecting us to pay high quality prices. The dungeon master two pack is insulting at such a high price for two limited articulated figures. At $15 dollars these would have been expensive but there nearly double that.
Hopefully someone else gets the licence soon and makes the figures we have wanted for 40 years. Thank you for watching
I wonder what else Neca have up their sleeve? Their upcoming AD&D figures look amazing - can you imagine cartoon figs done in that style? It’s not so far-fetched when you consider the recent GI Joe (Hasbro / Super 7) offerings, or the crazy amount of TMNT figs out there. Licensing appears to be far less exclusive these days, let’s keep ‘em crossed!
When I saw those neca AD&D was so hopefull that we would get some animated series figures. I think the series rights belong to a different company than the board game so hopefully we could get something better from super7 or neca eventually

I do try to be positive about the figures I buy but yes these are over priced. They feel cheap i am getting tired of hasbro making kids toys and expecting us to pay collectible prices. Neca make animated tmnt that look amazing for only a little bit more money.
I also didn't wanna be negative but they were a huge letdown. I have Bobby and while he looks great and the scale looks good next to my custom Masterverse barbarians, the articulation is garbage. I don't know why they even bothered giving him ugly joints if the elbows don't move at all! No removable gear. As you stated, looks like a Happy Meal toy and not a 25 dollar collectible. 10-15 bucks would've been reasonable
I have to say I agree they should have made figures better than this particularly at the price they charge. hasbro think there making figures like mezco ..............
