- Fractal Machine makes possible what previously wasn't - creating complex and highly detailed fractals all in Blender!
Fractals have been used extensively in Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy, Disney's Big Hero 6 and many more movies. Previously, they have required either a raymarch-capable renderer like Octane, or a procedural powerhouse like Houdini. Fractal Machine brings full-featured fractals into the hands of Blender artists.

Picked this up from blender market the other day and i've been having a lot of fun with it in what is my on and off chill hobby and pass time. An addon that does one thing and does it really well. With a basic environment, some ambient occlusion and a simple lighting set up you can like your example here create some absolutely stunning landscape pieces. Quite reminiscent of the work of Roger Dean. Memories of shadow of the beast springing to mind. Even simple setups with little processor load and short eevee render times look awesome. As with your anytree addon, very useful. Great stuff.

How did you create the scenes? I mean how do you make the camera and lighting movement? Is it done inside blender?

Would you recommended your fractals if I am a beginner, I only ever did the blender donut tutorial.

Not sure which version to get I will be using it to make an animated series made with Blender on youtube but could take around two years, is that classed commercial, making money from youtube ads?
You can buy the personal one first, and when you finally make money after two years you can always upgrade to the commercial one.

Finally, we don’t have to make the big equations ourselves. How long did it take to render these?
The rendering doesn't take too much time. The scene with the trees took around 2-3 minutes per frame. The fractal generation does take some time too, high res fractals around 2-3 minutes as well. And they need RAM too, so it depends on the hardware how far you can push it.

@@BadNormals then I'm probably not gonna touch this. It'll fry my poor laptop 😂. Even rendering normal 1080p images it struggles. After all I'm using i3 processor 😂

It's a Blender asset pack that uses mostly sophisticated geometry nodes and skilfully assembled shader nodes. It may have some Python scripting embedded but even if it does if your system can run Blender 3.3.x then you can use it.

Are these animatable?
The parameters can of course be animated, but depending on the resolution it might take a few minutes for each frame to calculate. At a lower resolution I'd say yes.
