I agree it is better and easier method to get the cards out however, I feel it exposes too much of the card to possible scratches and damage. I think this may be the reason The Ridge only exposes a small portion of the corner. It’s cost is close to The Ridge so I think this one is a toss up.
Made in the USA is a big selling point. I tried to find out where Ridge wallets are manufactured and they seemed a little evasive. It took three tries at the "contact us" email link to find out they are made in China. I ordered my Geogrit after finally receiving the reply from Ridge.

Bingo! Made in the USA was all it took from me!
The only gripe with the Geo Grit is that when you put your card back in, you tend to put it in chip first. Then, the chip is at the thumb spot.
