Watching the old man rotate or pull those pies from the oven with his bare hands at Di Fara is an amazing experience. The last time I was there, he was using fresh Basil he'd grown with love in his backyard, and then we watched him snipping it with scissors all over our pie. It is something I will NEVER forget. THIS was pizza made with skillz and pride. SO MUCH LOVE for his work! I'm privileged to have done it. Dom DeMarco is ONE OF A KIND, and SO is his pizza! If you haven't done this, GO!

Jews and pizza, match made in Heaven. I love how Di Fara's welcomes you in, obvious real affection; behind the counter "like family." Love the show! Had a roommate back in 1982 who lived in Brooklyn and always talked about Di Faras pizza and how amazing it was. Sounds like he wasn't exaggerating. If you are ever around King Of Prussia Pennsylvania stop by BerWyn Pizza. It's very different from any pizza I have ever had in so much as the texture and taste of the crust, cheese and sauce. It is somewhat greasy for some reason (may be olive oil?) I never asked, I never cared because it tasted so darn amazing to me.
DiFara received a 9.4 in previous review at DiFara . I remember Dave was miserable and said the pizza was cold but still the best. Dave was swearing etc but I wish he had rated this hot bonus slice. He did say it was the best. The employees were very gracious to Dave. Let’s face it …. DiFara is the best pizza 🍕 in New York.

Because in the 80’s in became a orthodox Jewish neighborhood. In the 90’s the yuppie/hipsters started moving in and they were going to Di Fara which back then he made a regular NY style pizza (Neapolitan & Sicilian pies with a kitchen in back he did good hero’s & pasta dishes) Di Fara had good pizza back back when he changed his menu & pie. He blew up because the new comers.

Yes they've expanded to many locations, but a slice I grab at any one of those locations, no matter the time, will still get me the same great slice. It's quality control. di Fara's doesn't have that. I've been told you have to have it made by the old guy. That's just bullshit.
