as if it couldn't get any worse, devin posted a THIRTEEN MINUTE LONG video on instagram with "his side," which included screenshots of intimate and private messages between the two of them. officially the worst final pick in bachelor nation, jenn deserves so much better
This season had a lot of highs and low, but overall just lows. Like Jenn was done DIRTY when it came to her choice of guys. All of them seems to be using her to promote their platform on social media. And Devin really played in all of our faces, I've never meet a more hated contestant of this franchise then him. Production deserves to step on a lego for making Jenn cry making her rewatch her proposal
I felt like Jonathan and Jenn seemed to have a strong friendship base that could turn into a real romance given time. Jenn seemed very comfortable and could be herself around him.
Honestly, production did Jen dirty in so many ways that I just feel exhausted and done with the whole franchise. Seeing her pain exploited like that for views viscerally disgusted me. I think your recaps for the golden bachelorette are the only content I have the slightest interest in!
Sam N was wild for sure but I WILL give him a lot of credit for actually asking Jenn for consent regarding kissing her, versus just trying to "go for it" and blatantly misreading the vibe. Can't be said for a lot of people who have appeared on this show... (*coughcough* Sam M on the radio station date, among others)
I was so excited when Jenn said that she was going to propose to Devon and so disappointed when that was overshadowed by the dumpster fire that ensured. There's everything else that was wrong with what happened (and that was appalling), but I proposed to my husband, and when I told people that, I got questions like "don't you feel like you took something away from him" and "was he too scared to do it himself?" When Jenn said that she'd be proposing, I felt like that was bringing people a step closer to seeing a woman proposing as something normal. No one's going to remember this as the season where a woman proposed now. Obviously, Jenn's the real victim, but that was just a little thing that made me sadder.
No but this is a really good example of how The Bachelor consistently takes the spotlight away from the benefits of platforming diversity and any potential progress it could lead to, by consistently overshadowing it with unnecessary, highly preventable drama. First asian lead? First woman to propose? None of that mattered now.
Honestly from the men chosen it makes so much sense they all thought it was gonna be Daisy or Maria. The men Jenn chose the first couple of weeks were very “traditional cultural” decisions, and I’m not talking about ethnic wise. I’d just leave it at that. I mean if Sam M didn’t have that meltdown he would’ve made it to fantasy suits and the last 3 would’ve been SAM. MARCUS. DEVIN. Which I’ll say it for you, shows she was still very much in that mindset her bro mentioned. But yeah, her early decisions based off the men she was given put her in a corner from jump. Her bachelorette ending was absolutely brutal, but her early choices in the men outside of Johnathan and Grant really put her in a corner and she fell for a lot obvious manipulation.
And now Devin just made a statement in which he included screenshots of intimate conversations he had with Jenn on his Instagram… as if he hasn’t done enough to hurt her, it’s like revenge p**n at this point. If you see it make sure to report it so it gets taken down!
I agree with BF that Jenn was probably production's third choice. Unfortunately, she may have also been the third choice for most of the men invited. I had a feeling it would end in disaster when Jenn got down to her final six, but I was surprised to see Devin pull an Arie Luyendyk on her.
No what Devin did was infinitely worse. Arie was confused but his feelings were genuine and he felt remorseful for leaving Becca. Devin straight up lied and conned the entire time. That's sociopath-level behavior.
Man, I feel like Devin cheat-coded his way to victory only to dump her once he "won". He (1) kept stealing her away during group dates and cocktail parties which took time away from the other men, (2) somewhat love-bombed her by repeatedly saying I love you and when didn't hear it back was ready to leave if he didn't get it back from Jenn, and (3) made her (and for the most part the audience) fall in love with him by seemingly being so sweet, open with his emotions, and making all these promises he ultimately couldn't keep. What a dirt bag. I told my partner about this (he has a film background) and he was like yeah I agree with the producers' decision to let the ending play out like that, from a ratings standpoint. It got people riled up for better ratings and it's memorable, even if it's in a bad way. I'm like NOOOO IT WAS EVILLLLLL! EEEEEVIIIILLLLL!!! 😭😭😭
This seasons ending made me sick to my stomach. Them forcing her to watch herself propose to Devin knowing how things ended between them should be a crime. 😓
I'm looking forward to seeing Hakeem on BiP. And Brett's going too right? Even though he got eliminated night one, he's a cutie and I want to see him on the show!
