I know the pain of getting so many full art vaporeons i got 4 days and about 40 packs b4 I got a 1 normal vaporeon I managed to get tye gold full art charzard but other common cards I've been opening the old packs still trying to get a full 100% card decks and some mew packs but I can go as far to say I got the full art celbi ex the one where you get sucked into the card b4 I got the normal volcorna 😅 cards I need that aren't super rare i can't pull to save my live but games like here have cards that are better and easly more rare

they should increase the number of decks that we can make. 15 is so low even for those 4 packs
I have 10 meta decks and 5 just for fun decks ,and yeah constantly deleting decks and making new ones is super annoying especially if you flair your cards. Personally I think the limit needs to be removed or we need 50 when we get the next pack

I wish full arts wouldn't be counted against you for challenges in battles, cause for a couple decks I only have the full Art version of a card(non-ex).
It's such a dumb thing to count against...

That's actually a fun problem to work around, imo. I'm more upset they don't count towards completing your collection. I have all the fancy Celebis and no regular Celebi EX and it's the only card I'm "missing" from Mythical Islands
I hope we get more abilities and interactions on set 2 and less coin flipping.
coin flips balance a game like this, otherwise 3 or 4 decks would just dominate
Oh it might get a lot worse. Currently there are few cards that can paralyze or sleep, and most of them have no meta relevance. And the confusion status isn't even in the game yet. That might change in the future tho, not sure if they intend to add the burn and confusion status effect
@@LeeterthanthouI don't know a single meta relevant deck that's actually successful and relying on coin flips. The main TCG also atm has hardly any meta cards with flips being used aside from exactly Pokemon Catcher, which usually people just use Counter Catcher instead of.
@@Leeterthanthou balancing a game around coinflips is pretty rough though. It overall leaves a slightly negative feeling in players most of the time when they feel like they just lost to bad rng

Just a note that the character is Blue not Gary. Similar to Ash versus Red. Blue is the rival and gym leader in Kanto.
My mistake. I see him and just think of Gary from the anime.
Gary is based off Blue, not an important difference IMO. Basically the same character unless you get into the nitty gritty.

Trading is gonna be pretty pointless it's really easy to get a hold of cards even my f2p cheap ass is only missing a few cards and I started a month after launch I think

Remember that Gardevoir and Mewtwo also have icon achievements tied to them from Genetic Apex, so you’ll get good odds of getting those if you don’t have them already from the psychic mass outbreak

I don't have either icon and I'm sitting on 6 Mew EX, so I might be willing to try that Wonder Pick until I complete the Themed Collections and might even get the limited time flair.
Been playing since day 1 and still no regular Mewtwo 🫠 Only 1 Ralts too, so I welcome being able to get a 2nd one for free at least

Ive opened so many mewtwo packs trying to get 5 normal mewtwo and gardevoir for the challenge and only got 1. Now they have this event. Thank goodness, hopefully i can get them all without needing packs!

Yeah Mewtwo EX is the only major meta deck I don't have cards for (especially Gardevoir, wtf) so I've been hating that deck even more than most people. Glad to see they're creating opportunities for us.
Gardevoire was my 3rd missing card from full 150 count, still had to purchase Beedrill and Vaporeon.
Ya the thing I don't like about drop events is: getting event currency as a reward, multiple times, after no longer having any reason to use it because you already got all the event related rewards for the currency.
Once players get all the event related rewards that tie to event currency, players should be rewarded the other items in the event that arnt event currency.
There's no reason to reward players with extra event currency if that currency isn't gonna be turned into some other common currency after the event is over.
Lots of games actually do that, exchange extra event currency for common currency once a games event ends.
Maybe they should that to.
Instead of just giving us extra eve t currency with nothing to use it on..
It would have been easy for them to just have the shinedust purchase be infinite.

