As someone who has been in combat, you got many of the emotions and elements of war. Sometimes all a warrior can do is their best and walk into hell , well done to all involved.
This was fantastic. One of my biggest issues with Picard S3, as much as I enjoyed it, was how it's lore pertaining to the Enterprise-F and subsequently the Enterprise-G completely contradicted STO's. But this, this did an exemplary job of filling in the gaps and rectifying that issue. The fact that the Frontier Day incident was mentioned here. I had personally worked it out in my own headcanon that for reason or reasons unknown by 2409 the Enterprise-G had either been renamed back to Titan-A or "disappeared under mysterious circumstances" resulting in the Enterprise-F being put back into service under Captain Shon. Nice to see someone else sharing that sort of idea.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂 Our writer Jed actually did a series of very short “canon welder” prose stories that explored that idea in the wake of Picard Season 3, and those form the basis of our background on that detail.
I remember the battle of midnight, and I think I know how it ended, but I don’t know if I’m allowed to say; I mean, staff never put me under oath, about what I saw, but just in case, I’ll just say I was scanning for tachyons when the battle ended, and leave it at that.
I was throughly captivated. I am left most curious and not a little suspicious of the circumstances leading to the cease of hostilities. I definitely would like to see more.
It shows how good a production is when the only niggle I can mention is that the Captain's uniform didn't seem to fit very well. Maybe I'm just used to Capt Picard being the model of a leader, and only ever needing to slightly adjust his uniform at a point of emphasis. Interesting use of the ships and tying in their histories. I had wondered even before Geordi rebuilt the D if there'd ever be a situation when Starfleet would use every available ship, including those in the museum and scrapyards. I expected that to be more for battles against the Borg or Dominion. If I remember the quote correctly it's no plan survives *first* contact with the enemy. I think that it's that so as to imply how you adapt a plan. Obviously it'd be fun to slip in a "First Contact" reference anyway. 🙂
Aye, the uniform is a £30 cosplay top so honestly it’s a miracle it looks as good as it does 😂 Joys of zero budget filmmaking. Really glad you enjoyed the film. 😁
Thank you so much 😁 The documentary style is one that’s been done a few times, so we wanted our first Trek fan film effort to be in that style, sort of prove we could do it.
I'm sorry but I despise the STO story line. If it's not TV or Movie it's not canon and I don't want anything to do with it and there are many more like me. I'm not saying this was not very well done because it was its I just don't like STO.

A Masterpiece of lore and character.

Got to love the use of the phrase "Signs and Portents" 🙂
Interesting stuff! Very intriguing! - and covering a portion of the computer generated ' Star Trek ' adventure! Hmm very clever indeed!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 🙂🖖

Actually no battle plan doesn't survive Inception! Intact! Nothing goes to plan! Especially if it has to change on the spot!
