Should have been in English so that all american's also learnt and would appreciate. Hindi in America would cater to Indian population only.
Listen carefully- Not in Sanskrit and thus not Vedic Suktas. It's a translation of said Nasadiya Sukta, which is absolutely beautiful, in Hindi. I would encourage everyone to look up the Nasadiya Sukta here on YT and it's been translated into English for sure and I'm sure other language- the depth and prepondering of who and what Brahman (God) is and how they beat the odds to become the Supreme, create the devi devta, etc is amazing. Perfectly correlates to the Big Bang Theory. Wish they'd have kept it in Sanskrit; that would have carried a different level of vibration and resonance.
@@panjabipandit Veda consists of mantras which are related to sound as well as meaning. This is in Sanskrit. "Mananh trayete it mintraha." Eighther it should have been in Sanskrit original or in local language. In your over jealous ness for Hindi you have lost to appreciate my opinion. Any how I feel it i is better to have some thing better than nothing.
I dnt understand sanskrit, but this translation hooks me in to research more. dnt discredit everything. hindi has larger reach whether u like it or not. most north indian states understand 3 languages. i know gujarati, hindi and english. and dnt see it as hindi imposition. it only helps us to better integrate with rest of the india.@@panjabipandit

Amazing. Couldn’t take my eyes off screen. The girls danced and expressed magnificently but the hero of the event for me was the beautiful way in which the shloka was recited. Gave me goosebumps. A perfect blend of tradition and modernity.

There was neither non-existence nor existence then;
Neither the realm of space, nor the sky which is beyond;
What stirred? Where? In whose protection?
There was neither death nor immortality then;
No distinguishing sign of night nor of day;
That One breathed, windless, by its own impulse;
Other than that there was nothing beyond.
Darkness there was at first, by darkness hidden;
Without distinctive marks, this all was water;
That which, becoming, by the void was covered;
That One by force of heat came into being;
Who really knows? Who will here proclaim it?
Whence was it produced? Whence is this creation?
Gods came afterwards, with the creation of this universe.
