No offense to bellof, he’s a great driver but his car being a N/A v8 gave him an advantage in the rain, since all the turbo cars are driving slowly in the rain so they ain’t using all their turbo power while bellof has more instant power with N/A engine.

Actually this „presented“ victory by Prost did cost him the world championship. If they went on racing, Prost would have finished 2nd or 3rd (at the end 2nd anyways because Bellof/Tyrell got disqualified later) and he would have got 6 (full) championship points instead of 4,5 (half) for his victory.
@no body agreed, but Ayrton Senna wouldn‘t have made it to the two-hour-mark either. His left front suspension was damaged. The red flag didn‘t cost him the victory, it saved him a second place.

Maybe because he was a French driver on a Porsche car? In those years the French leaders of FIA were disgustingly open about their pro France and pro Prost politics. In the end that made Senna's victories only more legendary. That year Prost lost the world title to Lauda for the Monaco affair.

there is only one question: what if the psycho were reversed and it was Prost instead of Senna? would the leadership end the race?
Senna’s car wouldn’t have made the full race distance due to the damage when he hit the kerb at 3.00.