What happened to Jenn is a good example of how our past can negatively impact whom we choose as partners. That is, we subconsciously seek that which is familiar. I hope Jenn finds love and happiness in her future.
My heart really goes out to Jenn and I commend her. To face all these external factors (things completely out of her control) and still come out with such strength. Truly no words ❤
Production was horrible to Ashley but even they’re worse to Jenn now. I still think the worst guy was the A-hole guy from Ashley’s season though! He said it straight to the camera behind her back that he didn’t want her, and then lied to her face to stay on for as long as he could! Urgh!
this may be the wrong place to voice this (loveee your channel by the way) but i think it may be time to call it quits for the bachelor/ bachelorette. i feel like it’s just getting progressively worse between the many, many clout chasers, poor casting and the low success rates. jen is gorgeous and awesome but they did her so dirty with these men.
I can’t even really fault Jenn for this cuz Devin fooled almost everyone I always thought he was annoying, but one of the most realistic dudes there. He was acting and was a different person after proposal 😂. It’s not like the other seasons where some contestants were giving red flags left and right all season and still get roses, he just said all the right things and said whoops… I won lol
3:20 - it is annoying because the men often get announced earlier AND the audience is far more women. They are already drawing from a bigger pool. For the bachelorette’s it’s always slim pickin’s
Too many are cast early. Why 25 or even 30? Narrow it down to about a dozen but keep them there a few weeks before anyone gets sent home. Too many are sent home after the first episode, probably containing some good people in that bunch.
One man cognizant of her dress choices is a guy who’s actually paying attention and that’s a part of the whole thing called compatibility and reciprocity-the partners need to notice each other and what’s going on with the effort, the mental load, the kindnesses, the fidelity…it all counts in reciprocity.
i couldn't even watch the proposal. it's so clear she didn't want people to see that. jesse immediately being like "well thanks to jenn devin marcus and everyone make sure to tune in to golden bachelorette!!🤠🤠🤠" was so gross
I loved the cringe moments of this season. Hope to see more of that in next Bachelor. When I have to hide under a blanket because its so uncomfortable I know its gooooood stuff.
I just watched Jenn on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast and apparently production walked Jenn through the agenda for ATFR, including watching the proposal. I was surprised to learn that Jenn agreed and wanted to watch the proposal with Devin as part of seeing with him what he had committed to do, and her reaction was unexpected. That doesn’t excuse Devin or production’s decision to continue with a cast of men who were not originally there for Jenn, but at least I could put my pitchfork away where production is concerned.
Fairly new to the franchise, but I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would apply for a show to find a spouse when they don't even know who the lead will be. Outside of wanting instagram follows, fame, etc.
I watched Jenn in an interview with Kaitlyn & she said she knew about them showing the proposal & wanted to watch it with Devin so HE could learn from it
Jen lacked discernment and need to continue healing before an engagement. Also when you lead with you’ve picked wrong in the past you can unfortunately attract wrong 🙏🏾 I pray she humbles herself and calls Jonathan. Slow and steady is the way to go❣️
If your season causes Bachelor Fantake to give a score of [blows raspberry], I'm going to give it a grade of F...U. Not even just an F. It's an "Eff you, guys, for screwing Jenn and her family over. I hope she and her whole family were given an an all-expenses-paid trip to wherever they want as some form of compensation."
I would like to add Spencer to the list to make it a Top 5 group of guys. He tuned in Sam N. twice, and when the guys were squabbling after Aaron dropped a grenade on the group upon leaving, he gained control of the room. He has leadership qualities and seemed very respectful even when correcting prople. Elephant in the room. Who the cast was selected for, Daisy and Maria. Maybe I'm biased, but Rachel N. was 2nd runner up on Joey's season (also a woman of colour.) My picks, no particular order. Daisy - Spencer, Jeremy, Tomas A. Maria - Brian, Tomas A. (Canadian) Rachel - John, Dylan, Grant, Johnathon, Hakeem. By the way. Hakeem rocked.
