Great watching football when all the players were British. They were the days - now it's a disaster of highly-paid foreigners ruining the game and leveraged buy-outs by foreign owners ruing the clubs...
QPR have been going nowhere for 25 years. Their problem is the stadium - because it's in a residental area, capacity can't be increased. This means they will remain a championship/first division club. Relocating would be dangerous, because they have many fair weather fans. Shame cos the Bowles/Francis/Parkes era was wonderful.
Might have been there for the '66 WC. Removed maybe? around 1978, apparently the Park End stand was an unsafe wooden structure. Ended up as a thin strip of terracing for away fans. I went there to watch Villa on 30/01/79, I did not see a ''bowl'' but it was still the old, good size terraced bank with the stand overhead which gave shelter if it rained.
What great football, specially QPR. Second goal was a strategical magestry goal.
What a great QPR team.
The good ole days. Proper footballers, kits, commentary.
Underated QPR team.......great goalie!

Title should have been ours, best team for entertainment etc... a real shame, will never happen again for us
Money has taken over.
This was a wonderful QPR side.
Micky Leach and Dave Clement. Two Rs legends no longer with us.
qpr ran liverpool mighty close that year for the title

Good game of football ...
Great days, look at the shit we have to endure now
Does anyone know the reason for those 'bowls' behind each goal? When were they removed?

Yeah I always thought that was a bit of a strange thing at goodison park. No other ground had that half circle behind the goal that I know of.
