I don’t believe everyone is wearing Layton. It’s a very expensive fragrance. I feel it’s misleading when it’s said everyone is wearing a expensive fragrance that most ppl don’t even know about. They can’t even identify it if smelled.
I agree. I don't even think that applies to less expensive fragrances. For instance I've only smelled Dior Sauvage on other people a handful of times. The truth is most people don't even wear fragrance.
Sauvage being the most popular fragrance at the moment is cheaper, easier to access to the masses(macys' Dillard's, etc), and yet I rarely smell it while walking through the mall which is one of the most active areas to smell people from all backgrounds, professions, ages, etc.

Even hype beasts like Layton are never worn in 99% of places (unless you live in a hyper rich area or have friends with good salaries). I personaly own Naxos, Alexandria II and Layton (Yes i am in crippling dept) . I have never EVER smelled anything like them ever even when i go for a walk or coffee in some of the most high class areas of my city. Most people just wear designer mass appealing perfumes which are not bad, but everyone wears them. I will smell SWY, Sauvage or one million at least 5 times on someone when im out. On the other hand, when i am wearing Layton which in my nose is perffection for fall/winter/autum everyday use (walks coffee etc), when the sun is up, i generally get compliments like 'I literally have never smelled anything like this before, you smell amazing' . On a sidenote, in my nose Naxos smells much much better and higher quality than Layton (Xerjoff in generall makes better perfumes than PDM) but it is not so easy to pull off everyday cause of the intensity of the scent and uniqueness of it. Alexandria II you want to wear when you want to be at least the richest smelling man everywhere you go. The point of this long comment is if you are considering buying a niche perfume like Layton (or even Mancera Cedrat Boise which is the dior sauvage of the niche market) dont worry if it is hyped, unless you live in the richest areas of the world, almost no one will be wearing something something like this and you will stand out. Sorry for the long post, i tend to branch out when telling something.
Naxos is so good, I was surprised i could wear it in high summer heat this past summer. But I only did one spray, and when catching it in the air while walking by the beach or going out to eat, was just perfect. And yeah, a lot more unique and complex than Layton. Havent tried Alexandria II yet.

I just love Percival - being an early 2000's mallrat - that DNA is just pure nostalgia for me, and I think it's the absolutely pinnacle of it. It's mass-appealing and straight class, too. And... no Carlisle??? That thing is a 10/10 monster.
I bought Pegasus over Haltane a couple months ago and i have regretted my entire existence ever since. Fortunately the sales woman gave me a 10 mL atomizer as a gift and that's what's keeping me alive lol. Pegasus is solid but Haltane is the 🐐 😍
I love Haltane and receive a compliment almost every time I wear it. I own Percival, Layton Exclusif, Pegasus, and Carlisle, and this one is by far my favorite. You're the first reviewer I've seen who agrees. Totally fine with this scent continuing to fly under the radar.

Wore Haltane when I was on the plane traveling. The stewardess asked out loud, who smelling so beautiful? I said me, me,me. She said I want to sit beside you for the entire flight. I was so impressed with her reaction. After using the washroom, I sat down. The stewardess comes over to me and said, I know that was you who just used the washroom. Haltane leaves the most gorgeous cilleage (scent) behind. WOW!! The other stewardess wanted to lean over me to pass my mother a cup of water.
I'm ordering a sample of Haltane. I own 9 PDMs fragrances. They are all very good. I probably find Carlisle the most unique. I'm a big fan of Amouage, PDM, Nishane, and Micallef. I think Micallef is my favorite house. I love that when you order directly from them they include two nice sized samples.
Haltane is my signature scent. Bought my bottle in early January. Went back and forth between Haltane and Initio OfG. So glad I chose Haltane. The openings are similar but Haltane’s dry down is so good. It’s starting to warm up here in Texas so I’ve been layering it with Greenley or BR Grassland. Absolute banger!
I could never get into Percival. It is so overly Lavendered. I think its old man smelling and I am 48. I think Layton smells very mentholated and awful. Tried for year to like it. I never got positive comments on Layton. Actually had a few negative comments when I wore it. So Layton to me is very overrated. On a positive note my Top 3 are Sedley compliment king and works well in winter also because of the mint. Pegasus original is number 2 in the collection. I love almond and it can be worn all year. Herod is a beautiful tobacco scent that actually works well during all warm months here in Central FL for me because of the smoothness. Haltane is one I am interested in also. Great video. Thank you😊
Herod! Use it lightly and not directly on the skin. Walk into a couple of pumps after a shower with unscented soap. Reminds me of when a woman stands a little too close.
I don’t like OUD fragrances but Haltane ,surprisingly took me by surprise. As you mentioned its a beautiful friendly beginner fresh oud scent with some sweetness to it; really amazing👌🏻 Percival is my signature scent ❤️💪🏻🤙🏻😁

