  • What Your Favorite Car Says About You! ENGINE EDITION! The Humor in this video can go up to 5 layers deep. As Shrek would say, this is like an Onion, it has layers. You need to be a Weeb who watches a lot of Anime, Participates in Gacha Games, heck, you need to be an aLPhA gAmER in general to even understand of the GAMER jokes, amirite GAMERS? You also of course, need to be a car enthusiast. Some pop culture references are made as well regarding Jay Z, White Girls at Starbucks, and so on, so like I said, this video can either be extremely funny, extremely confusing, hard to digest, or just plain stupid if all of it flies over your head.
    I won't explain any of the jokes, I'm sure someone in the comments will, the reason I don't is because it ruins the fun in telling a joke. A Joke is meant to be enjoyed by those who understand it in it's purest form of delivery and not it's elaborated explanation.
    While not an outright joke, I will explain the Soup pictures on the Supra bit...
    Get it? Toyota SOUPra? It's a stupid gag referencing the fact I call my friend Spence's MK5 Supra a "Soup" since he likes to eat Soup too and owns a Soup. All Supra's are now SOUP to me. YO, YO, YOU WANT SOME SOUP BRUH??
    But Seriously Akio. I swear to God, if I have to lose another carbon gauge to you, someone at Namco is getting it...
    For Legal Purposes the above statement is a joke, plz don't hurt me Namco, k thx bye
    Boring Details about Callie
    Callie's frame was slowly and meticulously pushed back into place. This process took upwards of a year due to multiple appointments, constant checkups, and moving it between many shops since many experts were needed. Unfortunately, a part of her A-pillar is still not fully fixed as it literally jets "Wind" inside. I just used a larger weather lining here as I do not want to re-strip off all her panels and send her back to a Body Repair Shop to realign a few millimeter difference. Her Lower Rocker Frame looks practically new. It was repainted on the bottom so no scuffs show. The Frame on the upper roof was never damaged. IIHS wasn't kidding when they gave the Ford Mustang a 5/5 for Roof strength. It took a Tacoma at 45mph and held up. This strong roof is likely what saved my life that night, as it's ability to completely hold it's shape prevented the Tacoma from pushing further inwards into the car and severely injuring/deceasing me.
    Once it left the shop, I got lazy and let her sit around for about 8 months in a field in the middle of nowhere in Indiana. The reason being was I was trying to find a "Deep Impact Blue" Mustang in a salvage yard to avoid having to repaint Callie or buy new panels. While there were DIB Mustangs that came in, most of them HAD similar damage on the panels I needed to replace Callie's with, meaning salvaging them would've been pointless.
    Eventually...an unlikely candidate showed up. I finally found a Salvage Mustang with Passenger side damage (Chassis Code 0596 of the 50th anniversary lineup Kona Blue) as a donor car/parts bin car to transplant any good panels from it, onto Callie. It essentially had the inverse damage of what she had, but less severe (Passenger sideswipe as opposed to a full blown Driver's Side T-bone like mine) I ended up repainting her to Kona Blue instead of Deep Impact Blue since the majority of her (front bumper, driver's side Fender, rear driver's side fender, driver's side door, and rear bumper) were all smashed/bent/not lining up after the collision.
    The GT:CS interior got all moldy from the deployed airbags since right after the accident, my Insurance company let her sit out in a field for a few months awaiting payment from the At Fault Party. By the time the issue was settled, her interior needed replacing, so I also took the interior from chassis code 0596 as well.
    The thing I'm most proud of, are the side "louvers" from the 50th Anniversary. Those are not actually plastic tacked on bits, they are indeed GLASS MULTI LAYERED Louvers. A true work of art worth almost $1900 a piece. The one on his passenger side was somehow unscathed since he had front side damage mostly. I yoinked these since Callie's driver's side Quarter Window was smashed in the crash as well.
    I am currently looking for a crashed/wrecked (preferably rear ended) Kona Blue Shelby GT350
    because I want it's hood, front fenders, front bumper, CAI, Strut brace, and Intake Manifold.

I'm gonna track the stang so it's gonna need to have stuff go on and off a lot, so yeah right I'm keeping shitty push pins instead of actual bolts....no wonder why they sag from factory. It's funny. Only to now just YEET everything around and even drill the Stang with no hesitation. I've changed a lot, that in a self makes me melancholic but also very proud. • @vomErsten
      @vomErsten 2 роки тому

      GM Powertrain likes it that way, since the LT5 was a foreign interloper. That's probably why they also stuck the LT5 RPO on that snooze of an engine in the C7 ZR1; snooze not because it wasn't powerful, but because an extra blown LT4 is wholly uninteresting.

  • @ryanrake2714
    @ryanrake2714 2 роки тому +71

    As a long-time corvette enthusiast, I actually appreciate the shoutout to the LS and LT platforms. The LT5 was crazy in its daily for allowing a 350 smallblock to spin to 7200 rpm reliably (the engine was tested 200 hours nonstop I recall for the pre 92 models and 400 hours post 92 models). And looking for a C5 Z06 equipped with the LS6 of course and hopefully someday a LS7 swap I appreciated the entry. However, if I'm not seeking smallblock perfect weight distribution fuck yeah, I want a big block from any manufacturer stuffed into the corresponding car.

    • @DuBstep115
      @DuBstep115 2 роки тому

      Don't buy C5 Z06. You get zero value for your money, because LS6 is actually LS1 with different heads and cam. Just buy mint base C5 with H/C and longtubes already done. You save money and get a much faster car. Also Z06 has zero exterior parts over base (except brake ducts) and FRC looks ugly compared to Targa.

    • @ryanrake2714
      @ryanrake2714 2 роки тому +1

      @@DuBstep115 not entirely true. The brake ducts are function on the z06(they ain’t fake slap ons). The FRC chassis in 12 percent stiffer than the coupe and about 50 lbs lighter while reducing lift by 20 percent, at a price of plus 4 percent drag(comparing the 2000frc vs the base coupe c5s as they didn’t receive more weight reduction beyond the lowest trim level and the frc chassis). And I do plan on tracking my car so that’s important. The LS6 though you’re mostly correct, the block was machined better than the LS1 and allows more efficient air flow and more efficient transport of oils through the block. The only thing I’d argue that’s better on the base model is the transmission with closer gears for track. No hate, I’m just describing the differences. However I would be willing to buy a 2000 corvette frc instead at a low price. Because after a while the LS6 will be leaving for an LS7 and the tremic t56 manual for a tr6060 from the c6 zr1.

    • @DuBstep115
      @DuBstep115 2 роки тому

      @@ryanrake2714 I am not hating the Z06 but the price difference what they are asking for nice base C5 with H/C already done vs Z06 is not justified. • @ryanrake2714

      @@DuBstep115 oh I didn’t mean to make it sound as if you where hating on the z06.
      I just believe the saved weight, lower center of gravity, increased chassis rigidity, and the reduced lift is worth the extra cost.
      And as I mentioned previously I’d be perfectly happy with a 2000 corvette FRC as I get all the advantages of the z06(besides the brake ducts and FE4 suspension, and minor weight saving measures).
      I also love the frc body style and I completely understand that not everyone shares the same taste. I happen to think the extended rear deck looks aggressive.
      If I got a standard c5 in the future it’ll probably be a convertible, just a fun car and nothing more. I just don’t really want the coupe for track racing.