@AlexsGoogleAccount see iv been keeping track too. an every drop event we've had has left us with extra event currency with no exchange optoin happening at the end of them.
Like what's the point in getting rewarded with useless extra event currency? Is what I kept asking myself.
Then I thought about how other games that have ongoing monthly events with similar rewards.
First game that came to mind was: multiversus.
Yes it's not a gotcha, but, in terms of monthly events, special event themed currency an special event themed rewards, the 2 games are just like.
Except pokemon pocket doesn't exchange players extra event currency for a common game currency at the end of events.
Like, imo thats not that hard to do.
And more inportantly with a game bringing in this much money you'd think the company would think to implement that into the game.
I'm honestly surprised they just overlooked an have continued to overlook this aspect of events in general.
By doing this, it helps keep the entire community, happier .
The whales get extra incintives to spend an the free to plays get a little something extra to help them along the way.
It just, incourages play. Imo. It makes sense to implement it.

Yeah.
Game could really benefit from ranked. That way if you want to play your less than top tier meta deck you can and get put into players that also have less than meta decks and still have a decent time.

@@alex62965 yeah but if you build a smart deck you can fly through most of it easily, I had this recent one done and 14/20 of the final one in just over a day
It's great just maybe a daily or few weekly challenges that are abit harder, force players to use certain types or not use cards I dno.

I didn't get a crown rare even with one big pack purchase until a couple days ago and I've had the premium pass for months too. I'm just sad it wasn't crown mew since I already had all the cards from miniset except for some 2* and crown rares and I never got a 3 diamond marshadow, but that's meaningless when I opened many 1* versions.

I think the rainbow star is 1 of 2 things. Either the rainbow hyper rares type cards that came in physical tcg OR the stamp for FA/Secret Rare promos(like a FA Professor Research)
I'm surprised more people don't just assume that the new Rainbow star rarity icon to be Rainbow rare full arts like the TCG has. Makes the most sense

They need to reorganize the “My cards” section better. With the set coming out it’s going to suck scrolling alll the way down. Instead they should have tabs for each set. Makes it easier to look for cards for your deck.
shiny hunting in TCGP might actually make this game skyrocket higher than it already has
Each card has a 1/4096 to be shiny but if you have completed the new unnamed johto set you get the shiny charm making the odds 1/2048
With the cokours of the icon, surely it's more likely to be the intro of rainbow rares - we've got gold cards in the irl TCG and they're in game, so also having rainbow rares would make more sense imo. They're also a lot prettier than the gold cards I think, their animation would surely be dope!

same happened with the electric event to me, i didn't got a single zapdos ex which I'm still missing, but more importantly it didn't included eelektross, literally the only card I was missing to get the immersive mew.
@@chrisb.2028 You only need original 151 for immersive mew, but they have to be regular or EX versions from genetic apex. Promo cards and miniset cards don't count. I have immersive mew and I don't have any eelektross.

I agree I’ve been hunting for the crown rares since the game started I have all my immersives except mewtwo ex so a new rarity is just making it way more difficult than it has to be🥲

I am praying to whatever gods may exist that the new set contains a Crobat EX of some kind that is strong enough to theme a deck around. I will likely never run another deck if that happens. Probably not possible, but a man can dream.

I wouldn't be surprised. Genetic Apex is The Kanto Set, & Mythical Island is centered on both Mew & Celebi, so I am willing to bet the second full set will be The Johto Set. It's a smaller region with less pokemon that fit to be EX, & Crobat is one of the most fitting.

@@doublejazz i wouldn't be surprised to see a poke gold requirement to trade. i reckon there will also be limitations as to what can be traded by rarity. meaning, you can't trade your rattata for your alt account's crown card.
They better include the trading feature with that major update. I've gotten all the cards except for like 2-6 of the art ones in each pack. I've dropped hundreds trying to get them. Not again...
If they don't include the trade feature, I'll be much more conservative with how I spend my money in the game. I've already flaired EVERY one of my alt art cards and basic cards that I use regularly. Not about to do the same thing for a whole new major set.

@@nachito9380 The speculation I’ve seems to imply that trading will become available after the new expansion is released & will be restricted to previous expansions only. That way players are still incentivized to pull packs for the newest cards but can trade for previous stuff they may have missed.