Jonathon, Grant, Spencer, the guy with the puppies on night one, they were good guys. Unfortunately Jenn had her eye on Sam M and Devin from night one and she couldn’t see us waving the red flags, it was too late.
Grade for the season - F for Ferocious. To me, it doesn't seem realistic to go on a show in pursuit of a "Happily Ever After" in 8 weeks. OK, you're signing up for the format (short time, exposing vulnerability to people you barely know, opening up emotionally and physically). The show is responsible for thoroughly vetting these guys. One could be charged criminally (hard to learn that prior). There's got to be a way of rooting out Cluster B Personility disorders, and certainly anger problems. Maybe arrogance is acceptable to the show. All these things and other negative behaviors make great TV. I get it. After watching this season, it is starting to feel like feeding David to the lions. The prize, after Production makes you watch your own accident scene with the drunk driver who ran over your heart and soul in a hit and run, is to go Dancing With the Stars. Somehow, this makes everything better. The show needs to Do Better in protecting the Leads. This is supposed to be a Love Story, not a PSTD inspired event. Production, Lets keep the main thing, the main thing!!

Honestly, production did Jen dirty in so many ways that I just feel exhausted and done with the whole franchise. Seeing her pain exploited like that for views viscerally disgusted me. I think your recaps for the golden bachelorette are the only content I have the slightest interest in!
Sam N arc was peak
The best part of this season was Jenn, any man would be lucky to have her ♥️
No.
We want FUN too and I think production leaves the fun out in place of drama. I’m not saying I don’t enjoy the drama but balance would be nice.
Why in the world wouldn't they tell them who the bachelorette is??? Then they can decide!
5:55 That's my favorite part, too 😂
Honestly from the men chosen it makes so much sense they all thought it was gonna be Daisy or Maria. The men Jenn chose the first couple of weeks were very “traditional cultural” decisions, and I’m not talking about ethnic wise. I’d just leave it at that.
I mean if Sam M didn’t have that meltdown he would’ve made it to fantasy suits and the last 3 would’ve been
SAM. MARCUS.
Once again, great review. Also, Once again, Evil Producers!
And now Devin just made a statement in which he included screenshots of intimate conversations he had with Jenn on his Instagram… as if he hasn’t done enough to hurt her, it’s like revenge p**n at this point. If you see it make sure to report it so it gets taken down!
People bullying Devin are the problem. Let him say his piece.
@@user-ld6wo4rv8h he could've said his peace without leaking intimate and private messages, bffr
If only she could have a do-over season where there are true contestants for her without expecting someone else to be bachelorette
I agree with BF that Jenn was probably production's third choice. Unfortunately, she may have also been the third choice for most of the men invited. I had a feeling it would end in disaster when Jenn got down to her final six, but I was surprised to see Devin pull an Arie Luyendyk on her.
Production should have brought men that are for Jenn. Those men were for Maria.
@@TYD98Maria ain’t no prize either.
No what Devin did was infinitely worse. Arie was confused but his feelings were genuine and he felt remorseful for leaving Becca. Devin straight up lied and conned the entire time. That's sociopath-level behavior.
@@user-ld6wo4rv8h Who should have been the lead?
@@melodyclark1944if I had to pick, I’d say Daisy but she was obviously above the show and found her man in the real world.
fantake you hit always the nail on the head with these review🌹.
Devin’s karma is watching Jen thrive
Except she isn’t and never well. She’s broken. Devin will be fine.
The out of focus frame of Hakeem’s eyes being absolutely humongous is sending me
I missed Justin's face!! I think him and Hakeem would be a great on Bachelor Pad together!
As a lifelong WWE fan, thank you for that Big Show reference!
Yes! Awesome
I'm looking forward to seeing Hakeem on BiP. And Brett's going too right? Even though he got eliminated night one, he's a cutie and I want to see him on the show!
