@@JS-ny9ge hey man, honestly, I don't know. This was a few years ago and I sold the car after I repaired it so I can't go in and look at it again. I can tell you that I did not tape it off myself, it was taped there when I got to it. Sorry that I'm not more help
@@tombugby Tom, I have he answer! That plug is not supposed to be plugged to anything! It is used to get codes and reprogram the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System).
Hi, great tutorial video... I just recently got into an accident with my Z and need to replace the passenger airbag. I found a used passenger airbag for mine online but I'm not sure if it comes with a new airbag controller unit (as shown in you're video under the center console ) is it necessary to replace airbag unit under the center console with a new one or will my old one work just fine?
I can't say for sure but in MOST cases, the control unit receives a program when in an accident that tells the main computer unit that the airbag has blown. This program can be erased but you would need to have a professional Michanic to do it. Until you either replace the control unit or have it reprogrammed, the airbag light will continue to be illuminated and the airbag will not go off in an accident. Good luck.
That is a very good question. What year is your vehicle? It may have been moved on the later models. I believe that this was a 2007. You may want to reach out to a local Nizzan dealership or a repair shop about possible reprogramming.
@@tombugby I have a 2004 I did some research and there is two types of harness for the control module European 8 pin and the smaller plug for US. Turns out mine is the European 8 pin black but I don't have the box. That's why it's difficult for me to unlock the car
I'm guessing you mean dashboard. I did have to replace the piece of the dashboard that is on top of the air bag. The process is simple though. Once you take the airbag out, that are a few bolts that hold it in. Remove those and you can replace part of the dashboard.

U had to replace the fashbaord too right?

I bought my parts for this repair on eBay. They were not cheap but that was at least 6 years ago so they may be cheaper now.
So basically if I want to get rid of the air bag problem I'd just open it up and cut it out. Lol
I guess that depends on what you are considering to be an "airbag problem"...
No Airbag, No Problem ;P