I've been experimenting with a Victreebel deck using the pokemon flutes, and its so much fun to kill a basic pokemon straight out of someones discard, but I'm struggling getting good support in it. Rn im running shiinotic cuz theyre pretty fast to get up and running and sleep can be very good for stall and decent 50 damage, but I'm not sure if it's the best choice
Someone needs to tell them to do alt art s for the stage 1 starters, not another basic or stage 2.

Honestly don't mind that they are taking their time with the new sets. I still have yet to finish Genetic Apex, but am only a couple of cards short on Mythical Island. Also, I've been testing new decks other than constantly running the meta decks that way it doesn't get super boring.

Not sure how I feel about the new rarity.
On F2P it's already almost mathematically impossible to get everything and that's with daily engagement and optimal hourglass saving. You're going to lose player engagement fast if people have gaps in every set.
I agree, but it really depends on how they handle it.
If they don't phase packs out, they keep going through back-to-back events with lots of rewards, and each new pack comes with new solo battles and missions that heap prizes at the player, gaps don't matter.
If they phase packs out and make trading extremely frustrating, that would tank engagement.
If you mean finishing the diamond set, it absolutely isn’t. If you mean getting every secret rare, even people who shell out hundreds can’t complete it. You’re not supposed to get every single secret rare card, and it really shouldn’t be one of your expectations. And no, I don’t think a large chunk of people are going to stop playing the game because they occasionally miss a few cards.
@Ursi_ Agreed. I've been considering the star rarities to be the same card as its base. I've been playing since the start and currently have just under 2500 cards in total and the only card I'm missing is Genetic Apex Exeggutor. Once you include full art and variants, I'm missing 26 Genetic Apex cards and 8 Mythical Island cards.
But because of diminishing returns when seeking out rarer cards, I expect it would take more than another 2500 cards for those last 34 cards. The people I saw who posted about completing it all had over 8000 cards.
I don't really mind those gaps, though. Nor do I mind that I don't have any Crown Rares.
I think that it might be the rainbow cards. They're completely different than the other two stars, yet completely different. The rainbow cards are all hand drawn AKA no CG art, but it's in the same rarity as the many CG art 2 star cards. Rainbows also have a unique texture compared to any other card, similar to SIR's and alt arts in the physical TCG. I think they will increase the rarity of the rainbow cards and make it it's own tier

I’m pretty sure that the set at the end of the month will be mainly Gen 2 Pokémon as the only Pokémon from Gen 2 to be released is Celebi and I think that’s a teaser. Also them releasing shinys during gen 2 would make sense

I feel like theyre doing slightly better woth hourglasses. I think finding a way to give a bit more would be nice. Also increase the deck amount maybe to 30. Cards arent coming out soon enough and everyone uses the same meta decks as soon as they come out making battling a little stale. If more cards came out at a time and higher deck count might even it out

Everyone is hoping to see Shiny Variants of cards based off the rarity symbol but I'm surprised to see nobody saying that it could be Rainbow cards. They are very rare in the IRL TCG and usually sought after so it'd make sense that they make their way into Pocket....not to mention the symbol is literally a rainbow lol

My guess for the second set
A focus on steel and dark, as well as fighting (the mass outbreaks have always been of the favorable type going into a solo battle event, so fighting seems likely to be the lead). We'll see probably 2 each at least of dark and steel exs as well as another electric and another fighting.
My guess Is Umbreon and Steelix, Possibly Absol or maybe Arbok or Crobat?
I'm hopefully dual type support will also debut and it makes sense given the nature of steelix, Umbreon, Scizor and others all changing typing as they evolve.

I like that squirtle art. I like that they're reusing good art from the tcg and good effects like mimic chatot, which was in the tcg years ago. Edit: I wish flare on cards were visible at all times, not just when you play a card. It's kinda dumb if you ask me.

You dont have to be on the highest dif for the event. The easy way is auto battle on advanced. U will get ur packs
So when people say they completed genetic apex, do they mean they have every single card and all of the rarity versions??? If so that’s crazy. They for sure had to pay lol