This is absolutely is one of the worst seasons ever. So much sucked about it, so much…
None of those guys were it from the start
This moment 5:55 😂
What happened to Jenn is a good example of how our past can negatively impact whom we choose as partners. That is, we subconsciously seek that which is familiar.
I hope Jenn finds love and happiness in her future.
I gave you a thumbs up for making this season as entertaining as possible! 👍🏼👌🏼
My heart really goes out to Jenn and I commend her. To face all these external factors (things completely out of her control) and still come out with such strength. Truly no words ❤
Jonathon defended Marcus after SA allegations came out against the latter so he’s trash too
This is like the 3rd time a contestant has been cast with SA allegations. Who TF are these producers???
Are they even doing background checks on these people?!
Barracks bunny
I give you a great grade 👍 for your reviews … red flag 🚩 for production . Gracias
Production was horrible to Ashley but even they’re worse to Jenn now.
I still think the worst guy was the A-hole guy from Ashley’s season though! He said it straight to the camera behind her back that he didn’t want her, and then lied to her face to stay on for as long as he could! Urgh!
Hakeem was my favourite.
this may be the wrong place to voice this (loveee your channel by the way) but i think it may be time to call it quits for the bachelor/ bachelorette. i feel like it’s just getting progressively worse between the many, many clout chasers, poor casting and the low success rates. jen is gorgeous and awesome but they did her so dirty with these men.
As usual, you nailed it! Ploooot!
I’m thankful you made no mention of Aaron.
They need to do a full shake up, the formula is old. Maybe a longer season?
Too many are cast early. Why 25 or even 30? Narrow it down to about a dozen but keep them there a few weeks before anyone gets sent home. Too many are sent home after the first episode, probably containing some good people in that bunch.
One man cognizant of her dress choices is a guy who’s actually paying attention and that’s a part of the whole thing called compatibility and reciprocity-the partners need to notice each other and what’s going on with the effort, the mental load, the kindnesses, the fidelity…it all counts in reciprocity.
Jenn deserved so much better. I could tell from night 1 that this season was gonna be just meh, but it turned out much worse
i couldn't even watch the proposal. it's so clear she didn't want people to see that. jesse immediately being like "well thanks to jenn devin marcus and everyone make sure to tune in to golden bachelorette!!🤠🤠🤠" was so gross
I loved the cringe moments of this season. Hope to see more of that in next Bachelor. When I have to hide under a blanket because its so uncomfortable I know its gooooood stuff.
I mean...did they even vet these guys? poor Jenn
I watched Jenn in an interview with Kaitlyn & she said she knew about them showing the proposal & wanted to watch it with Devin so HE could learn from it
Toxic production culture, they need to respect their hired cast, it is still a working relationship.
Told my daughter I thought she should marry Hakiem, because I want him at family dinners 😅
Just blew it for the Golden bachelor as Jesse had Joan and Mark In the audience!
Jen lacked discernment and need to continue healing before an engagement. Also when you lead with you’ve picked wrong in the past you can unfortunately attract wrong 🙏🏾 I pray she humbles herself and calls Jonathan. Slow and steady is the way to go❣️
Please, never stop ❤
I love you Hakeem and Jonathan
Still LOVE Hakeem.
Hakeem is the most hilarious and funny character…fun to watch him. Want to watch him on Paradise.
Sam also tried to make “shot o’clock” happen.
(Canadian)
Rachel - John, Dylan, Grant, Johnathon, Hakeem.
Ugh poor Jen, she deserves happiness after this mess
I always come for the bachelorette content, but I stay for the wrestling references
Whoever had access to meet this Devin he's more like devil 😈 ask him how he managed to do it fake, like fake tears, fake emotions fake fake
Wat a great actor
Don't forget about all the allegations coming out about Devin
?
At least Marcus expressed himself honestly and respectfully. What did people want him to do? Fake it like Devin did? Lot of the viewers clearly don't have good judgement skills and production set everybody up
everyone looks so extremely shady including the lady lead.
