This film is very good. Through Solid rocks, water falls and fine soils accumulates and they know difference between bamboo baskets, clay boiling pots filtering unwanted ones to good ones for them. It means big running cloudy water streams carry many resources and beneficial informations on solid rock foundations.

Tourism isn't the biggest problem. The real threat is China's three gorge damn that is now drying this once sustainable river.

I've been there twice, twenty years apart. It hasn't changed, unlike the rest of South East Asia. You could go to where I was born in England and film a lot of looney bastards, just as mad as that shaman and the others. You can be just as mad, fringe element, loony in Britain as you can in Laos, it's just more photogenic in Laos.

Great efforts have been put into the making of this documentary, but the ignorance of accompanying background music ruined it.
