    When your wife says she wants a few of your fries, you are screwed. I learned to order two fries with my burger early in our marriage. It has worked for 45 years.

      @@Kelle0284 Only when she says she isn’t hungry, but I can hit a drive thru.
      After double checking, to make sure that she does not want anything.
      Once I hit the road she will snack on my fries. Then says the burger looks good.
      A few times she will say something like you should have gotten a fish filet meal. My response is I don’t like fish filet meals.
      Once I order a large fry, two large drinks and one burger and one fish filet.
      She said that she wasn’t hungry. Then got mad because I don’t like to share my food.

      It's uncommon but not entirely unheard of in first generation Noveau Riche. They tend to pull this from time to time in order to root out problems. However, second generation and others do tend to hide int their towers.
      There was a founder of a restaurant chain who pulled this in order to determine his successor. Dressed up as a homeless guy and checked to see if any of his restaurants would give charity to him. He promoted the one who did.

      @jimjackson5544 Рік тому +2

      Be real careful doing that as you will open yourself up to legal action if you do 'warn' anyone about an employee that you terminated. You will also open yourself to the same legal issues IF you tell anyone who calls you for a reference that you terminated them. It's just not worth the expense to try to defend yourself!!!

    • @Gr3nadgr3gory
      @Gr3nadgr3gory Рік тому +2

      @jimjackson5544 that's not termination. That's being a reference for their quality of work. They haven't gotten past the hiring process yet. In the long run if my competition WANTS to have a toxic work environment I'm all for letting them suffer. I'll just send their good employees a job offer.
      Sorry, misread. Can't sue me for defamation when their actions are well documented and factual. Especially if you live in an "at will" employment state.

    As smn who works in a smtms stressful office environment, I have to play the devil's advocate here.
    Karen was doing her job, as a manager in this situation.
    Yes, she was rude and drunk with power, but as a CEO, since you need ppl who wrangle cats on a regular basis you shouldn't have just fired her. What you should have done is send her to sensitivity/ leadership training.
    Your managers are not just assholes because they are cutthroat dickbags, who crawl as far as they can.
    They are also that because they are the bridge between the working class and leadership.
    they have to manage you and all your problems while ensuring productivity stays up and work gets done.
    What the CEO did here to satisfy his own curiosity must have disrupted the workflow.
    That intern probably had things to do, and for a MANAGER to get an INTERN that must have been smtng that caused real problems down the line.
    So if this guy had been a responsible leader he wouldn't just fired her, but made sure she is on a shorter leash and sent on management training.
