Thanks for watching, everybody! To those of you asking in the comments - the words WHERE and WEAR have exactly the same pronunciation, which is why I didn't mention WEAR in the video. Stay safe x
I swear on law, you’re reading my mind!! Just yesterday night I was struggling with reading out loud “were” and I though why there’s no lesson about it?? And here you are! Best teacher ever 🤩🤩🤩
All these sounds are very hard to be pronounced by Portuguese speakers. However with your classes my English pronunciation is getting better and better. You are the best teacher ever. Thanks very much indeed, Elliot!
I'm your student from Syria Listening to you even without understanding makes me feel that my British accent is getting better I wish you could give us two lessons a week 🌹🌹🌹✌️

this was great advice i personally struggled with the word weird, i love how you split it into two weir - d . it made it easy for me to recall and say!!!
Very helpful, thanks 😌 if you're ever struggling with the topic for a lesson, there's one thing I can't quite catch in British English pronunciation which is the kind of a 'softened' consonant before - o and - oo in words like 'going', 'look', 'good', maybe even in 'no' (compared with 'nut' for example). It seems different from the hard consonant in 'mood', 'gosh' etc. Or these are just personal variations 🤔 This sort of a question) thanks again
Many thanks for your teaching, it's important for me, cause I have been confused always. Gracias por enseñarnos, esto es muy importante para mi porque me.ha generado confusiones siempre
Hello you won't probably notice this comment, but, hey mate thank you so much, you're a brilliant teacher. Well today was a marvelous day actually I was speaking with a friend of mine he's British he told me that I was sounding like a southern British person would do. I was genuinely excited about it, and, this was because of you man. Slight note: I am from Colombia although I've been speaking English for 7 years now but I had Moreover an American accent . you my mate have done something that in words I can't thank you enough From the bottom of my heart thanks.
Hello Elliot from ETJ English. Your video this particular one is tremendously good. My example sentence " Where the weird people who are learning how to pronounce the words " where, we're and weird " are now? " Excellent method, Elliot. 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
Hi Elliott! Yes, all of your lessons are extremely useful and I would like to take the opportunity and thank you for helping us improving our English! I've found your channel only a few days ago and quickly got addicted to it. I'd also like to thank you for a live session you did about 3 years ago regarding 'procrastination' - that was absolutely brilliant and I think we all need a reminder on that subject from time to time! So yeah, keep up the good work and of course, stay safe!
Me: I know how to pronounce all these words perfectly, I have been leraning English for 35 years Also me: Breaking my tongue trying to repeat the last sentence after Elliot
I’m a native speaker from the metro New York area and I have to say I was confused about the words were & where when I was in high school (I didn’t even realize about we’re at the time). I asked my sister who was 3 years older and I looked up to & she was wrong. In our defense when we were growing up we weren’t really taught English grammar too much as long as we could write creatively that was more important than proper spelling or grammar - writing creatively was more the focus many of our teachers were more counter culture and rejecting the strictness from the 1950s.
Sir I just watched your only two videos and I just can't wait to subscribe your channel , and from that I started watching your videos daily . GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY . AMEN
