Never mind, haha. I just went to your channel after leaving the other comment. This is amazing. I can make my much dreamed of 1kw servos. This is perfect.
Hi, I have been trying to run the motor using vesc for some time now, but I am not sure what I am missing here. I am able to run the motor with FOC sensorless mode quite well, but when I am changing to sensor mode with ABI sensor, my motor is locked at max rpm. Irrespective of the erpm I am giving to run it, it just runs at max rpm. Other thing I have noticed is in the real time data plots for erpm, the value just shows close to 1, whereas all other plots like FOC, current seem to be fine. Is there any suggestion you can give me on this? Thanks
Where can I buy three fully assembled units, ready to go? I have a 3-axis position control application that I am currently installing BLDC in lieu of brushed DC motors where this would seem to be a perfect fit.
How do you send the esc the required position without resorting to a PC? I mean, if I want the position to be set by a CNC controller, can I do that with the VESC?
Impressive! Is it possible to set the homing position autmatically on powerup with an external magnet and hall sensor for example? What it the maximum end to end postions possible / how many revolutions?
I see the motor needs to find the index pulse on the incremental encoder. Would it be possible to use an absolute encoder without too much coding or modifications?
+Ryan Willis I've been hoping for this ever since I discovered the VESC a year ago or so. I think they have a ton of promise outside of the e-vehicle world, and am working a couple projects to do exactly that. Essentially overthrows the cost of entry to the previous thousands or many thousands of dollars industrial servomotor market.
Josh Geating Brushless RC-vehicle-part-based power systems are the way of the future. Cheap batteries, cheap motors, awesome VESC controllers... It's all falling into place.
Hey Benjamin, I would like to control my skateboard with an app,so far the arduino works, bluetooth works but I have a lot trouble with PPM signal from the VESC. Please Help and I will make a donation shortly.

Could you please confirm the connections for the AMT102-V encoder in terms of A, B , X on the encoder side and H1, H2, H3, T on the VESC side?

Imponerande att du fått till autodetektering av motorparametrarna
is it possible to give the same feature to general esc module?
You can make one good comparative study versus selsyn motors. Data device has some good devices for robotics.
I nerd more current tô controll a big motor brushless in to 200 anos, How can do a modify a vesc hardware from 50 anos tô 200amps?
I can control the position. Along with the speed control?
Can it be no cogging at very lower speed?
Very impressive.
Really impressive!
I see a rash of robotics projects in the not-too-distant future utilizing VESCs and hobby-grade motors instead of more expensive power systems.
+Ryan Willis I can't wait for the VESC to be scaled up and down for this reason. I just hope it also gets cheaper as it gets more popular.
Agreed. I keep thinking how great a little 20-amp version would be for quadcopters and the like, or a 100+amp one for larger electric vehicles.

Awesome!
