Worms Armageddon is a 2D artillery turn-based tactics video game developed by Team17 and part of the Worms series. The player controls a team of up to eight worms in combat against opposing teams either AI- or player-controlled, using weapons both based on real-life weapons and ones that are cartoonish. The player can customize battles, teams, and maps for near-infinite gameplay options.
Originally meant to be an expansion pack to Worms 2 and initially titled Wormageddon, Worms Armageddon was released as a standalone game initially for PCs in 1999 and has since been ported to other platforms; the game was also released on Steam on 20 March 2013. The game was met with positive critic reviews, with gameplay receiving praise, and placed on several lists of the greatest games of all time.

The comeback after losing 3 worms with 1 kamikaze was insane
At first I was like "dang, he just took out 3 with that kamikaze!" But he -lost two in the process so it only put him ahead by 1 worm- also took out a landmine that I mistook for a friendly worm.
@@DirtySouthSOHK How did he lose two? It was 3 greens for 1 blue, making it net 2 kills.
@@Steror lol I'm dumb. During my insomnia induced UA-cam binge, I somehow failed to distinguish a landmine from a worm. Pretty embarrassing, but I was completely wrong!

Worst design choice ever. I've played every worms game (bought worms 1 on the day of release) and it's been this way since the beginning I think. Whyyyyyy. Enter is NEVER jump anywhere else. I guess they just stuck to their guns...
You haven't played Worms unless you tried to jump and fired a bazooka at your feet.

Can you explain why that was a misplay? I only played this game as a kid
@@ultralysp Because the teleported worm had only 10 HP and even though green had to waste a whole turn getting out, blue's next attack was the other worm, not the teleported one, so teleporting next to green's worm was basically sending it to die
The complete miss on the fire punch about half way through wasn't very impressive.
@@vruatsa I mean the sheep is really what outplayed blue in the end, green was thinking a step ahead.
I remember the Holy bomb used to be ultra hilarious for my brother and me 😂 great game, great childhood. 👍🏼

How do you know it's a pro playing? They manage to squeeze 97 damage out of a cluster grenade by itself. The "I'm not gonna land that throw so I may as well try to get 5 damage in" grenade.
Knowing how to actually use a cluster grenade only shows that they're not recreational players.
Also, being able to aim the shotgun in just the right place to make an opening at a reachable height and big enough width. Or get the precise angle for shots to make sure the other worm just sinks.
The timing of that ninja rope at 13:22 my guy hooked the TIP of the ledge.

@@user-mv2pr6fl8x у меня и стим и пиратка. Если пиратку качать то только последнюю версию, для комфортной игры.
Для того чтобы без проблем создавать свои хост то рекомендую скачать модуль WormNAT2 и закинуть его в папку с игрой, а затем в настройках игры поставить галочку для активации модулей.
Первый матч который вижу профессионалов в эту игру. Тарзанкой в полёте попадать так это жесть.
Блин, Армагеддон офигенная игра, приятно осознавать что в неё ещё играют.

I didn't know people still played Worms. I feel like I mastered the original, but the sequels never had quite the same level of appeal.

I loved this game as a child.
The downside was that I only played alone (wich make its kinda lonely sometimes) but it was fun nevertheless.
I liked to create teams and I would put every worm to have 250 hp.
Also I didnt went far on the missions, couldn't pass the eiffel tower one. I keep the big box the cd came in for a long time, the art of this game is amazing.

It MAY be over 20 years since I played clan level WA (and admittedly I ended up specialising in rope matches) but is it REALLY normal to have random placement? I seem to remember standard was to have placement selection on.
Either way, I fooking loved this game and this was great to watch :D
I was rooting for the Greek Worms from the start. Great game! Also, my tactic is to always have one worm extremely well hidden, usually with the use of the blowtorch. Very surprised of the aggressiveness of the plays here!!

I never realized "Worms: Armageddon" brought the series back to what the original game was, with keeping graphical and sound upgrades to a minimum, which is great, so now I have to play this game.
I could be wrong as I've barely played many Worms games but I think Armageddon is the definitive one.
Pro player are something else entirely, such good plays

This game is so much better than the sequels.
The only thing missing(as far as I'm aware, and I'm not aware of pretty much anything on Armageddon community) is a major mod that adds the vehicle framework so the WMD doesn't have anything unique but hats and crafting.
