Honestly, in some regards I think Broadcast TV is gonna eventually turn into what radio is today. Content/production will be drastically shrunken down to a local level where if you want content with higher production value you'll have to go online.
Radio itself is slowly (slower than streaming vs television) being rendered obsolete by podcasts and music streaming. You have your premium services, like Sirius XM (and HBO for television) that will always stay one step ahead, but traditional radio is also facing a crisis.
9:05 Yep, 2012 opening was the final straw for me. NBC always pulling a fast one every two years with the Olympics and it shows as the 2018 edition ended up being the worst-rated telecast since the ABC/Jim McKay era in 1976 at Innsbruck. Then I discovered the magical world of VPNs!
I really like Better Call Saul, The Mandolarian, and Westworld. So I'm only going to get those streaming services that provide it, which are Netflix, Disney+ and HBO MAX. Additionally I'll pay for the time that they are running and not when they aren't. Cancelled HBO and Disney, and now just waiting for Better Call Saul. It doesn't have to be expensive and it isn't that confusing.
As someone who works in post sound for Film/TV, we know no one understands the difference between sound mixing and editing... But we really do wish you'd google it!
Meanwhile a pirate ship sails peacefully in the background.

The state of streaming services today looks like a game of Agar.io
And none of the services offers unique features and some don't even have UHD streaming. Current state of IP rights are horrible for the consumer.
I just realised the genius of that name. When you mention it, you link to it.

That’s the smart way of doing business, but most audiences are not that meticulous.
I love your content! Just stumbled your content on my explorer page!

As a video editor, I do get it. Sound design is easily the most tedious part of video editing.
Can I get a TL;DR version?
Very enjoyable video
Terra Nova while it had it's problems I enjoyed it. Favorite show of the decade has to be Mr. Robot one of the best shows from beginning to end.
michael101591 same here on Terra Nova. It had potential, and that cliffhanger haunts me..
@@fernwood Yeah Fox really screwed the show over, I even heard they cancelled it cause it was too expensive.
All you can do is watch boomerang in the morning before work.🤑
Mr Robot is definitely the show of the decade imo. The ending was a completely perfect finish to a masterpiece of television.
I’m split between Mr Robot and Hannibal
Work It: A poor man's "Bosom Buddies" with poor execution.
Why does your video keep shifting left and right when you cut to the TV scenes? Just watch the netflix logo wobble around every second around 2:47
A stylistic choice I won’t be repeating
I fucking loved Terranova
Best content on UA-cam
I see you
Favorite show of the decade has to be Steven Universe with Gravity Falls, Game of Thrones, Archer, Breaking Bad, and Bob’s Burgers not far behind
You are 66% correct.
People usually have four streaming services on average
I'm so glad I don't watch series. Otherwise I'd be broke
Before most titles you should add "USA" of "in USA" because you are speaking only about a small fraction of the world TV history
The Buggles singed it, now it's time for us Millennials to sing this, Internet Killed The TV Star! 💻📺
HBO max litterally fucking died I hate it
My favourite show of 2019 was doctor wh- oh wait. There was no DW in 2019 cause the new showrunner skipped a whole year cause he's a knobhead!
