  • According to all the 'experts' in the forums this is impossible on a CNC and you should just not bother!
That's right, 1050 that horrible sticky, really difficult to mill ordinary everyday aluminium, being cut like a hot knife through butter with non of the messy burrs and drama.
It isn't difficult, whilst not every CNC machine may achieve these speeds, and there are many factors to consider in that regard from spindle to machine design, hold down method and more, investment in the right bits however makes all the difference.
Invest in some single flute DLC or Superior coated bits, they maybe a few $ more but they make all the difference. We've now tested both discount and middle of the road priced options and they still work very well. The time saving and clean cuts make them better value.
Conventional Cut or Climb Cut for an even nicer finish, straight off the machine, cutting 1050 aluminium 1.5mm thin sheet parts, filmed in real time.
    Single Pass Dry Cut
Typically 1800-2000mm per minute. 1.5mm depth of cut.
Superior coated bits, higher performance than DLC.
Parts come out requiring minimum deburring and cleaning up.
