Hey @propeople. Small question - I see your quickshifter is super smooth. On my XR I find that the faster I hit and release the quickshifter the smoother it is, however with normal speed (like clutch shifting) there is a small jerk/stuttee/jump as the bike changes gears? How fast do you hit the QS or is it smooth all over?

I think it was at 253 k.p.h. when it momentarily showed 262, then immediately dropped back down to 254 k.p.h. Did it really reach 262 k.p.h.? I'm not so sure. Analog rules!
even if has an analog indicator speed reaction would be same 'cause bike goes on the bump and rear wheel spinned in the air. Sorry for bad english but it doesn't matter analog indicator or digital indicator same reaction for both of 'em
The 2017 xr is steady as a rock when flat out.mine is anyway.great fast touring bike.but make no mistake it will eat 90%of bike's for breakfast.iv lost count of the amount of sports bikes I've smoked. And can take a pilion in comfort all day.great bike.
@@simontaylor305 you plan to use more them 2 years ? hahahhaha.... i belive with new chain realation will be good for 50+ to..... without it the rpm is to high to cruise....
u must use dynamic-pro mode+acropovic exoust and hader+k&n filter for the top speed..if u a do that u can see max speed 280 km/h and if u ar install s1000rr map top hp 208 max speed 325 km/h..because s1000rr has the same block as the engine
@@propeople i have no video. but the s1000RR has the same block and the same gear. there is only the cycle limitation. if u a use s1000RR map can actually rotate the 14K cycle. can be converted to s1000rr with the appropriate software. but the body structure is not suitable for this speed. because this motorcycles is very high from asphalt this speed
Just got the exact bike you describe. At about 270 the upright ergometrics make you lose the front . So there is a limitation to the top speed not cause of the engine but cause of the bike itself.

0-240 17 sec
0-253 25 sec (top speed?)

The Multistrada 1200 DVT does almost the same time 0-200 as the XR. It's the high revving sound of the 4 cilinder engine that seems faster.

Try to stage 3 Brent tune it with a race cam shaft from rr and you will bump the whp to 180.

Get the Xr, put the RR cams, done you have 210 hp to get 299kmh with your turing bike.