Kalan smells great, give it time. Easy to gatekeep it since most youtube influencers hate it. But it’s easily my most complemented fragrance out of all of my PDM’s
At first, I hated it but after trying it again, it turns out that I enjoy the sweet, spicy, bell pepper scent that is Kalan. I don't love it enough for a full bottle but I will give it its due.
Layton exclusif and Herod are not good direct smelling from a paper, but put the paper on a heater and wait few minutes. In the air it shines like nothing else.

I prefer OFG over Haltane, Haldane's too powdery on my skin, OFG a bit more sweet. Haltane would be like maybe 6th or 7th place out of the PDMS I have experienced.

Having sampled all your recommendations for men i would say that : 1.Percival smells more of a generic designer than niche. 2.Kalan and Haltane lean towards Initio's Oud for Greatness (Kalan leans less IMO). 3.Herod is an upgrade to VR Spice Bomb (same genre) , 4. Sedley is a very nice easy scent desingerish vibe. 5. Akaster is the favorite of Steven Redolescense channel (Similar to other Rose & Oud combo frags) . 6.Layton is more likeable to Layton Exclusif (Opening and mid are quite challenging, Drydown is very similar to OG) . Very intresting scent for me is Habdan. 7. Pegasus exlusif is way better than the OG . Keep on the good job!

Yesterday I went out to choose a fragrance and the decision came down to Haltane and Aventus Absolu. I ended up choosing Absolu. Haltane is a nice fragrance but in my opinion really lacks that wow factor. To me it’s a scent for the “nice guy” (boring) whereas Absolu is a scent for a man that’s on the move, risk taker, sophisticated.
My favourite is Carlisle out of all the ones I have. I only had a sample of Sedley and it is a great summer scent, looking forward to getting a bottle. All in all I haven’t found a PDM I didn’t like.
Haltane is a killer! I love it and imo the most underrated one out of the house. It does get its comparisons to Initio Oud for Greatness but it has its own twist.

I’ve smelled Herod, Carlisle and Layton. Layton is good but smells familiar. Herod is nice but I would prefer it if it was a bit more masculine smelling. I didn’t like Carlisle, it reminded me of Tom Ford oud wood. I have just bought the men’s discovery set and I’m hoping some of the others are more masculine smelling.
Both Pegasus Exclusivf is freaking amazing but Pegasus is just as freaking amazing.. it’s wild how both these scents you can pull off all year round.. 💯💯

Akaster is the classic Rose Oud frag that exudes elegance. It is most likely suited for mature men. Have you ever tested Lippizan? What are your thoughts on Oajan and Habdan?

Sedley - summer and everyday use Percival - very likable Layton - special occasions but very sexy Herod - nice tobacco scent but not amongst my favorites. A very try manly scent. Pegasus - Not amongst my favorites. I just love Delina for women, smells amazing These three are my favorites so far. Just ordered Oajan 😁

I only like Haltane as a mildly more wearable Oud for Greatness, otherwise I'm not sure it's worth adding for people who have OFG or prefer OFG. I really enjoyed Akaster when I tried it - think it's already discontinued though. Aromatic rose-oud.
why was Haltane even compared to tobacco vanille? idk i hate the way tobacco vanille by TF is in the opening, i have just gotten a bottle of herod, and i love it, even if im 25 it's damn good
Layton is nice, but Carlisle is a little more masculine. Herod smelled great but leans into the feminine category to me. Nice review, will have to look for something rose-oud ;)

Layton is the knee buckler of the bunch and it isn’t common….at all. I’ve only smelled it on one other person besides myself. That was in PR during an outdoor party. It projected 30 ft in a breeze, lasted all day.
I love Parfums de Marly. Kalan and Greenly get me lots of compliments:) I like Delina a whole lot and I’d like to try Darly, which seems to be a forgotten gem in the line.

Yes, after wearing it many times, I came to find that the performance on Valaya is very good, for the first few hours you have an amazing bubble. Idk if it’s from my bottle macerating, or if I just didn’t realize it upon my first few wearings

I never smelled Layton on ANYBODY, but i smell Ombre Nomade nearly everytime i go into a club or just into a bar.

AGREED. Im in a super rich area in south FL. I def know Noody wears this. Not a chance. Most men wear EDTs sauvage, eros etc. and it wears off.

Greenley adds that green zest and pairs well with the sweet saffron in Haltane. I spray Haltane first and Greenley on top. Give it a try.

Having sampled all your recommendations for men i would say that : 1.Percival smells more of a generic designer than niche. 2.Kalan and Haltane lean towards Initio's Oud for Greatness (Kalan leans less IMO). 3.Herod is an upgrade to VR Spice Bomb (same genre) , 4. Sedley is a very nice easy scent desingerish vibe. 5. Akaster is the favorite of Steven Redolescense channel (Similar to other Rose & Oud combo frags) . 6.Layton is more likeable to Layton Exclusif (Opening and mid are quite challenging, Drydown is very similar to OG) . Very intresting scent for me is Habdan. 7. Pegasus exlusif is way better than the OG . Keep on the good job!
You have to try the monster Carlisle. Idk why she missed that in her list. Its such a Masterpiece.

Pegasus Exclusif is amazing. I put it on par with Layton Exclusif
Yesterday I went out to choose a fragrance and the decision came down to Haltane and Aventus Absolu. I ended up choosing Absolu. Haltane is a nice fragrance but in my opinion really lacks that wow factor. To me it’s a scent for the “nice guy” (boring) whereas Absolu is a scent for a man that’s on the move, risk taker, sophisticated.

What would you suggest as an exotic fragrance for men?
My favourite is Carlisle out of all the ones I have. I only had a sample of Sedley and it is a great summer scent, looking forward to getting a bottle. All in all I haven’t found a PDM I didn’t like.
Haltane is a killer! I love it and imo the most underrated one out of the house. It does get its comparisons to Initio Oud for Greatness but it has its own twist.

For me, PDM is a bit of an overrated fragrance house. However, Valaya and Greenley are 2 of my favourites and I absolutely love.
I’ve smelled Herod, Carlisle and Layton. Layton is good but smells familiar. Herod is nice but I would prefer it if it was a bit more masculine smelling. I didn’t like Carlisle, it reminded me of Tom Ford oud wood.
I have just bought the men’s discovery set and I’m hoping some of the others are more masculine smelling.
Which one best for black tie event in the summer evening?
Both Pegasus Exclusivf is freaking amazing but Pegasus is just as freaking amazing.. it’s wild how both these scents you can pull off all year round.. 💯💯

@@eauderica such unique scents .. the way they do that bitter almond n vanilla so creamy n nutty but has a freshness to it that always summer wear like no other creamy almond vanilla scent. Now Initios Rehab is also a great creamy scent that can be worn all year around as well. Can def tell they are sister houses….
Akaster is the classic Rose Oud frag that exudes elegance. It is most likely suited for mature men. Have you ever tested Lippizan? What are your thoughts on Oajan and Habdan?

Personally i prefer Oud for greatness :), Haltane has a paperiness to it i dont really like. My fav is Herod, second Layton

This is a good view . I absolutely love pegasus exc, my fav, I feel it has a touch of out for greatness in it which I love as well , and haltan omg my favs haltan,pegasus exc, carlisle, oud for greatness, paragon, side effect..

Percival - very likable
Layton - special occasions but very sexy
Herod - nice tobacco scent but not amongst my favorites. A very try manly scent.

I only like Haltane as a mildly more wearable Oud for Greatness, otherwise I'm not sure it's worth adding for people who have OFG or prefer OFG. I really enjoyed Akaster when I tried it - think it's already discontinued though. Aromatic rose-oud.
why was Haltane even compared to tobacco vanille? idk i hate the way tobacco vanille by TF is in the opening, i have just gotten a bottle of herod, and i love it, even if im 25 it's damn good

Layton is nice, but Carlisle is a little more masculine. Herod smelled great but leans into the feminine category to me. Nice review, will have to look for something rose-oud ;)

Layton is the knee buckler of the bunch and it isn’t common….at all. I’ve only smelled it on one other person besides myself. That was in PR during an outdoor party. It projected 30 ft in a breeze, lasted all day.

Yes, after wearing it many times, I came to find that the performance on Valaya is very good, for the first few hours you have an amazing bubble. Idk if it’s from my bottle macerating, or if I just didn’t realize it upon my first few wearings
